That isn't because you get "sucked in". It's because you finally wise up to the reality of the world. The reality is that sticking with the Jedi makes no sense. Joining the Sith is the only logical choice. Less sucked in, more like addicted. The Dark Side gives them a feeling of confidence and power, and consequently they try to regain this feeling as often as possible. Which shows how weak they were to begin with if this what it takes to make them feel strong. But we were talking about the rank & file non-force using Sith.

Friday or Saturday evenings are best for me. Speaking of which, what time zone is everyone in? I'm in Eastern, US East Coast, btw. As for how this might be done, I've heard of a couple of chat clients that cater specifically to RPGs, but I've never actually tried any.

Nothing really different about that version of Gamecube in Japan. They sell a Gamecube there that includes a DVD player. The ones in the US don't have a DVD player. Thats about the only difference.

Yeah, but we're trying to limit that in-game. Because when you have a million med-packs, villains need to be uber-cheesy in order to present any sort of challenge. And no one wants that.

Advantages of the Gamecube: It has a handle...which is pretty much it... Disadvantages of the Gamecube: Too much to list... <_< Actually, Advantages of Gamecube: Significantly better/faster than PS2 Better polygon texturing than X-box Supposedly easy to develop for. Easy to play import games on. Disadvantages of Gamecube: PS2 has more games. Mini-DVDs only hold 1.5GB X-box can push slightly more polygons.

Probably play an archaeologist myself. Besides the normal combat skills, I'll probably have Languages, Knowledge:Archaelogy, Planetary Systems, First Aid, and maybe Astrogation. Ender how are you handling skills? Any skill not specifically mentioned on the char sheet is there, but at the base attribute value, correct? Do you have any house rules?

Yes, but we only have Vader's words to go by. He was implying to the Death Star's commander that there were far worse penalties for than what he could inflict himself. IOW, he was playing good cop, of good cop/bad cop. From what I see, the Emperor did very little -direct- evil, but he toyed with his underlings, played them off against each other, but all the while keeping his hands clean.

For any not knowing what I am talking about, this weapon needs to be in the game as an easter egg.

Well thats all well and good. But from what I see, being tainted by Dark Side, is like being addicted to drugs. Just like the addict does everything he can to get the next hit, so the Dark Sider will do as much as he can to get the next hit of the Dark Side's power. If there is choice where a matter could be resolved peacefully, or violently, and peacefully would be better, the Dark Sider will often choose violently, because it is then he feels the Dark Side of the Force. The best of the Sith are the ones who can best control their addiction. The only one who seems to do this really well is Palpatine, but thats maybe because he's been doing it for so long.

In that case. since the game takes place from the perspective of the main character, healing for that character only takes instant, though several minutes in-game might have passed.
