I didn't get to that point in the story yet, but... that strikes me as a retcon more than anything else. Especially since you have more than one party to corroborate the original version during PoE 1. Oh well... I don't remember any of the other gods saying that they cast her down which would be the most legit source of information. Although, the way she act in Deadfire, I can see them telling her to shut up all the time, lol. Quote from PoE wiki, with citation pointing at Iovara's in-game dialogue (I admittedly don't have the exact screenshot of that though): "Woedica, like the other gods, was created by Engwith out of the sacrifice of thousands of their souls at Sun in Shadow. Well, if the P&P isn't exclusive to Kickstarter backers and can be shared around, I'd certainly love to try and play. EDIT: I could be wrong, but weren't some of the P&P basics included with premium editions of Deadfire on Steam? If so, then I do have that.

Thank you! This is exactly the kind of "flavor" for a Loremaster I've been looking for. In fact, I'll be giving it a whirl in a second. About weapons: are you saying that weapon choice is irrelevant and everything will work equally well/poorly, or that I shouldn't bother with them at all because they will get in the way of the rest of the multiclass?

Thank you! That's a good slew of ideas for me to experiment with. I'd like to avoid using Beckoner, so the CC/debuff idea seems cool. EDIT: I've been thinking about using the damaging/debuffing phrases from afar (so max int for aura size) and using the spells to complement and/or take advantage of that, but I have no idea if that's actually doable within the system.

So, how do you guys feel about Loremasters (Chanter + Wizard)? The concept seems extremely cool from a fluff standpoint, but I can't discern if this mix actually translates into anything worthwhile in-game. The fact that it seems to be one of the least popular and discussed multiclasses doesn't inspire a lot confidence for me. Is it a case of two very different classes pulling the character in completely incompatible directions? Is there anything even close to a synergy for this particular combo? Is there any way to make it work? Please say yes.

So... unless you ally yourself with Galawain, she will always end up as an angry hobo paladin? Kind of disheartening.
