I really want a droid to make me bagels. If I had a droid, I'd install a bagel toaster and a mini-fridge.

LOL! That's pretty much what I did. I played pure LS except for two exceptions. I killed Bendak, and I did the Geohardan quests. Bendak was a killer, and the Geohardan quests involved going after scum-bags. I closed my eyes and reminded myself the galaxy was a better place for it.

Demigod does have a point. However, before we worry about aesthetics, we need to make droids useable and valuable party members first, IMO.

Hey, I admitted I was wrong. I was always told that Henry Ford invented the first automobile. He didn't even invent the first production automobile. He invented the second production automobile, though it was the first to really hit the market.

I think the Clear Channel example is a good one. The FCC theatened legal issues if they kept Howard Stern on. The FCC has gone nuts lately, taking down radio shows and threatening web comics. All the attention is on how Michael Moore is being censored, when he isn't and no one is paying attention to the FCC. I'd like to take a lead pipe to the FCC guys.

I think Michael Moore is a very intelligent man. I credit him for pursuing what he believes in. That doesn't make all of his claims true. Like I said before, the United States didn't really start any wars in the 20th Century. We finished a bunch though.

WWII had it's fair share of propoganda on all sides. The United States showed children's cartoons with Hitler as the villian. However, WWII propoganda was all opinions and idealogy. You chose to accept it or not to. The propoganda in Iraq consists of two sides throwing around numbers and supposed-facts and I suspect there is alot of deception and lies going on.

That's why foreigners don't respect the US. We can't play soccer/football. Well, our women can.

You speak about the Freedom of Speach. It's dandy. Freedom of Speach allows Moore to film that documentary, and to release it. No one is stopping him. Disney didn't want to release it, and yet they owned the rights to it. They could have burned the footage, and there would be the end of the story. Disney has had all kinds of problems with contraversy and the Christian Coalition maintaining a boycott of everything Disney. Instead Disney sold the movie away so that it could be released. Where is this mass conspiracy to stop this movie from being seen? All I see is news articles talking about it, Apple showing the trailer, and Miramax hyping it with Lion Gate films. There is no cover-up here. And CBS has the freedom to broadcast or not broadcast whatever they want. That's the freedom of speach for you. No one should twist their arm and force them to express a political opinion they don't agree with. That's not censorship. Censorship would be if the government stepped in and outlawed the show. When CBS chose not to broadcast it, they were execising their right to free speach and chose not to show it.

I take that back. Karl Benz invented the first automobile in Germany. Six years later, Americans were building the first prototype and production automobiles though.

As far as sports-killings, I haven't heard anything like that. The US media had no qualms protraying the US military as villians in Viet Nam. It is a possibility that Arabic news stations are showing footage and claiming it came from CNN. Then again Arabic news stations were showing footage of rubble early in the war and claiming that the US intentionally bombed all the schools and hospitals in Iraq, killing all these civilians. The Red Cross came in, and lo and behold the hospitals were intact, though abandoned. I keep hearing claims of bombing tens of thousands of civilians. First off, the line between civilians and soldiers isn't clear right now. Secondly, I keep hearing conflicting stories. When the smoke clears and the dust settles, I'd be curious to see arguments on both sides.

As far as I know the automobile was invented in the states. The biggest invention myth I know about is Guttenberg getting credit for inventing the printing press when China invented one much earlier.

I think Americans should join the global community in learning other languages. I speak 10 words in Japanese, and broken Spanglish.

Whether you live in the US or around the globe, I think most people would agree that the BBC and CNN have been fairly reliable as major news networks providing global news. CNN is owned by Ted Turner, or now AOL-TIME Warner. During 1996 when the olympics were in Atlanta, Ted Turner hired thugs to pick all the homeless people off the streets of Atlanta, throw them on a bus and dump them outside town. It was despicable. CNN reported what Ted Turner did, despite the fact that they were ratting out their boss. CNN shows reports from Arab TV stations, claims from Islamic militants, democrats and republicans. CNN has shown children now attending show in Iraq, as well as the protestors in Russia calling Bush a tyrant. CNN is where I get 95% of my news from. FoxNews hired Geraldo as a journalist. And they got kicked out of broadcasting in the UK for irresponsible journalism and making stories up.

People in SoCal have no clue that the outside world exists. When I told people I was moving back to Omaha, Nebraska people kept asking where that was. I explained it was about dead-center of the country. People kept saying, "Oklahoma, where?" One person said Omaha was a dangerous place to live because they saw this TV show called Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom, where lions and tigers ran around. I explained that Mutual of Omaha is one of the world's largest insurance companies, and they sponsored a nature show filmed in Africa. They insisted that Omaha had lions and tigers. My girl-friend at the time from SoCal couldn't name any states that weren't on a coastline, and referred to the rest of the country as the "dirt-states". I've had people ask if we use horse and buggies in Nebraska.

People keep blaming sanctions on the condition of Iraq. Before the sanctions existed, Saddam kept his people in poverty and lived in the life of luxury. After the sanctions, he just made things worse. He rigged his oil drills with bombs, took out his own water treatment facilities and used troops to keep food out of major cities. But the world liked Saddam and calls Bush a dictator. I really believe alot of this stems from anti-American sentiment in general, and people are using the Iraq situation as an excuse to vent their pre-existing hatred for America. I didn't hear the globe singing America's praises either when Clinton was in office. The UN didn't care for his bombing of four countries either. Super-powers are rarely popular. As far as I'm concerned, the President of the United States should concern him/herself predominately with doing what they truly to believe to be right and worry less about public opinion. Clinton was popular with the American public, but that didn't make him a good man. I think the last President to be both popular and decent was Kennedy. We seem to get one or the other. I wish we could get someone like Tony Blair over in the states, or have Colin Powell run for office.

Having lived in the LA area, I can attest to the fair-weather nature of the fans there. That's why both NFL teams left the LA area.

China pirates billions and billions of dollars every week in US IP's such as music, videogames and movies. US novels are translated in countless languages, where as few foreign novels ever get translated into English. The Harry Potter craze being an exception to this rule (HP being written by an English author rather than an American author). And while the Toyota Corolla is the best selling car in the world, and Toyota is a Japanese company, the United States invented the automobile. Futhermore, the Corolla is produced in plants in Southern California, and Canada. Ford Motor Company and General Motors are still the big giants in the auto business. You're surfing the web on a computer right, or are you still using the heavily modified gameboy advance? If you look around, you'll likely find yourself surrounded by US inventions, though most US products are made with foreign labor.

The United States does. We have the second largest stockpile of nukes in the world. I'd uninvent them all if I could, but that's not going to happen.

I think stupidity is a human condition. There are stupid people all over the world. The United States has a population around 290 million people. (It's hard to tell with so many undocumented illegal aliens) So, with a population that huge, it's not hard to find stupidity if you're looking for it. If Americans are so dumb, why do the vast majority of inventions and intellectual properties come from the United States?

LA will still sell out a Finals game. The question is, when they lose, where will the fans be next season when Phil and Kobe are gone?

Moore has several published books, and every one of his documentaries has been distributed, including his new anti-Bush documentary. People publish anti-Bush stuff all the time. There is no conspiracy to stop people from speaking out against the government. It should also be noted that Moore spewed a bunch of lies in his Academy Award speech last year. I liked Bowling for Columbine, but I have little respect for Moore. I think it's funny that you claim Clinton told the truth and Bush lied when they said the exact same thing. Are you aware that the Sudan government arrested Osama Bin Laden after Clinton dropped bombs on them? Are you aware that Osama Bin Laden was on the FBI Most Wanted List and admitted to organizing terrorist attacks on the United States, but Clinton refused to take custody of Bin Laden as a prisoner? Are you aware that while Clinton was in office, and during his campaign he was found to take money from the Chinese government? In turn he made China our favored trading partner (they pay little to no tariffs to sell products in the US) and Chinese business officials were found buried in Arlington National Cementary, which is supposed to be reserved for our war heroes. Did you know that Bush has gone to war with two countries while Clinton went to war with four? Yep, count them, four. Who is the war-monger? Bush pursued diplomacy with Iraq while Clinton bombed them without even speaking to the UN or the world seeking support. Clinton dropped bombs in Serbia without asking anyone, and killed plenty of civilians. You see relief packages were yellow, and so were the bombs. You talk about biased journalism. Are you aware that Fox News, ABC, CBS, and NBA are all owned by Liberals? That's the group that is anti-Bush in case you were wondering. You wonder why we keep hearing news in Clinton's defense, and anti-Bush crap. Are you aware that Bush passed legislature to increase water standards for the first time in 50 years? Clinton promised to do that, but in 8 years he never did. Bush fought drug companies, and insurance companies to lower the cost of prescription drugs for the elderly, those on medicare, and people suffering from HIV in South Africa. Bush demanded that auto-manufactures need to be more enviornmentally conscience and put out hybrid cars or pay a penalty to the government. He gave tax breaks to owners of hybrid cars, and supplements the cost of production. He also gave money to the furthered research of fuel-cell technology. Michael Moore and the liberal media said Bush went into Iraq to steal oil. Do some research, and you'll see that's not the case. Bush has done everything in his power to make it so the United States wouldn't need or use oil as much. Clinton promised to pass certain laws, and back-pedalled. Did you know that Bush pushed through more laws in his first 100 days of office than any other President in history? Clinton lied about drug usage, affairs, spending, foreign policy, you name it. I'm not sure I've ever seen Clinton really keep his word on anything. I remember a speach where he promised to put forth legislature to have uniforms in public schools. Clinton was a chronic liar that never admitted to making a mistake. Read Primary Colors and you'll get a clear picture of who he was. Bush lacks certain social acumen, and I disagree with some of his policies. But Bush is not a liar. Let's try a small exercise in common sense. The foreign intellege community of the world all agrees that Iraq has WMD. The UN says it, and both Democrats and Republicans in this country say it. Bush makes it publically clear he has his eye on Iraq. He warns them to comply immediately or else. We pursue diplomacy for two years. We see caravans of trucks leaving Iraq and going into Syria. When we invade Iraq, Syria is continuing to evacuate people from Baghdad into Syria. Syria sends troops into combat against the US and openly admits to supporting Iraq. IS IT POSSIBLE THE WMD ARE IN SYRIA? Yes. We found small amounts of WMD in Iraq. We found training labs, and manuals for the use of WMD. All evidence points to the fact that they once had WMD. If Bush was a liar, we could plant WMD in Iraq. If this was some great conspiracy, don't you think he would plant some there? Does it make any sense whatsoever to have this great conspiracy based around WMD, lie to the world, lie to your country, and then not take the next step and plant WMD? The claims that Bush lied to bring the US into a war are not only false, the notion makes my heart hurt. It makes no sense what so ever. I dare you to make a logical argument debunking my claims here and demonstrating how he lied. I'm laying down the gauntlet. Please go ahead and try. And while you're at it, I'd like to remind you that we also liberated 25 million people from a true dictator. You do know what the word dictator means, right?
-
The only lies I see are the above two statements. Bush never lied about WMD. Bush, Clarke, Gore, Kerry and every democrat in the world said Iraq had WMD. Clinton bombed Iraq over WMD. The UN Security Council said Iraq had WMD. Also, Clinton was never impeached. He was censored. They considered impeachment. Likewise, Nixon was never impeached. Jackson remains the only US President to ever be impeached. And as far as the impeachment with Clinton that was pursued, if you followed the case of read the Starr report, you'd see it had nothing to do with sex.

Well, Yoda and Shakespeare both transpose their sentences. Maybe Yoda will be a classic in 500 years.
