  1. First, it seemed lazy. There are no people in Caed Nua except the guards. Second, it gives me too much of a science fiction vibe. Bah! No fun!
  2. That's what I'm saying. I don't want it. Can it please not be a stern? Bah! No fun!
  3. First, let me say that I'm psyched about the new update. What I am less than happy about is the return of the Caed Nua supercomputer. Can't we please leave that damn talking chair in the rubble? Bah! No fun!
  4. I'm pretty sure that a written response will not compensate for your illiteracy. Then why are you telling him that in writing?
  5. And let us heal them with spells that targets individual characters.
  6. As far as I can tell, the sidekicks are merely less involved companions. Bah! No fun!
  7. Meaningful impact? If you did their mission they live. If you did not do their mission they die.
  8. Who did you expect to meet in a grand fantasy adventure? Farmer McFarmerson, John Doe and Postman Pat? I'd take Zevran - the ridiculously handsome elven assassin - any day. Furthermore, gay people may not be as rare as you think. Most of them do not wear badges. Bah! No fun!
  9. I loved it in KotOR2... on subsequent playthroughs. First playthrough and it being a sequel to the original made me expect that all companions are useless anyway so I didn't bother gearing anyone I wasn't using. Boy did I pay for that. They could have given us some warning that their might be surprise boss fights for companions. I loved it though. It gave it that A-Team vibe. Bah! No fun!
  10. How do you tell the difference between a butch elf and a skinny human death-godlike? Bah! No fun!
  11. I agree. Torment probably has some twisted and strange companions. I have not played the beta. Don't tell me! Bah! No fun!
  12. Orlans are short and they have beards. Should be good enough for you. Bah! No fun!
  13. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines is amazing. Malkavian all the way! That Lost Boys reference. Bah! No fun!
  14. There were plenty of Wendersnaven in Pillars of Eternity. There were one lady in Brackenbury. Two older guys in Heritage Hill. Most were in Twin Elm. If you speak to all of them, you get a special item. Bah! No fun!
  15. Have you noticed any literary references in PoE? I think Rymrgand's quest is a nod to "Entropy" by Thomas Pynchon. "Entropy" tells the story of a couple who are scared of universal heath death. Therefore, they shut themselves inside their apartment and put the heater on full. The story ends when they break the window, allowing the heat of the room to escape.
  16. > I should really get myself a codpiece. I've been thinking about it for a while now.
  17. If you are a priest of Wael. the dwarven librarian in the Temple does not believe that you spoke to Wael, because you need reputation in honest.
  18. You can actually make companions you do not use pass you by in experience by making them do Caed Nua quests.
  19. Aloth has always looked far too bad-ass in concept art for his character.
  20. Is it? The information is quite vague. I wish they'd give us a better idea of what they are planning.
  21. There is rape, incest, contraceptives and aphrodisiacs in the game. Sex is definitely present in the world. You can even have sex by sleeping with prostitutes and get a stat bonus.
  22. And it is completely un-noteworthy because the manner it was done was as a ret-connable choose-your-own-adventure backstory for a long-dead ghost which lasts for 5 minutes during the last legs of the game. She could be your sister, your lover, your senior that you looked up to, someone you betrayed etc. This for me had no emotional impact. Uuuuuh ... isn't choice a good thing? You get to decide the connection that would be most meaningful to you. I get that it's short, but that did not ruin it for me. There are a lot of blanks to fill in. It reminds me of the romance in Torment, though the ghost lady is a very different character from Iovora.
  23. I don't know if someone has mentioned this, but Pillars 1 had one romanceable character, namely Iovara. It is quite touching. You can even decide if it is a happy or unrequited romance.
