  1. Homebrew Media Center for teh win! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Very interesting, Servant. I am.... intrigued. :Eldar's evil grin icon: Actually, Servant knew my mind, Drakron. I use my xbox as a multimedia center. I have a boatload of songs on it. Somewhere along the lines of a thousand soungs so far. I use it for my stereo and DVD player. I don't like having 50 different machines in my front room, and it has sufficed quite well. I won't replace it with something that does not have a hard disk. I use my xbox for as a media center far more than I have ever considered using it as a gaming system. I like the games, but they're only part of the whole package. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you're really crafty, you can turn it into your own personal TiVo, minus the TiVo software that makes it so they can stuff ads in your recorded programs. You can even download program guides off the internets. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've seen people do that with their XBoxes with linux and MythTV. I have a Tivo through my cable company that only costs me a couple bucks extra since I'm already renting a digital cable box. I think Tivo costs me like $5 a month more. But the Media Center software on my hacked XBox is incredible.
  2. Just as the same way Vogon ships hang in the air very much in the same way bricks do not.
  3. Whoa! Hold on there, sir! Are you aware of the fact that said song was in fact banned in 1964 due to its highly obvious pro-drug stance? Im afraid I will have no choice but to issue a warning, this kind of highly imoral behaviour does not belong on our fine boards. And in the name of our own reverend Fionavar? Shame on you! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Quite true.
  4. Personally I'm all up in arms about the Gaza strip right now and no one is talking about it.
  5. Anything and everything ESPN put in the NHL's timeslot last year beat NHL ratings. If Poker is cheaper to cover and has better ratings, then why schill out $70 mill for the NHL? I like hockey. I miss hockey. I understand ESPN's decision.
  6. Minor spoilers. This topic will reach the Hall of Fame. Season 2 will suck us back in. I can feel it. http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=21038
  7. No, it came with a floppy disk with RAID drivers. Most people expect you to download RAID drivers. I love that Windows XP even with Service Pack 2 does not have RAID drivers built in.
  8. Shameless bump!
  9. Overall the forums are quieter than they've been in a while.
  10. Exactly. Given that I could get really good defense from armor, and STR affected to-hit and damage without a feat, I went that route.
  11. JRPG = Japanese RPG. CRPG = Computer RPG MMORG = Massive Multiplayer Online RPG
  12. That is pretty close to my build, except swap Dex and Str. I decided to use armor, and I didn't need a very high Dex. In KOTOR:1, lightsaber will default to Dex or Str, whichever is higher. In KOTOR:2, you need to take a feat to use Dex for your saber.
  13. Haven't people found hidden areas with giant fish in the game exploring the cut content?
  14. Comp Killer Bugs are a Pool of Radiance Ubisoft/Stormfront tradition. ^_^ PoR always, always crashed when you saved it 20-30 hours in; rendering it corrupted and having to be uninstalled. But it always intalled to your C: drive regardless of where you specified. As a result what does it do? It deletes your hard drive! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That was a meta-game puzzle you were supposed to solve to beat the game. Duh!
  15. I'll but them at the first major price drop, but which one I buy first depends on what games are out at the time.
  16. I think one could say the same thing of Tim Burton.
  17. David Blane also levitates infront of people. I'm not sure how he does it.
  18. I think both are silly and way too biased. I watch CNN and I've seen them report both sides pretty frequently.
  19. Updated with Sacred 2 and Divine Divinity 2.
  20. I like most of the Final Fantasy series, Xenogears, and suprisingly Kingdom Hearts. I haven't played too many JRPG franchises however.
  21. Eru does as well.
  22. The 486DX-66 was a great processor!
  23. I can't compare the XBox's speeds with caching and without since there is no option to turn caching off.
