They don't cost much so my guess is lots. IIRC though they have been turning less of a profit with each new entry. However, they still gross way more than they cost to make. I've never seen em, but I've always thought that it was basically a group of people in a pack of small rooms.

They had a huge page dedicated to the countdown to the end of days... when it finished it just sat there blinking 00:00:00:00. And then the end of days flopped on its own
-
Well hopefully the countdown ends better than the one for "Gehenna" from World of Darkness.

Meh, I personally would tie a CEO and the Executive groups salaries into how the company (or the exec's particular group if that group isn't designed for making money, like Aerojets environmental remediation team) is doing. If it's doing badly, they get a significant pay cut as part of cutting costs, if it's doing well they earn the millions of dollars that we see today. But just hiring somebody and giving them money only to watch them drive the company into non-existance because they're idiots is not a good strategy.

yup, mainly because he was hitting people by doing a blanka-esk pinball through the air towards his opponent and presumibly gore people with his pins. The story in 7 was good, some people preferred 8 but then 8 had the whole "omg we all were in the same orphanage as children and just didn't remember it!" thing. 10 was also REALLY good, a few awkward moments and some REALLY ludicrously tough boss fights (one of Seymour's forms was like trying to break a brick wall with your fists) but overall the story was quite well done (10-2 was terrible in comparison, more of a "lets cash in on the female teen demographic). and 12... well 12's story was good, but it basically played itself rather than let you play it and the difficulty was tuned to much so that you HAD to go out and grind at certain points to continue.

I logged into steam and am now staring at this deal on "AI War: Fleet command" with thoughts of possibly buying it... it's on sale for 15 bucks.

Just for the record: that's a pretty inaccurate portrayal of ADHD. Not that you guys care, I suppose. It's always fun to laugh at people with disabilities or disorders, right? >.> <has add and bipolar and usually is enthralled by cutscenes they need to just capture the guys attention, not force him to stay attentive, there's a difference.

Ok, she's better. I'm sure some of the folks on here think I'm neurotic for fretting like this over online friends but *shrugs* it's part of who I am. School today is interesting. I'm the only guy in my philosophy class that doesn't think god exists (which leads to many... battles). Today we worked on the concept of evil, and how it kinda undermines the argument that god does exist. Anyway, the general consensus from the class is that god gave us free will and thus we are free to be good or evil as we deem fit. My problem is that because god can see all of time at once, we don't actually have free will, just it's illusion because the being called god already knows what's going to happen and thus I don't actually make the choice, I just go through the motions. I was a little bugged by the "proof of god" that they gave (the ontological argument I think it's called) God is the greatest thing of all Things are better in the real world If you conceive god in your head, and because of the first rule, he exists in the world because if he is only in your head he's not the greatest thing of all Of course, that led me to start an argument over did god create us or did we create god.

*sees an image of your avatar spitting out his pipe and sending a froglike tongue to catch a coin in mid-air while onlookers drop their drinks*

Condom head, warning on language however. Just amazing what he's doing with the things.

Well, I'd guess it'd be some upgrades (probably a better AI and ship combat) but the biggest difference will be you're in the Napoleonic era.

Had an interesting weekend, for me it was relaxing, but had a friend who was doing studying etc. She was up for 48 hours and would have gone for more if I hadn't forced her into bed (well... not forced, I persuaded and cajoled her into bed to try and get some rest).

Computer speed increases will eventually be impossible

We may not be able to make the processor do calculations faster, but isn't the duel core design made so that it can do multipul calculations at the same time? -
is that set to "kids ain't alright" sargy?

not an interesting day, but last night I woke up to a cat scratching its head at my feet (which makes them damn near vibrate) and our bigger one who NEVER has been social standing in my window looking out (this was like 2 am). the bigger one (18 lbs last i knew) literally will NEVER come in my room, much less get on my bed or get within spitting distance of my head (the window is about a half a foot from my head's resting place).

Aka, the "Trial and Error" method of difficulty curve.

BTW, Yhatzee's game of the year for 08 is currently on steam for 7.50 today

I played the original Rainbow six games, and about the only thing I remember is that sometimes you'd go through the preplanned route (which was designed so that you'd hit all your objectives) and still be unable to complete. Also a specific level in the rain where you could just die from a sniper because he looked exactly like the background and was covered by the rain (that level of realism is not what you want in your games)

Was that a short sale? The issue with those is that the selling owner & agent has absolutely no control over anything. The agent can be as positive as he wants, but he has no clue. They send your offer to the bank, and the bank looks at the numbers, the neighborhood comparables, and whether they think they'd be better off trying to work with the original owner, etc. before ever getting back to you. How long the bank takes to get back to you is up in the air. Sometimes it's quick, sometimes it's....not. Well, it wasn't the bank that caused the hold. It was the owner, because she was trying to make it so that the bankruptcy didn't cut into the sale of the house (or something). Also there was a bit of fighting between the two banks that were in the houses finances...
