  1. And my DK is now being swapped to Horde side!
  2. That is offensively incorrect, if you honestly believe that you dont know squat about comics.. The past 10 years have seen the best writing and art in the companys history. I think we're actually in a new golden age, the 'Dark Reign' event is really interesting, the art is amazing, we've got three.. thats THREE separate regular Deadpool books comming out every month!!! Disney would have to work hard to screw this up. well... Civil War, World War Hulk, and Secret Invasion weren't exaclty the greatest things we've seen. Annihilation was fantastic, but some of their other mega cross overs kinda sucked.
  3. Sometimes that's what happens in Raids. But with the badges you're getting it should start evening out. Besides ToC is FAR easier with better gear.
  4. Maybe we think that ToR is the future of KotoR? And figure that guys who know the business and how to make games know better than every person who calls themselves a fan and demeans others to make their points?
  5. Sounds like WoW is serious business. It's as serious as sports in some aspects. Basically what happened was I went from Starting point guard to the bench as the replacement if the PG got injured or needed a small rest. I like raiding, and I'd told another officer that if I felt I wasn't going to do what I like, I'd change to do what I wanted. When I did start changing things the first officer (who booted me) got butthurt because it meant that this guild wasn't the most important thing in the world.
  6. Really? Huh, I'm not sure if the ones around me have them, I haven't seen any. I've seen the compilation books that cover an entire series, but never single issue comics. They're up in the magazine section at the ones around here. Not a big selection but still.
  7. WoW, got booted from my guild for apping to another guild because the first one was basically starting to edge me out in terms of participation. I just laughed when the raid leader (who was the one that kicked me) asked how loyal i was to the guild... I responded by asking how loyal he was to his raiders
  8. You've got it backwards, Take-Two is the parent company of Rockstar (along with 2k sports and a few others). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Take-Two_Interactive It seems all you can do is pick at peoples arguements, no contribution at all. if you'll notice, under subsidiaries it says Rockstar North (among others) That said, the idea of internet petitions meaning anything is ludicrous. After all, all one guy needs to do is start making up email addy's and signing up. Heck he could probably make a computer program to do that for him. As to ToR, It'll probably be the biggest challenger to World of Warcraft. As to MMO vs SP? I don't really give a care. I think MMO will earn more money and ultimatly be more fulfilling to me but *shrugs* to each their own.
  9. Thanks, but I can't figure out how to work this thing and it doesn't give any instructions on how to work the Preppie Cheat Console Utility. Basically you open the folder and use the program and point it at your saves. Then the program will open the save you want and allow you to mess with everything (stats, inventory, levels, skills, feats, etc). You can also flick on and off the cheats tag for the save file.

  11. Not much, just class and my head-docs appt. well, in WoW I decided to switch guilds and got some nasty tells from the current guilds professional jackhole leader. Eh, from what I was seeing the guild was gonna fall apart anyway because several of the officers formed a Cabal that had a specific group of friends who could do anything, everyone else had to work bloody hard to do anything. Overall I figure I'm in the clear given that the guild I was in was generally known for being a pack of jerks by segments of the server.
  12. This but not entirely, you can have something like 25 characters spread over all the servers, and you can xfer them between realms with a fee. They're gonna make it so you can switch from horde to alliance. Also Rules on X-fers are such that you can only x-fer between PvP and PvP realms, PvE realms can Xfer to other pve realms, but not to PvP realms (PvP can "downgrade" to a PvE realm)
  13. AND kids. Marvel won't change there comics? Why not the audience grows smaller and has been for such a long time, maybe a change is in order. (Angrliy shakes fist) Stay off my lawn young punks! There are comics out there for every kind of person except those who don't like pictures in their books. The problem is people think they're just for kids or nerds and no one outside the core audience buys them, and kids are too busy playing video games to read something. It goes beyond that, when I was a kid I could get a comic book most anywhere at an affordable price, now the only place to find most comics are smelly comic specialty store with geeks that tend to scare the average person and they are no longer cheap. You lose new readers this way and it's just a small sample of one issue that plagues the industry as a whole. Actually, Borders and B&N have comic book racks. I agree however that the model of comicbook stores isn't exactly going to grow your population.
  14. I think that Mirrors Edge might be seen in the future as a star for the First Person Platformer Genre.
  15. New Raid UI!
  16. It also stands that if a game is popular, there's a good chance the game is good. Having said that, I have a feeling the original Halo will be deemed more of a classic than Halo 3, but that's just me. The original halo was a classic, the other two were just playing with the formula that Halo implimented I think Company of Heroes will be remembered as being the first real "tactics" game on the main stream market. CoD4 will probably be a classic. Assassins Creed will probably get it for the non-linear parkour. And Metal Gear Solid 2 will get a classic sticker As will Kingdom Hearts.
  17. Honestly I'd suggest using a savegame editor rather than a cheatcode.
  18. From what I understand, in order for an internet petition to even be looked at it needs a hundred thousand signatures. Even then they're usually ignored because this is the anon internet.
  19. I do think that Disney will be more in tune with getting their stuff popular and probably will be harder on the EiC's to keep numbers up and prevent fiasco's like "brand new day" from happening. Disney already had a comic line IIRC. And Marvel had a small relationship with them to produce non-cannon samples of their lineup for the disney audience (I distinctly remember a spider man v sandman comic where spidey beat Sandy by using rock music. I'm waiting for Howard the Duck and Donald Duck to teamup.
  20. I think what they're ultimately trying to do is create a competitor for Steam. Indications of where they're taking Battle.net shows they're already trying to put in the social aspect into Bnet AND lock your game in so you can download it instead of having to run around and keep track of disks.
  21. The only reason MW2 will destroy Halo is because it multi platform. Halo: Reach will most likely destroy MW2 in 360 sales. Actually in terms of popularity people generally love one and don't really care for the other. I think that MW might have outsold Halo on the Xbox but I'm not sure.
  22. Its safe, just choose 'private' under your email selection. Just gonna say, internet petitions rarely get any attention because of the fact that it could just be ONE guy doing EVERYTHING.
  23. from what I've heard yup, of course I'm only at community.
  24. http://kotaku.com/5348445/weekend-reader-s...as-achievements Basically guy gets pissed and writes a essay about how games should be ashamed at making sex into a reward. Specifically targeting Alpha Protocol because of it's achievement.
  25. It's not always about that. As good as home cable internet connections can be, if you have lots of guys in a living room all trying to play using the same line, lag can start to increase. Not that such LAN 'parties' are very common anymore. Or for those still without cable internet, it's nearly impossible. There are still people w/out cable internet who like to play games w/their family/friends now and then. For hubby, it's just principle. He doesn't want to suck up bandwidth/be forced to register/login just to sit next to me and play a game pc-to-pc. As mentioned countless times before, you can still have lan play you must just verify each of the accounts on Battle.net. No lag, yay! On a side note they're revamping Battle.net to act more like steam (so you can see when somebody is playing ANY blizzard game on Bnet or WoW) and communicate between games.
