Just because the title was announced recently, that doesn't mean it was started recently. The title was started shortly after KOTOR shipped. And they're not doing a new engine. The game may be wrapping up this summer.

I don't care what the relationship arcs are so long as the characters are interesting and the relationships fully fleshed out.

That's funny. One of the long-running jokes of my Star Wars RPG group for years was this droid that published conspiracy theory hourly. One popular conspiracy theory was that Emperor Palpatine wore pink panties. To quote Wesley from the Princess Bride, "they're terribly comfortable. Is it confirmed that Dooku is Tyranus? I didn't read the Episode 2 novel. It may be in there. No where in the movie is Dooku called Tyranus. And Lucas said the mystery of Tyranus would be revealed in Episode 3.

CTM, Your theory is fine. If you want positive feedback in your posts, I highly recommend the use of paragraph breaks and punctuation. Otherwise people won't pay attention to what you're saying and they will flame you out of hand. We know there will be multiple villians. I am guessing that we will have four or so main worlds with a Sith Lord on each, much like we had with the Star Forges. I also suspect you can do these in any order again. If your theory is correct, Yavin IV may be the place to end the game. Imagine a final showdown with Exar Kun's force ghost.

Most of the early novels were considered fairly cannon. Lucas hand-picked authors and approved plotlines. And early authors pulled the material from the Dark Empire comic series and incorporated it into their novels. It's not pure cannon because it's not the movies themselves, but the Dark Empire series is widely accepted. There is also the question of when Palpatine started using the clones.

I think there should be a "lucky" NPC. Increased criticals, more money, random stuff.

Didn't Boba Fett have the synth-rope as a wrist-fired weapon as well? I'm excited about the individuality of the NPCs but I'm also a little concerned considering the number of recruitable NPCs in the game is > 10.

A two or three month swing isn't huge. So long as the game is finished properly, I don't care when it's released. And while I think there is going to be a big push for console and PC sales during the holidays, I don't think sales for the game would be greatly increased by a Holiday release. The game is hyped enough that it will sell well at launch regardless. Waiting until just after the holiday increase of console sales however could boost sales of the game.

I'm debating as to whether or not Dooku is a Sith apprentice. He studies the Dark Side, and may have learned a few things from Sidious. However, Maul was the _one_ apprentice, where as Dooku left the Jedi Order ages ago. I think Sidious had his eyes on Anakin the moment Maul was dispatched. "We will be following your career with great interest young Skywalker." I think that Sidious has been molding and teaching Anakin for a while whether or not Anakin realizes it.

Count Dooku does not have a "Darth" designation, any many people have argued that he is a Dark Jedi and not a true Sith.

I need to update the list, but MCA said today that belts and gauntlets probably won't show on your character model.

The curved blade allows for methods of parrying not otherwise available.

That all depends on lightsaber physics, which are somewhat of an unknown. Curved blades add a huge advantage with typical swords.

If you're making a cinematic game... I think I remember FU saying that they were working on higher-res textures for the PC version, so I don't think we'll be getting a HDTV version on the X-Box.

Having the forums is nice. And it's nice to see the dev's stop in with comments. However, I don't think fan feedback will have a large impact on KOTOR:2 because the game was already well into development, and the engine won't see many changes.
