KotOR II Movie/Music Patch Coming Soon
EnderAndrew replied to funcroc's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
A content patch won't get released, but the movie/music one might get released. Obsidian said they had that patch finishsd quite a while ago. All LucasArts has to do is approve it. -
Shocking News! Daikatana dude leaves Midway!

Even though I'm sick, I'm doing a happy dance. -
You suggest that the only unique spells are lightning damage/fire damage, etc. I suggest you haven't really played the game. Flying, levitation, attribute boosting, attribute drain, fatigue drain, fatigue boost, health drain, health boost, water breathing, summon creature, conjure item, etc. all count as unique effects. I think I counted 26 unique effects. I think if you really break down a good percent of D&D spells there are the same thing. How many spells are summoning, illusion, damage/evocation, or conjuration spells? The only difference between one damage spell and another often merely is duration, target, damage, element, etc. Given that Morrowind had as many unique spells as any other CRPG, but thousands more combinations, I'd say you can't really bad on the system.

Gauntlet is nearly done, and I imagine Sawyer already laid tons of great design work for that game. I imagine at this point they're finishing art assets, beta testing, and worrying about balance, etc. I'm glad Sawyer is coming to Obsidian, and that is going to a NWN:2 and not New Jersey. -
That's a nasty rumor, but I'm guessing this new account with zero posts is an attempt at trying to get two accounts logged on at the same time. Again, I assume that it's not possible.

Compare D&D magic. D&D has spells that englarge, levitate, shrink, conjure items, summon creatures, damage, etc. Overall, the Player's Guide probably only has say 40 unique spell effects. Most CRPGs don't really have more than 20. Morrowind had something like 20 truly unique main effects. However you can modify if the spell effects an area, a target, self, etc. You can modify if the spell is instant, duration, etc. You can modify if the spell does static or ranged damage. You can modify elemental attributes. It can drain life, or regen life. Then add the truly unique affects like levitation, summoning, conjuring, enchanting, etc. To say there are only a dozen effects is really a folly.

Again I say, SS is secretely Steve Sansweet, and the entire website is true. -
Gmail uses the same technology as Google ads on webpages. It reads the page, scans for content and then generates small text ads based on the content. They swear they are not reading or keeping that info. Honestly, I don't like Google has the staff to really be reading everyone's personal email. I could post a screenshot if someone were curious. Unlike most web-based email, there aren't ads all over the place. There are no graphical, pop-up, float, pop-under, flash or java ads. There are no ads in your mail inbox page. There are only ads when you are specifically reading a message, and they are very small text ads off to the side. If you weren't looking for them, you probably wouldn't notice them. I should also note that right now I have 2400 megs of free storage (as opposed to the 5 megs some places offer), an incredible spam filter so that a spam message has never reached my inbox, and threading capabilities so when I get a response from someone, I can see all the emails in that conversation. And it has Google search built in to find old-emails. With all the storage, you never have to delete old emails again. You just archive them.

Mind you, I haven't gotten so far in the game to play the new plot of either expansion. I was just finishing up Balmora and all the quests for all three guilds there when my HDD crashed last time. I was probably easily 25 hours in the game, and yet I was still in the "beginning".

Just don't open your eyes. Lord knows what you'll see, and how much sanity you'll lose.

The Game of the Year edition includes some fixes, and both expansions. Tribunal actually fills out the main game more, as some of the major plot they wanted to put in the main game got cut, and then later included in that expansion. Tribunal and Bloodmoon each add a whole new continent to the game, with new plots, quests, items, etc. Bloodmoon also adds Werewolves, and the ability to become a werewolf in the game.

You have to be crazy. I did the math and there were thousands and thousands of effects. Morrowind had one of the best magic systems I've seen in a CRPG.

I don't know what the rules are here on this forum. Some forums have policies against giving out Gmail invites for reasons that I have never clearly understood. But I don't want to violate any forum policies. Thusly I won't mention that I just got refreshed with 50 GMail invite codes. I won't mention that GMail is easily the most incredible email account I've ever seen. I won't mention that I pity the fool that doesn't have a Gmail account at this point. I won't mention that you could theoretically message me for an account.

Given his interview with Odin, I wouldn't be surprised. -

I think the major plot NPCs should have voice acting like Fallout, where as the minor NPCs can be just text. It allows the game to have far more dialogue. -
What old game would you like to see..

I wouldn't buy one. -

I remember when they gave free NGage systems to a bunch of webcomics trying to get the devices hyped up. I think it was a good idea. The consesus from the webcomic community seemed to be that it was a poor gaming platform and a really cool phone. -

In the pen-and-paper game, and the LARP game, I think the Tremere clan is the only clan that is really unbalanced against the rest. Tremere are twinky. I don't know what they are like in Bloodlines. -

I wouldn't go as far as cannon fodder, but they should be slightly weaker due to older technology. I don't like how the Jedi Starfighter is made to be the greatest starfighter ever.
