  1. Amen. Off-topic: I really dig your new avatar.
  2. You're missing all the memos. You do get your paychecks, right?
  3. I'm a big fan of this feature in general, and I wouldn't be totally opposed if the feature was included, but Star Wars really needs a Star Wars soundtrack in my opinion.
  4. Yeppers. The same thing if you increase your Sense down the road, you don't have to grab a Sense skill right away. Maybe you want to save for a Control+Sense+Alter power.
  5. There aren't a whole lot of Alter powers. There are plenty of Sense+Alter powers you grab later though. Also, I've noticed that a few people have missed picking skill specializations. You get 3 of them. And you get your one sh!t skill. Put one die into a skill that fleshes our your character story wise, but doesn't affect direct gameplay too much. I believe one person took Frungy as a skill (a sport). You could take Holo-Chess, Wookie Poetry, Yodeling, whatever...
  6. They were protestors complaining about no-pants fridays! You guys should seriously consider investing in blinds!
  7. I'm not sure any sites stream it anymore. They sell a Hardware Wars DVD for $20. The short is only like 10 minutes long. There is a commentary track as well, but I won't pay $20 for a 10 minute movie. If they sold the DVD cheaper, I'd probably buy it though. Hardware Wars is priceless. Check your favorite file sharing program. Here is a teaser. Teaser Also, there is a new special edition hardware wars with 20 new scenes. I haven't seen it though.
  8. Yep. I have to agree that I've found more difficulty in optional bosses in console RPGs than I've found in a CRPG.
  9. God help me. What have I done? Did I accidentally spout a good idea?
  10. Becoming a Jedi involves a level of self-conflict. It is natural for humans (or whatever species you are) to experience emotion. Yet, for a true Jedi, there is no emotion. There is only peace. You are supposed to let go of these feelings that seem to true to you. Yet, if you do as such, are you really living? What is the point? Imagine that the Force is like an ocean. You step into it, and immerse yourself in it's unimaginable power. One wave can crush you, and that is but one wave in the gigantic ocean. Yet, you as a Jedi place your hand in the path of said wave and redirect it. A Jedi moves and reshapes the Force to achieve a desired affect. Judging from the original trilogy, it would seem Jedi Masters (Obi-Wan in his old age and Yoda) prefer meditation, and simple lives over dipping into that vast power. Surely, they could become gods with their mastery of the Force. Instead, they choose to find their place within the Force and avoid making waves themselves. There is self-conflict in deciding to use the powers in what you believe are honorable efforts, or to see balance and harmony. The Force also guides you. The Force can give you hints of what is to come, as it seeks to create balance. Should you question these visions and seek to change Fate? Should you let the Force make decisions for you? All of these things are part of a quest of self-mastery.
  11. Do you think the Crew of the Ebon Hawk likes to use the McDonalds fly-thru?
  12. Maybe the point of being a Jedi Master isn't achieving mastery over the people around you, but rather self-mastery.
  13. The first DVD will have Seasons 1 and 2 (the seasons that aired). It won't include the upcoming Season 3.
  14. Star Wars has PG, and featured dismemberment. People keep saying you can't hack a limb because it's Star Wars. Well Star Wars features quick a few limb removals. I don't think they should happen randomly all the time, but in a cinematic or two....
  15. T3 had no personality. I require personality out of party members more than I require stats.
  16. You should put Akari back in the kennel before he gives everything away, or at the very least, unleash Avellone to release disinformation to confuse us.
  17. Akari is perhaps the most forthcoming of all developers. Akari has given us more info on this game than anyone else. Akari has also tried to integrate our suggestions. And this coming from a lowly interface developer. Wow. That has my head spinning with speculation, you evil, evil man.
  18. Boba Fett was really cool because you hardly saw him, and he was very mysterious. The same factors apply to Yoda on certain levels. Leave his race a mystery.
  19. So they can be in Orange County and work for peanuts? That's an improvement. They get better weather, and a SLIGHTLY cheaper cost of living in Irvine.
  20. I can recall Guns and Roses and Smashing Pumkins both mixing classical orchestras with rock music before Metallica. Metallica just did a 2 CD set of it. Metallica once was a great band, and S&M is their best recent release. But I consider Metallica to be the band that once was.
  21. I'm not sure the setting was what made the game great. In fact, the setting doesn't interest me that much. I found the chant nifty, but I'm way of Sigil in a modern 3d engine.
  22. I wanted to see Supersize Me. It was playing here, but quickly got replaced by Farhenheit 9/11.
  23. I find this list laughable. I'd like to hand you a copy of Ninja Gaiden. I'll bet you $100 you can't beat it. You're mindless hatred of the X-Box is rather funny. Many so-called RPG players think Diablo is the greatest game on earth. And most dungeon crawls are ridiculously easy. I haven't come across a HARD RPG in ages. Can you name one?
  24. DVD discs are more sensitive to scratches. DVD drives are manufactured to avoid scratches more. I know a lot of CD players the scratch discs horribly.
  25. DVD Drive for $25 with free shipping
