OMG!!! We've found Robin Hood's long-lost descendant.

Already read the article. Saw the photos. Bastila still wins hands-down. Mara looks like she's tripping over something in that ugly wiki photo

It's funny because it's true. Volourn FTW.
-
That's fine. But just because you don't believe in something doesn't mean it's not true.
-
Okay. You're an empirical rationalist from what you say, yet believe in God. So what evidence do you have that "proves" God exists to you?
-
Hades, you bewilder me. You repeatedly express your belief in God yet you deny it elsewhere. Which is it?

I thought it was common knowledge...

Big Trouble in Little China One of my favorite John Carpenter films, depsite its unusual synopsis. There are some great funny moments and action scenes. The Three Storms kick ass.

Star Wars is NOT satanic, lovewolf. Relax. For one thing, the Baphomet he gives in his web site may look like a perfect Yoda face, but in reality the symbol can be drawn in different ways. If you look here, you'll see that any baphomet when looked upside down might appear similar to Yoda, it isn't nearly as similar as the drawing he gives. Don't worry about the "subliminal message" here, because there isn't one. You could take almost anything and draw some sort of satanic parallel if you really tried. Yoda actually preaches some of the same things Jesus preached (love, peace, forgiveness), just minus the religous part. Liking Star Wars will not send you to hell. If you wanted to look at it from the Christian perspective, denying God and Jesus and worshipping the force (funny, I know) and/or following some Star-wars esque philosphy might send you to hell. But simply liking and watching Yoda/Star Wars is not satanic in any way. If it's just something for fun, there's no harm in it. This guy sounds like a real nutjob to me. I wouldn't be scared by what he says. And this is coming from a Christian, too.

I don't think it's impossible or completely unacceptable. *mmm...Twi'leks* Might produce interesting results, though.

Self-explanatory I think. What type of games do you like to play most, and why? My absolute favorites would have to be real-time strategy. *proudly clutches Starcraft* Nothing quite like building and commanding your own armies and beating the stuffing out of your opponent. Second favorite is probably RPG's, since I like the character-building, dialogue, equipment, neat abilities, and replayability. FPS's are definitely up there as well, since sometimes nothing beats just blowing away enemies with big guns. Or, to build on that, are there any types of games you don't like to play? Discuss.

But Bastila has as much experience in war as well. She fought in the Jedi Civil, for crying out loud, and was trained as a Jedi ever since she was like five or six. And as I said, she was bonded with Revan, which is a permanent bond. The game makes that clear. Bastila was one of the most powerful Jedi of her time, the game makes that clear too. Even without Battle Meditation, she was still strong in the force. After the game, she was a much stronger character as well. Not just in the actual gameplay, but in the story as well. She was trained in both ways of the force and was an apprentice to Darth Revan himself. It's possible she would have been in a way an "emperor's hand" as well had she been given the time. As for her being too soft to do any dirty work, did you even play the game or read any material on her? She has quite an extensive story too. Both sources make it clear that fighting the Sith with all her might was what she lived for in the game. Her character is a very headstrong, determined, yet inexperienced Jedi who devoted every fiber of her being to defeating the Sith to the point where her Jedi masters worried. And that was before she was trained in the ways of the dark side.

Voted Bastila! She was one of the most powerful Jedi of her time who DID have training in the light and darkside, was bonded to Revan and could have been his or her apprentice. Even without her Battle Meditation, she was still a powerful Jedi. As for those who say Bastila was afraid to fight or get her hands dirty, they obviously haven't even played the game. " Mara Jade was only ONE of the Emperor's Hands, although she was his favorite, and she didn't even recieve as much training as Bastila did in the force. She really wasn't all that powerful. Mara probably would have been killed by Blackhole anyway had she not been rescued. As for the fight, here's how it would probably go: Bastila and Mara fight Bastila and Mara pause and wonder why they're fighting Bastila and Mara make out

I'm surprised so many people take this seriously. Does anyone else here think the guy is majorly over-reacting? -

Sort of like Chuck Norris' films. But hey, it's Chuck Norris, so it's okay.
-
Meh. A decent film, yes. A masterpiece, no.
-
Of the two, I don't think Shakespeare in Love deserved the title more. Yes, boobs are good, but still. Not that I'm really surprised it won it. Hollywood is not very favorable towards the military or veterans, and it's never been kind to Stephen Spielberg anyway.

Tora! Tora! Tora! was a way better movie than the pile of garbage that is Pearl Harbor. I loved Saving Private Ryan. I stilll can't believe it didn't win "best picture" at the Oscars. Was Shakespeare in Love really a better film than Saving Private Ryan? Most likely not. But that's why the Oscars aren't even looked on very highly even in our own country.
