Mad Davy Crash Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. You're musical, and you've got a certain style if not flair. You'll do just fine. Arr!

I thought that was Ultimate Arcade... but I could be wrong. Ultimates is just nutty and they beat up the only good characters (thor and Banner) alos the Hulk is not from gamma radiation. He's a failed attempt to remake Captain America. His second ultimate appearance (first in the Ultimates) was banner taking his hulk serum and mixing it with captain americas blood and injecting it into the vein on his forehead.

... Do I actually need to say anything?

Uh. This is, in fact, not the main reason why Deadpool cannot die. Deadpool is effectively immortal because Thanos will prevent him from dying so he cannot consumate his relationship with lady death. I suspect a fight between him and Lobo would go on forever. Unless Lobo kills Thanos. I don't know if that is possible, though. Interesting Note: Both Lobo and Deadpool have a miniature version of themselves; Li'l Lobo and Widdle Wade. Both of them also serve as parodies of rival companies' characters; Wolverine for Lobo and Deathstroke for Deadpool. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> it's not Li'l Lobo... it's Slobo. who's currenly a statue in the 30th century.

Regular version it is then. I got pushed back to the church as well, but only because the artillery knocked out the HQ. I could easily have held the bridges if the artillery shots hadn't started hitting my bridge defences. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> the last campaign mission is fun... the "bonus" objective for the medal is to kill 300 guys. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You've beaten the game already? Not very long is it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It is pretty long... I just had two days strait to work on it (there are seventeen levels and most of em take over an hour to complete.)

well they will generally survive a bit longer than in most other RTS's in that position. The problem is that in the game the MG's are supported by infantry. thus the MG's pin your poor infantry and then the other infantry murder them with extreme hate Also it's hard to get by a building inhabited by a mg team with infantry because almost instantly the poor suckers get suppressed and won't move at all.and otherwise it's just flat out hard to kill anything in a building without a flamethower. (gators and engineers are perfect for this. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It just seemed like the were far to healthy. Playing the demo mission where you have to protect the three bridges I had set up a machine gun nest on each of the three bridges with a machine gun squad in a building overlooking the bridge and a squad of rangers behind a set of sandbags. The machine gunners would almost instantly supress the infantry coming at me, however I never managed to actually pin them down and really start doing some damage. By the time I finished them all off, the next wave was already attacking. <_< It was pretty fun anyway. Is the collector's edition worth the extra money? Right now I have the option of getting the colelctors edition for $60 or the regular for $40 and I'm not sure if the collector's is worth an extra $20. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> no the collecters edition isn't worth it. On the bridge mission for me it the machine guns were cutting down the troops like grass... my problem was I didn't have any tank traps up so the tanks would just run over defenses and I ended up loosing the bridges and being pushed back to the church.

I was trying to say that Valve has never been one to turn on a hype machine that will be in your face 24/7... LucasArts has. Also LucasArts seems to be flailing (and failing) to find a game that people will like that they can say "we've still got it!" (I'm not counting Lego Star Wars, and Empires At War was ultimatly an average game because while the space combat was good the ground combat sucked and the campaign map didn't reflect what could be done (you couldn't go from point a to point C bypassing planet B. you had to do it all in sequence)) -
:sighs: :lights a candle for the memory of Mechwarrior 2 and for the Battletech books (particularly those written by Michael A Stackpole):

I'm just waiting for the pope to go senile and declare a crusade against the middle east... and then watch as all the honest to god devout christians who think that there the pope is the word of god and everything he says we must do, go and get themselves murdered with the fundementalists of Islam that cause all these stupid wars.
