lesse... superman, wonderwoman, scarlet, phoenix, silver surfer, Cable (at full power... when he was the messiah), Xman, Thanos (with the infinity gauntlet and all five gems), Darkside, Wolverine, Captain America, Collossus, and finially last but not least... What caught my attention in the tau article was the description of the Eye of terror and the third sphere expansion campigns... and how these campaigns had an effect on the games story line. For example: The tau were on the other side of the universe from the rest of the fighting so they got a job to increase their military presance and take some territory while the imperial guard and Marines were off fighting. So they attacked imperial worlds and ended up increasing their size by about 133% meanwhile everyone else was fighting to what appeared as a stalemate. But a chaos sorceror ended up trying to get into a webway gate and ultimatly failing but seems to have gotten a few in there.

well from the Dark crusade preview, the origional race (tau) are a pack of guys in suits, but they started a coalition to protect and defend the universe from it's ills (kinda like eldar... without the mysterious aspect and the xenophobia...) Anyone can join and get their neato suit. But Dark Crusade also has a second barracks that will create the melee skirmishers that will hold your opponents in place while the main tau force pounds them into playdoh.

The Authority, formerly Stormwatch Black, the covert ops squad of Stormwatch, the UN superhuman response team, is a superhero team... well, I guess they wouldn't technically be heroes... but anyway, basically, if you try to do bad, they kill you. They go around killing dictators and wiping out whole militaries so the nations that control them can't **** with people. The US nearly started an interdimensional war, so they conquered the US. Basically it was life as usual, except that they were forcing car companies to build electric cars and fuel companies to increase clean fuel research. The Doctor, who is the most powerful of the group, he can basically control reality. So he formed his own religion. Its pretty sweet. My favorite line: Welcome to LA, we're here to hurt you. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh I knew about the authority... they were the basis for the "justice lords" off of JL season two. Also Just picked up Legion of Superheroes.... Imagine a bunch of kids using their racial abilities to save the universe while getting dating tips from old comic book stories.

Yeah, the sad thing is it's near impossible to get screencaps of the coolest stuff because all my fingers are occupied. Melee+Power combos and such. My favorite is a punch right before unleashing a fully charged surge. Also jumping in and out of cover while hitting the baddies in the face with surge or a shield bubble. Also the fatalities. I had that but couldn't get past fighting in orbit after you get your psi powers because the game had less QA on it than Bloodlines and K2 Combined. (for PC)

never read the authority... I've just been working off the ultimates... and I think the ultimates personalities are horrible.

and the imperial guards get to set up mortars cannons and other "heavy" artillary. It makes up for the fact that imperial guardsmen are garbage unless in large numbers. When I get this game I'm gonna be such a Tau Tech guy it's not even funny.

hey... they balanced Aussalt Termies! the basic tau take em down in no time flat! and it looks like they gave the Marines a midpower melee... the Chaos got another big thing and the orcs got heavy ranged units.

I concur .. the best defence is a good offence.. plus the arms industry will be incredibly wealthy and bring you ind a ****load of taxes.. oh wait.. wrong reality <{POST_SNAPBACK}> well I tried that... only problem was that 90% of the brutii army as parked in greece on its way back to their capital (I think to move to Asia Minor and turkey. Plus as soon as I initiated my outlawing... three cities rioted one just outright revolted and went to dacia (starting a war with them) and the britons promptly attacked my northern provinces... I'm going back and this time will wipe out dacia, germania (who I didn't wipeout... they somehow gained one of dacias territories while I was crushing their last two) And most of briton (enough to make them a non factor) which will give me enough breathing room to focus on Brutii... I also need to pull about half my troops in spain back (I've got about four full stacks there) to the peninsula and the other side of my empire... that or dismiss everything obsolete and spend about 40 turns just building urban Cohorts and archer auxilia...

except it's not the ultimates as a whole chanting "I'm a male phallus" it's each character by themselves... it all adds up to a horrific book that I really only collect for the fights.

debating attacking rome in Total war... I control the western half of the continent, have about 28,627 "men" under arms most of em are up to date... but the brutii are heavily concentrated and their military is equal to mine.l
