  1. As great as Sagani is written, she's a craptastic Ranger and must go. Hiravius is just too good to pass up.
  2. Odd Hermit is the type of gamer where theory about the game mechanics overrides actual scenarios. We all know this game is basically a roll of the dice during combat. High deflection or not, you're gonna get hit and bad stuff is going to happen. "middle of the road" builds are viable as well.
  3. Why is it suddenly Min/Max to be able to choose the skills of companions at level up? We should be happy that the game auto picks absolute tripe at level up for us?
  4. Devs are never going to patch what I believe needs fixing, which is the attribute/dialogue parallel which is completely bonkers right now and makes no sense. Hopefully a mod is quickly released to fix it because I hate how Might = Everything damage, even for Mages, but in Dialogue it's for twisting people's arm and acting like a Meat Head.
  5. Which is why this game is so disappointing on so many levels, is because they tried to reinvent the Attribute system and it's a poorer game for it in every way. Might for spell casters = Meat Head Mages and Priests? Might for gun damage? Might for Arrow damage? If you want to have a character that is somewhat competent in combat in ANY WAY, you need Might. Resolve and Perception are only really good for frontline tanks that do nothing else but soak up hits and auto attack. Resolve and Perception are absolutely worthless unless you want to tank and never contribute damage in combat. Resolve and Perception are also the most overused dialogue stats in the game with extremely high checks.
  6. Except it is a real issue. You're either going to be purposefully avoiding sidequests so you don't reach the cap before Act III, or getting to level 12 by Midway into Act II and playing the game for no real reason other than pushing the story along. We play RPG's for Story and progression. When one halts the game becomes very dull. It would be equally as bad if the game was nothing but combat for the last 1/3rd of the game and the story ceased to exist.
  7. I've been hearing people getting to the level cap way before the game is over. I'm starting to see why, when I'm level 7 already barely into Act II. I think a patch needs to tone down the XP gains from quests, because there is nothing worse than playing an RPG and not getting rewarded for quests you complete later in the game.
  8. Unfortunately, this concept has just evaporated leaving a bland, powerless class that has no unique role left in its place. Very disappointing.
  9. Obsidian either doesn't care of didn't find it worthy of fixing that particular companion. Maybe the Wolf is meant to be absolute garbage and do nothing? I mean look what they did to Wizards.
  10. Guns got nerfed before released, Arbalest turns out to be great at release, gets nerfed in this patch. Arbalest and Arquebus are so slow I don't even know why you'd use them now because the damage isn't good compared to the speed at which they fire/reload.
  11. I've heard it from both sides of the spectrum, that Monks are gods and Monks are peasants. it seems like it's all based on how you build and use it. personally I think they need a lot of work, I don't like their mechanics right now. I don't like how they need to take damage to use skills, and late game weapons beat their fists which is just backwards to me.
  12. Once again, the vocal minority SJW's win And they continue to spew their filth and hate with no repercussions of their own Really sad that we cave to these professional whiners
  13. Not to sound ungrateful but how the heck do new bugs get created when a bug fix patch comes out? So frustrating!
  14. I accidentally gave him Inspired Flame but I guess that isn't a terrible pick to be honest. It makes him useful when he's not slinging spells. Durance was often idle during fights for me, so having an extra Rifle in the back is huge.
  15. Not a lot of talk about the companion balance. So are they going to make the companions like...not entirely suck? I mean Eder is actually ok really. He's above average compared to most of the other companions. Sagani is just TERRIBLE all across the board for instance, and her Fox as of now has all 10's in it's stats. This is the same thing for the Wolf Companion for Rangers.
  16. Nerf to slicken..I can get over that. Now I will actually use other spells. Slicken was pretty much all you needed to do for the first 7 levels Nerf to Arbalest...this one sucks. My Ranger was an Arbalest master. I also built Kana as a gunner who chanted to increase our reload speed, that got nerfed too!
  17. I've yet to experience any of these "game breaking" bugs in 23 hours of total playtime. I really think a few people had issues and they made a mountain out of a mole hill. Suddenly people that don't even play the game start making topics about bugs and "avoid the game until a patch!"
  18. The people complaining about only certain spells being good...well I mean there were a metric ton of spells in BG and Icewind Dale and only some really made sense. There were more garbage spells than actual good spells in DnD 2.0, especially in the BG games. In BG1 Sleep was god tier.
  19. Or, just take a Ranger, take Swift Aim and have a Chanter with the Phrase that speeds up reload speed for Epic shooting fun
  20. This topic was on Gamefaqs, I can only assume that it was the same person. I personally don't see how this is a problem whatsoever. Do not click on those NPC's and ignore them completely, treat them as any other commoner or random NPC in a town. There are bigger things to worry about now such as game breaking glitches and bugs.
  21. Divinity's combat was incredibly fun, and I don't feel the same way about this combat. However this game delivers on actual Role Playing, conversations and story. Atmosphere is top notch as well, I really disliked much of D:OS because it was so tongue-in-cheek cliche.
  22. You can make up your own mind on that. But no, I didn't make it intending to troll. I dislike both of these classes as of now and I think they need to change. And no, I don't want to copy every RPG ever made but this combat system has flaws. I feel like they could have maybe made the ruleset based on DnD 5th edition and been better off.
  23. What do you think about my idea of gaining Ki instead of wounds? I feel like graze hits means the Monk "deflected" the attack successfully, gaining 1 Ki, or whatever. That should be his resource for skills, not taking hits like a Meat head.
