Crimson Skies (blows dust off) I love the environments in this game! And the ability to build custom planes is awesome! Too bad the sequal didn't live up, though.

KotoR 3: Ideas and Suggestions
Dark Moth replied to cwoocat05's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Sort of like Grand Theft Auto, too. If they did that, they'd have to make a lot of things to do in the environments. In both previous games (well, mostly K1), I liked the environments, but there really wasn't much to do that could have been done after the game was finished. Not nearly enough to hold interest. I've said this before, but real time would also be nice. To have night and day and weather on the worlds as well would be a nice touch. It get's a little monotonous after a while to have perpetual nighttime on Kashyyk. -
Hellboy and Spiderman mostly. Other than that, I never really read a lot of comics.

I bet the opposing team was sad to see him go! When I was just a beginner playing Warcraft 3 on battle.net, I was playing a 2 vs 2 game as the undead. I wasn't quite "up to speed" with the gameplay, and I hadn't even built an army while everyone else was advancing. I also made the mistake of building a lot of weaker units instead of stronger ones, since I was also slow at gathering resources. A little further in, my small pathetic army gets attacked and pretty much wiped out by an opponent. With me out of the way, both my opponents decided to attack my teammate at once. Needless to say, he didn't stand a chance. And to make matters worse, in my panic, I completely lost track of him while I struggled to rebuild my forces. I then sent what little army I had mustered to assist him only after most of his forces and buildings had been wiped out, and my reinforcements were pretty much demolished in five seconds as well. Needless to say, he wasn't very happy with me.

Who is the best Sith Lord of the KOTOR Universe?
Dark Moth replied to KOTORFanactic's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I seriously found it funny how in the end Sion was all upset over not being Kreia's favorite apprentice, especially considering throughout the entire game he seemed to pride himself on being Kreia's "superior". The guy was just begging to be put out of his misery. Besides, at least Nihilus managed to kill off a lot of the Jedi order. Sion's sole purpose seemed to be just following you around a little bit before being killed. A total waste of a pixels. -
:D (w00t) :D As long as we have the ninja.

Who is the best Sith Lord of the KOTOR Universe?
Dark Moth replied to KOTORFanactic's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Bastila. If I voted for "worst Sith Lord", it'd have to be Sion. The guy was useless and a major wuss in the end. Probably the worst use of a good concept I've seen in either game (Nihilus being a close second). At least Malak accomplished something when he was Sith Lord. -
And I would like to say that I (and a whole of of others) KOTOR's storyline and writing was superior to K2's in almost every way! K2's storyline hides behind a mask of "maturity" and "depth", while in reality it is mostly a bunch of idiotic, philosophical nonsense mostly spouted from a character who has no concept of right and wrong herself *cough*KREIA*cough*. It was more of an attempt to be deeper and mature than anything else. And if anything, K2's storlyine was the champ as far as making it seem like your actions didn't make much of a difference. In K1, the outcomes for LS and DS were radically different, whereas the outcomes in K2 were mostly the same, with the main difference being Not to mention the game wasn't even finished.

How would you "prove" Intelligent Design ?
Dark Moth replied to ShadowPaladin V1.0's topic in Way Off-Topic
I'm going to give this thread the benefit of the doubt and assume it wasn't meant for the sole purpose of poking fun at "religious fundamentalists". " I've always been ambivalent on the whole concept of creationism vs evolution. We see "evolution" happening on a small scale everywhere, mostly in the form of adaptation. However, evolution is still a theory, in the sense that the huge leap from ape to man has yet to be proven as cold, hard fact. For the record, Gorth mentioned something about the chaos of the universe as evidence against intelligent design. However, some look at that and see it as evidence for intelligent design. How could something so chaotic, random, and unstable produce something like man without a little guidance? How could you make the leap from non-living to living? Even deeper, where did the universe come from? Was the matter always there? Where did it come from? Or, did some higher intelligence call it into being? I don't think it's so unscientific to think that some higher intelligence does exist out there; even if you don't want to come out and say it's "God". Perhaps there is a being(s) out there that is on a higher level than we are, that is able to manipulate time and space itself. Whether or not you want to believe it created the earth in six days is another matter. -

Who is the best Sith Lord of the KOTOR Universe?
Dark Moth replied to KOTORFanactic's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Darth Revan, of course. :D Nihilus would have gotten my vote if he hadn't turned into a pushover in the end (and gotten more than twenty seconds of screentime). " -
^^^ Darn you Darkside, stealing what I was gonna say! As both my grandfathers were also war veterans (one is still alive, the other passed away) I too would like to extend my sincere gratitude to all veterans, both inside and outside my country. I hope it never becomes unfashionable to show our thanks to these men and women.

Best Dark Side Force Power again

Yup.

Actually, Marx did state that he believed communism could only take place through violent revolution. He felt that the upper classes were too stubborn and greedy for revolution to happen any other way.

It all depends on who you are talking about. I know many religious people like what his signature describes, and many religious people not like that. You say it is untrue, but it is true for some people. Just as what you could say for atheism could be a true account for some people. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I still disagree. But we'll just have to leave it at that so we don't spam the life out of another thread.
-
You don't know for a fact if it is his personal belief. I felt I needed to tell you it was a movie quote, because your statement assumed those were his beliefs. But regardless. how does that make him ignorant? Because he doesn't share your beliefs? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Because it's unfair and not true. I could say atheism destroys us by promoting ignorance, barbarism, and immorality. Some might believe it, but it's not true. And Lucius has made it clear that that sig reflects his personal opinion. BTW Lucius, I was referring to the part I bolded, not the whole quote.
-
A good point. Though I wouldn't talk about ignorance while trumping a sig like that. Thanks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's a quote from a movie. Now who is ignorant? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You mean, it's a quote? Really??? In his case, it also reflects something he believes. You get no argument from me.

A good point. Though I wouldn't talk about ignorance while trumping a sig like that. Thanks.

hate to tell you but communism cannot be implemented "correctly" as long as humans have free will. any and all socialist based systems suffer from an inability to curb demand, which is a byproduct of free will. capitalism curbs demand by raising prices... taks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yea, there are many kinks in it that need to be worked out. Still, that doesn't mean it won't ever happen. Russia was hardly anything like what Marx wrote about. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Unless you count the "violent revolution" part. Personally, I find it ironic that a lot of communism's philosophies actually restrict freedom, even though Marx declared communism was needed to make men "free".
