Morrowind is not the greatest RPG in the universe. It does have a huge world to explore, is very open-ended in character construction and gameplay. The voice acting is alright, and the music is decent. The graphics seem a little dated, but are not bad. There are fan made plugins that update textures and faces. I think it's worth giving a shot.

Google does have a sense of humor. It used to be if you searched for "What is more evil than satan himself" it would direct you to microsoft.com

I have cooked a few ducks in my day, but it's always sad seeing baby animals die. I love little critters. I have several ferrets, and if my lease would allow it I'd have more animals. I may be getting a 5 foot python next. And eating duck is overrated. There is no meat on the birds.

I served in the United States Marine Corps. I did NATO training with troops from other countries. I have great respect for the ROK (Republic of Korea) Marines, the Isreali Air Force, and I suppose, the British Royal Marines. I would contend that the US military has the best technology in the world, and some of the best training. All that aside, I think it's silly to think that no one can touch the US. When you discount your opponent, you get a rude awakening. The Isreali Air Force is the finest in the world. They fly more missions and get more air time, while flying many of the same planes we do. (We build them for 'em). China's tanks can't really stand up to our M1-Abram. However, China has a huge economy, and a very large military. China and the US did go head-to-head once in a stalemate (Korea). China had supply lines and the advantage of locale. The US had no supply lines, and lost more troops to hypothermia than gun-shots, but I wouldn't discount China's army. If I ran things in the military, standards would be increased even more. Everyone would go through a minimum of 13 weeks basic training, with another month after that in pure field combat training like the Marine Corps.

Hidden endings and codes for KOTOR2
EnderAndrew replied to Darth Jebus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Has anyone here played Jedi Starfighter? There were unlockable extras. The absolute best extra was a short "flash" style movie called "A Day At Lucasarts" It was priceless. -
I am stoked at the possiblity of having a show down with Kun's force ghost on Yavin IV in some ancient temples.

Something about the villian
EnderAndrew replied to alanschu's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Thrawn's trilogy of books reminds me very much of the original trilogy. They really do recapture the magic. And if you haven't seen Episode 2, I recommend it. It's far better than Episode 1. -
Overuse of the double-bladed saber
EnderAndrew replied to guns1inger's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It would be one thing if the double-saber, or double wielding was merely a stylistic point for your character. But there is a sizeable difference rules-wise. The extra attacks from dual-wielding is very considerable. -
Something about the villian
EnderAndrew replied to alanschu's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Grand Admiral Thrawn was the villian in Timothy Zahn's Star Wars novels. If you only read one trilogy of Star Wars novels ever, Zahn's are the books to read. They are widely regarded as the best. -
Since the theatrical release of the trilogy won't be on DVD (Lucas shudders at the quality of the special effects in the late '70s) entire generations may see Star Wars for the first time as the Special Editions. Doesn't that scare you?

I'd love to see a villian like Thrawn but I doubt it will happen. -
Have you guys singled out or fixed the bug where NPCs following you can be made to "fly"? There are instructions for this glitch on gamefaqs.com

They don't taste nearly as good when they're covered in sewage.

That hurts to read. Greedo shooting first? ANH got changed the most. Adding the dewbacks, and cleaning things up didn't bother me. Changing major plot points and adding a HORRIBLE cgi Jabba was a huge mistake. ESB was the best touch-up. The backgrounds in Cloud City look great. ROTJ is alright. I was serious about not caring for the new Ewok song however. I did like the shot of Coruscant.

I'm sorry but you're mistaken. Plenty of Star Wars documentaries touch on Lucas at the time on ANH going for the British feel of the Empire. Name one non-British actor amongst them. The British comedian Eddie Izard even has a bit about it. David Prowse also bitched for years because he didn't know he was going to be voiced over in a ANH. He was cast because of his British accent, which was too thick coming through the mask. The voice over was a post-production decision that Prowse didn't know about until he saw the film in the theatre. Even worse, the death scene in Jedi was filmed with a different actor so Prowse wouldn't know about it. Despite being the "body" of Vader in all three films, he didn't get a script in the shooting of Jedi, and he didn't get to be the face under the mask. Lucas didn't trust the actor with the secret of Vader dying.

Complete freedom works in certain games, and doesn't in others. Black and white photography is great for enhancing contrast, and color photography is great to point use beautiful hues. Each has their use.

In homage to Shady's sig line: You're hanging around on your native planet when the Mandalorian Wars break out. You wake up hung-over when your buddy tells you he's an alien. In fact, there are plenty of other alien worlds and your world is about to be destroyed. You combat your hangover with the careful application of a few pints, and then leave your planet right before it's destruction. You then begin hitchhiking around the galaxy.

Good point. MMORPGs also take forever to develop in general.

That is one thing we agree on.

I hated when they took out the old Ewok yub-yub song and replaced it with an inferior Ewok song!
