well judging by the warlordism, it looks like the country might end up fracturing into a bunch of independant states. Tho if we really thougth this might be a profit pit push would add em to the axis of evil and lickety split send in "peacekeepers" to take over the gvmt "

You certainly are: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Damn! I'm gonna have to start paying more attention to how many candles are on my birthday cake. I knew that having a fire extinguisher near by was a little odd. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> at least you can still see the cake... my dad can't.

LOL, sorry man, but that doesn't mean anything... I played SWG (Star Wars Galaxies) for 2 years and it started out that way.. was supposed to be very few jedi in the game.. when it I had enough of soe's (Sony Online Entertainment) crap there was 90% jedi in the game cause the devs made jedi a starting profession.. any ways, just cause its supposed to be one way or another, means nothing to a company as long as it makes them money... But as for a MMO vampire game... I am all for it... as long as SOE has nothing to do with it.... that could be a real sweat game.. do it off of underworld or something.. have 3 factions fighting for world dominance.. or something of that nature... vampire's.. werewolf's.. and a mix of both... with humans around the world as every ones prey... but you could even have vampire's fighting vampire's, and werewolf's fighting werewolf's also... for there own leadership.. not sure on all that but just some ideas... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm not saying that the developers wouldn't make it... I'm saying that White Wolf wouldn't let them because of this.

I'm going to point out that the computer doesn't have to deal with senate missions. Only players do.
-
just going to say there will never be a vampire masquerade mmo because that'd go against the game world, ie you'd have skillions of vampires running around in the world where theres' only supposed to be a few.

I always thought the Eqytians were easy because you had rebel towns to your west and you overmatched the Selucids on the east. I think the first thing on Egypts to-do-list would be to take care of the Pathians by taking the lone Arabian city (can't remeber the name) and limiting their expansion. But with Egypt, distance to Carthage is your friend and you can spend the first few game years in peace building up for the inevitable clash with the Selucids and Parthians. well like I say below... I'm a very concervative commander so I don't expand as fast as most and generally won't attack until I think I can deal with their entire military coming at me at once. My trouble with the Greeks was not winning battles, it was winning wars. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> the greeks are easy, keep making units in sparta and in thermon (I think) use the spartans to take back what is now greece from the macedonians. Thermon is just there to play backstop against the romans. also if you got really good diplo, try getting the romans to go to war with the macedonians.

the hardest faction for me was the Egyptians... I'd always pick a fight to the east after a while I'd be pretty good on the east but the west would be attacked by the carthiginians so I'd be fighting a two front war... usually the only thing that saved me was the fact I'm paranoid and keep a half possible garrison at all my towns (makes it really easy to field a full army real fast). The other hard faction was the britons or one of the other barbarian groups because I can't figure out how to use them to break apart the roman and other more organized formations. I'm one of the most defensive and conservative commanders you'll ever meet which is why I'm so good with the greeks. One of my favorite tactics with the romans is to keep slowly extending and keeping great garrisons. then sue for peace get it and build up four field armies with what I've got stuck on garrison duty. then promptly play genghis khan with his four hounds.

:much hacking and coughing: Ahem... Jesus is a sith. for those who don't believe, Luke 11:23 "whoever is not with me is against me" So now hades has a reason to take up the robes :D I'm gonna get flamed now...

simple rule using the greeks... always always ALWAYS make the opponent come to you... Whenever I play a defensive map with them I just cram my army of hoplites into a corner and let the other guy tire himself out (them most annoying thing I've ever fought was a rebel group of archers... can't do this because they will just kill a bunch of guys and take until the end of the map timer to get rid of the arrows) always play the greeks with the fact that they are primairly a giant steam roller. Not much can break a phalanx by charging head on. So generally if your attacking keep the flanks covered by some cavalry (the greeks have horrible cavalry tho... so pretty much consider them a delaying unit until a phalanx can come and kill what they are fighting) and maybe keep some archers/slingers behind your primary line. Fastest way to make the enemy rout is to simply pick a unit and hit it with one unit from the front while the other makes it's way around the back and plays smash the toy.

methinks that the Empire at war style system will have alot of similarities to Total war in that you do train your guys but once on the battlefield you can't get any more without either winning or loosing.

oye... don't make me go find my "video game character questions why god always chooses continue" post.

eh... you could also go with brawling instead of melee... you almost have to if you want to get some major damage out of the gangrel.
-
it's spelled catliff btw... and their -'s are that as they don't belong to any clan it takes 4 xp points to put a lvl into any of the disiplines up to lvl three where it starts changing. I'm generally a gangrel (animalism and protean ftw!) thus I turn into a giant wolf and grow claws (thus you have to get a heck of a lot of brawl) so you essencially turn into the worlds most feard brawler. They also have fortitude that increases your strenght like celerity increases your speed.

I'd say Metal gear solid two... a whole heck of alot less sneaking than in three.

30 or so hours is a pretty good average if your going for a story that people will be able to stay with and enjoy. Demands for a 100 hr story are ubsurd... I mean think about it, what most gamers hail as the paragon of storytelling and rpg is Final fantasy seven. While you can log more than 100 hrs on a game in that it's following all the side quests and trying to get everything... the actual story can be rushed at about 40 hrs. as for not holding true to the D&D franchise... well you have to realize they are using the D&D name to get Forgotten Realms.

I feel like a nerd now.

nobsquads and bloodthirster are goood against those things... as are obliterators and the Eldar council.
