it's an interesting game to say the least. I got it and some of it's levels play very similar to the first game. but others (primairly the space levels) are extremly fun to play.

the japanese are a good society. Their view on honor can be... nasty. If you impinge upon a Samurais honor you get to enjoy a duel. This is a culture that for a very long time could not be visited without causing some wierd sense of shame for the japanese. The two times they were attacked by the mongols, they (the japanese) would try to fight with honor and would have their leaders challenge to mongol leaders to a duel... a company of mongols would promply hit him with arrows and wait for the next officer to come running down the hill to challenge.

Ok... I'm headed out to go spend some nice christmas money (putting the rest in my acct to keep it warm and snuggely) and get both battlefield2 and special forces...

It is kinda funny in COD2... you run and dive into a ditch while a pair of mg42 tears through your entire team in 1 second.... 5 seconds later(with you back at full life) another squad of 15 allies comes rushing up and lets you pick off the mg's gunners.

eh... the easiest way to knock out a jet is to use AAA. Pull up a ZSU and start turning him into swiss cheese. or just ignore him and stay indoors playing TEH SN1P4R for the entire map.

oh.. you mean the little training thing for ripping off the heads of the Gorgons? the one on the bed? of course you have to realize that this game has breasts abound in the cutscenes and some of the ingame animation. They tried to be realistic as possible (to a degree anyway) and origionally had the Cyclops with a nice little [male sex organ] that they removed so they wouldn't go into AO territory. The game is pretty sweet but extremly brutal in difficulty.

uh, the chief justice presides over the trial, but he is in no way "in charge" of any impeachment process. if congress wants to bring the articles and pass them to the senate (an impeachment), it will, regardless of what the chief thinks. also, bush had "his own" chief justice before he got to pick a new one anyway so it's not a real issue. regardless of whether you like bush or not, there's no real grounds for any sort of impeachment. he's committed no real "high crimes and misdemeanors" that can be effectively put forth in articles of impeachment. and remember, gripe all you want about the intelligence, but the guy in charge at the time was clinton's man (tenet was appointed during the clinton administration in 1997), a long time democrat. he was the one that personally assured the president of the information he was getting. taks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I notice you skipped right over the NSA bit. I'm gonna don't agree with Commisar in that I think america has become an imperialist state. Before you say anything realize that without america South Korea, Israel, and Tiwan probably would be under the control of their opponenets. In south Korea it's because we give them the tech and some extra manpower to keep the DMZ as a hard point. I know we make up a sizable percentage of the bodies on the DMZ while most of the Sk army is covering the coasts from covert insertions or an amphibious attack. Israel relies on american benevolence in equipment. We sell them aircraft and weapons. While their home made guns are great they hardly have the industrial capacity or the resources needed to pump them out in case of a war. Tiwan is easy. We keep them safe by running interference between them and the Chinese. We keep active military bases on Tiwan in order to keep china from attacking. If China decided to attack Tiwan, politically we could say we are fighting china as an agressor because inevitably the chinese government would target american assets because they could be used by the tiwanese as a cover. For china to allow the Tiwanese to run to an american military base and a embassy would be stupid because if they can't touch the Tiwanese units on the american soil the Tiwanese can still shoot out and stage ops from there.

Wow... I just realized that you could get away with near murder and not get impeached because of the mantra of "9/11 and terrorists did it!"

but they are already standing on their own. what the heck? the country was not developing in a good way, it was developing in a bad way, epitomized by the bad bad Saddam ruler. so we are responsible to interfere with a country's development, in that, we were protecting ourselves from Iraq becoming a dangerous place, and we were protecting Iraq's own people from being further oppressed by Saddam. we can stick our nose in, and we can pull our nose out. which we are doing, slowly but surely, i don't see a problem in that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So... wouldn't this give the brits the right to control america because we were opposed to them and were a fledgling nation in 1776? I mean if we are interfereing in order to preserve ourselves wouldn't that make it so we have to charge in and kill heads of state every third day on the idea that MAYBE just MAYBE that head of state harbors a dislike for america? And on the wiretap thing, if bush can allow indiscriminate wiretaps what's to stop him from looking in your window at night, or from tagging you with a microchip that keeps track of where you are? Dispite your attempt to deflect it I really don't think you want Big Brother to pop up with a vengance which is what the wiretap is.

Just going to point out two things... One: Bush admitted he went into Iraq on horrible intelligence... but he refused to pull out because we were already there... (sounds like an excuse a guy makes after making his gf preg...) Two: All countries will have detractors and proponents. America right now seems to have a very Sith outlook on the world (if your not with me your against me). And thus the detractors of america are instantly labeled terrorists. I find it funny we label entire Nations as terrorists because they don't agree with what we are doing or becasue they don't want to become democratic. also America has recently allowed the NSA to start wiretaps on all international calls WITHOUT a warrent of any kind from a court. They went soley on executive order. Right now they are debating the legality of this (I would think that it would breach the right to privacy under any and all circumstances. but that's just me.). The only good thing I can see coming out of that is Impeachment of our "beloved" republican yahoo. And yes all Nations will act upon self interest and trying to achieve cultural and military dominence. I think the reason America has become so agressive is because we feel the urge to keep ourselves as the dominant culture.

I've played it... only problem was that I kept running out of ammo and I hated the Mercs.... Also I played a little more... the main problem that I kept bumping into was that you'd be unable to keep everything shooting at you from One direction. and your allies would keep askingyou to take care of these guys or those guys on the flanks and I'd get pounded by the guys in the middle. also it's way to easy for the AI to kill me when I'm at a .30 cal.

well the thing is in COD one I used to be able to pick a guy off with a BAR from 200 yds. (I'd just do a single shot from prone position)in COD2 I can barly do that with a sniper rifle.

I have it for the PC... if your trying to run and gun (which is almost required so you can survive) you can't hit squat. I tried multiplayer and got disguested when I was fighting sombody and literally standing so that we could smell eachothers breath, and not being able to hit the guy with a submachine gun, while he takes out a rifle and oneshot's me.

If I wanted that, I'd buy a gun myself and go out for a night on the town. What you're saying seems a bit excessive, but works well for certain games, within the context of said game...like Rainbow Six 3. It wouldn't really work in a game like Halo, considering the shield and full body armor. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well you realize of course that this should be how it is in Call of duty two right? But it's not...

Normal mode is exactly that NORMAL! I seriously doubt that getting shot three times in the head on normal should let you live. Also I don't think that in Call of Duties normal mode you should be surviving 6 hits in quick succession. Or be able to dive behind a desk and feel normal...

I don't remember that students got killed for training purposes. I do remember that he lost his innocence because he was backstabbed by another student in the inital placing ceremony.

the only problem with COD2's regen is that your health comes back in about a second... and thats if you just duck behind whatever convienent cover you have because the ai will keep shooting the cover and ignore you.
