I think that Kobe is shopping teams like the Clippers to put fear into the Lakers. I bet Kobe will sign with the Lakers so long as Shaq gets traded.

I'd post the Interplay cartoon again, but I don't the the mods would like that very much. Frankly, you can't afford to pay your programmers, and buy reviews. What's a company to do?

You "forgot" to use the force? oh, come on....

I think most of the previews said you "were exiled" rather than "exhiled yourself". I'm not trying to nitpick, it just occurs to me that we're overlooking a big chunk at the backstory here. -
It helps having four computers at home, though my notebook is pretty old (Pentium III with 64 megs of ram). I can still get online now that Cox has the internet back up.

Grr. I really apologize. Everything fell apart over the last few days. I've had to do some overtime for work for a special project out of no where, a power storm fried my main PC, and my net connection for a while. And my body decided to self-destruct. I caught some nasty stomach virus, and I could barlely get up from bed to hit the bathroom yesterday. I've been pretty sick. Hopefully I will get better!

I remember the days when people said true graphics would never be transferred across an internet connection. Sheesh. -
Thanks. I'm still pretty sick. I can barely sit upright in my chair.

Consider a few things. In the KOTOR-era, according to the comics, very few areas of the galaxy were explored. Hyperspace was a new, growing technology. And I thought in the comics, blaster pistols were replaced with laser pistols. Since interstellar travel is so common, technology might hit a a plateua while trying to bring every new world up to the level of the Republic or Empire's technology.

I hate to burst bubbles, but Akari said a playback feature will not be implemented.

I like PC's, and I prefer that platform in many instances. However, I haven't seen any KOTOR mods that add substantial replay value. If you add new planets, and a good storyline, then we'll talk.

How about making KOTOR2 work with ATI cards?

Who here thinks Orson Scott Card is...

I once had a first edition of PKD's first book, Clans of the Alphane Moon. I got it as a present as a child since I loved books so much. It was lost in a fire. -
Well, it's up to Mitch Kupchak to pull the trigger on the Laker's side (which means Kobe has to tell him to).

Best Tom Clancy thrillers made into films?

I agree. I think Sum of All Fears lost some of it's meaning by being modernized. -
I miss steakhouses that would allow you to take a bucket of peanuts, and throw the shells on the ground like the crude beasts we are.

I dug Sum of All Fears. I was wary of Ben Affleck, but I think he provided that everyman feel that Ryan is supposed to have. He's not this great action star despite having a Marine record. He is a man who makes important and decisive decisions. He persues the truth. I think Affleck captured that well, and he had a great chemistry with Freeman. -
I watched the speech Bush gave before the war started. Bush said the primary reason for going into Iraq was the liberation of 25 million people. That was before a single troop was on the ground. You're confusing media editorializing with Bush's actual statements. Some quick fact checking will show that you have been misled in this regard. His JUSTIFICATION was based upon UN resolutions. The UN authorized force in Iraq in the first Gulf War. A UN resolution called for a cease-fire dependent upon Iraq following UN resolutions. Then the UN said that Iraq failed to follow those resolutions. Thusly, the cease-fire was null and void. And the UN passed another unanimous resolution shortly after 9/11 threatening Iraq, and demanding immediate complaince or else. They still failed to comply. And in case you missed it, the US did find WMD and evidence that large batches of WMD are still missing.

I seriously blame it largely on how horrid radio stations are in this country.

I do believe that the action star Sho Kasugi claims to be an actual ninja. And can we call practitioners of Ninjitsu ninjas?

I know people who immediately dismiss sci-fi as being puip garbage despite having writers like Bradbury, Clarke, Asimov, Vonnegut and the like in the genre. I had a literature professor who refused to acknowledge that there was ever a decent sci-fi book, but then again, she refused to read them. Pity. -
The movie had a great cast and a great director. And when you're dealing with the whole of Trojan mythos, you have to focus on one aspect of the story. Many people have changed the story a bit to fit their version of the tale. What gets me is that despite great visuals, great acting (from everyone but Brian Cox), a good score, and carnage galore, the movie didn't completely do it for me. It was good. I'd give it 7 or 8 outta 10. The movie lacked a fitting climax, and lacked a true villian. It was a bold move to try and be objective in telling the story with no clear protagonists and antagonists. However, I think it was a foolish move, and one that ultimately failed. Brad Pitt was much better than I expected, but his character is still an ass. It's hard to develop a whole lot of sympathy and support for him, where as Hector is a noble everyman, and a loving father. Paris is an impudent and moody chump. He brought down the mass carnage, and survived by being a coward. Yet, ultimately it is he who has the happy ending, and bests the mighty Achilles. Then again, I can nitpick and point out plenty of flaws in Return of the King, and I love that movie.

Name one person that can consistently guard Shaq. Name one player. Even when LA got beat down in the Finals, Shaq had a pretty high field-goal percentage, and shot respectfully from the line. The Lakers refused to pass, and Kobe threw up a million desperation shots. Meanwhile, Gary Payton was as asleep on defense as Phil Jackson was on the bench, so guys like Billups were able to light up the scoreboard. The Laker's loss had very little to do with Shaq. Go back and watch the games. Shaq may not have a whole lot of great years left in the tank, but he could deliver a title in the next three years if a point guard and a defense appear around him. The Lakers are currently insane. Rudy T is a good coach, but who really wants to play for a team run by a player primadonna?

I'll take hip-hop over rap any day of the week. It's just that I really hate rap lyrics most of the time.
