New/Customizable Lightsaber Hilts (and more)
Indalecio replied to Jedi_Maverick's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I have to second this. This would be pretty cool, especially since the Devs are improving the attack animations. -
What do you think the twist(s) will be in KOTOR II
Indalecio replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hmm..maybe Malak had a deadman switch or some other safeguard that would've made claiming the StarForge after his defeat a bittersweat victory. I'am betting the Star Forge came with at least a self-destruct switch. So the Star Forge blows up, or in some other way is rendered unusable. Revan still has the ships the Star Forge pumped out, he could still fight the Republic, but he doesn't really have the resources he needs for a full-out campaign. The Republic is still hurting at the moment as well. So along come a bunch of Sith which are not in Revan's camp, and wham! Both sides are smashed. -
Well I think its more along the lines of the Force(and the Jedi) helps those that help themselves. When the Wookies finally decided that enough was enough, and they finally didn't want to be slaves anymore, the Jedi were willing to help them out. Any sooner, and they'd just be viewed as meddlers into something that was an internal Wookie affair.

I think the problem with Anakin's love is that George Lucas has become a terrible writer and film director. I hate when people try to razionalize bad film making... Rationalizing bad films? What are you talking about? I certainly said nothing about whether AOTC was good or not. That just doesn't enter into the equation.

What do you think the twist(s) will be in KOTOR II
Indalecio replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Not only that. Revan and Malak's were probably not the only band of Sith out there. Afterall, Revan and Malak weren't really Sith, just Jedi gone Dark. They probably had no Sith training, just what they discovered on their own. There were probably real Sith out there, and with the Republic in shambles, they used what resources they had access to to seize power. -
I think the problem with Anakin's love was that he was immature. He wasn't ready for it. He was even a Knight yet. If he'd matured abit, showed that he wasn't ruled by emotions, the Jedi Council would've probably been okay with his loving Padme.

Well, there's not a whole to upgrade. Enemy ships already die in one hit, so unless they provided bigger targets which require more hits to kill, the weapons and shields systems are out. The ship doesn't need to go faster, as travel is mostly instantaneous. Maybe the addition of furniture? Lockerooms for stuff you don't need. Hologames, maybe? Not much else that I can think of. Maybe you could run cargo missions and you'd have to enlarge the hold?

But could the Sith bring that stability? I somehow doubt that. With so large a former Republic to rule, you'd have various Sith out there trying to carve out there own little micro-empires. There'd be plots and wars, and with possibly one or two emergring victorious. Then the old leaders would die and the process would begin anew. If you pay attention to EU, look what happened once Palpatine died. Various warlords like Zinj(sp?), Iceheart, Thrawn tried to grab power. Countless lives were lost, and all over the ambitions of a few influencial people. Well, if that was the case, it wasn't the Jedi Order who were pawns of the Sith, but Revan himself. It was originally the Jedi Order who tried to disuade Revan and others from going. -
T3 should describe the first game
Indalecio replied to Omedarcus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I could see it done like this.... The Ebon Hawk is badly damaged and T3 is repairing it. The ship's onboard computer has holes in its memory banks. It queries T3 as to specific things that happened in the past. So, by controlling T3, you'll be allowed to tell what happend in KOTOR1. -
maybe you'd get to salvage the ships? you know, add repair parts into your equipment? Well, than I'd be all for it. Either use them as parts for the Ebon Hawk, or else sell them for scrap. Otherwise its just an annoying hindrance.

What do you think the twist(s) will be in KOTOR II
Indalecio replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Not necessarily. Depending on how many Jedi left, Revan might have never met you, or you might be just an aquaintance. Or possibly, you got exiled because you left in the first place. It proved you were a hot-head; easily swayed by your emotions. What Jedi Order would want someone like that? Or something like that. Course, there may have been other things as well. -
How about a "sith lords Wednesday"
Indalecio replied to poolofpoo's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Because tomorrow's Wednesday, and it give the devs time to come up with something to post. -
The Sith Lords - Speculation
Indalecio replied to EnderAndrew's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
And they would've gotten away with it too, if not for us meddling kids. BTW, Shaggy with a Light Repeating Blaster is a sight to behold. -
The Secret of the Sith Lords
Indalecio replied to Seth Tansill's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Its your imagination, Korriban was the Sith Empire tomb world. What is on Korriban is a lot of Sith lore that was burried along with the Sith Lords in the tombs, with was what the Malak Sith were digging up. The "original" sith race civilization was primitive, what is the point of seeing a buch of stone age/bronze age tools? And, correct me if I am wrong, but the original Sith race was from Yavin IV. -
Getting away from the Dark Thug concept of evil...
Indalecio replied to Dereth's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
"You're not quite evil enough. You're semi-evil. You're quasi-evil. You're the margarine of evil. You're the Diet Coke of evil, just one calorie, not evil enough." -
Watchman seem tempting, but I'll probably go with Jedi Master.
-
No, seriously, here it is. You were a Jedi who quit the order. You're gassed and taken to this space station. You're met by a Sith Master's Apprentice. Every day, you're met by a new and different Sith Apprentice. They seem to know all about you, but they all ask you one question, "Why did you leave the Jedi Order?" In the meantime, while the Sith aren't trying to trick you, you've free run of "The Station". which is inhabited by other ex-Jedi. In the end, the Sith Master turns out to be a giant computer.

What do you think the twist(s) will be in KOTOR II
Indalecio replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hey, you know what they say, keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. Maybe Kreia's a Sith Lady, there to show you the "error" of your ways. -
Here it is. The game starts with you battling through the Star Forge. You, accompanied by Bastila and some random NPC battle up to Malak and defeat him. You then stab Bastila. Afterwards you wake up. You're on some no-name planet, and during a trip to get the scales to make some jewelery for your girlfriend, you wind up in an alternate dimension where you've been dead for 10 years, and are pusued by a cat-like humanoid.

Getting away from the Dark Thug concept of evil...
Indalecio replied to Dereth's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
People complain about the level of thuggish evil present, yet, more often than not, just want to kill NPCs. The mind boggles. <_< -
My problem with the Turret Mini-game was that if you won, you got nothing. If you lost, you got to go back to your last save. Really annoying.
-
The only ideal Sith is a dead Sith.

You probably won't be fighting enemies that you greatly outclass, or at least not often. Its better than random dismemberment, but I think the dev's time would be better spent elsewhere. I'm not really to keen on dismemberment myself, I was just thinking of a way to implement it for the people who want it without having to drastically change the code. Also, if the enemies are anything like they were in the original then we will be fighting many enemies lower than us that we outclass. By the end of the first game I found myself insta-killing maybe 1 out of 3 enemies. But, hopefully they'll fix that so the game is possibly *GASP* challenging. Well, I'd think it'd only happen, if at all, during the middle of the game. In KOTOR, in the beginning, the enemies were about par with you. By the second or third planet I'd be in my teens, level-wise. And some enemies were fairly easy. Though that was probably more dependant on what order you did the planets. That sort've changed by the end, with the miniature Rancors, and the endless waves of Dark Jedi and troopers on the Star Forge. It might be useful, but not terribly.

Uh...no. It's called an 'opinion', mate. Pardon, it was meant tongue-in-cheek. Thought the smiley covered it.
