  1. If I really was posing as a troll with a second account, I'd save all the good jokes for me.
  2. Either that or someone took my idea and created an account to mimic me. Our posting styles are fairly different, and our posts aren't 15 minutes apart. Several times both of us have been posting replies in the same thread at the same time, with the responses coming mere seconds apart.
  3. I honestly would have preferred that the league fold permanently and a brand new league form.
  4. God, I want another TIE/X-Wing game. They might as well make one with ships from all 6 movies.
  5. Really? If the players signed, there would be no lockout. The owners had no money. Most teams in the league lost millions every year, and Ottawa officially declared bankruptcy. Financial analysts said that 90% of the teams in the league simply couldn't afford one single year under the old plan. Yet you insist the new deal is just a way for the owners to make more profits. There weren't profits in the first place. The owners were to blame for over-spenind in the first place, but every single league without a salary cap has faced the same problems in the first place. The owners knew they made a mistake and attempted to rectify it. Players had to know they were overpaid, and refused to play. If the players refuse to play, how is it an open-and-shut case that the owners locked them out? When neither side is contracted to work with the other, and neither side will agree on anything, then you can't point the blame solely at once side. The players never agreed to a salary cap until the end. The proposed revenue sharing, and pay cuts, which the owners hadn't pushed for initially. Now the owners got revenue sharing, 24% pay cut across the board, and a salary cap.
  6. From a financial standpoint, when you have far more ships, you may not want to put shields on all of them. If you play TIE vs X-Wing, you'll find both have their advantages. A TIE's speed and manueverability make it far harder to hit in the first place. Plus, the Empire never believed a war would be won or lost with fighters. They were all about capital ships, which always got shields.
  7. 3rd Edition came after SPECIAL I'm willing to bet.
  8. I only recognize the karma police. Don't get Diaper head started on thought police. I think he's stuck between 1984 and Bauhaus records.
  9. SPECIAL isn't perfect, but I'll take it over D&D.
  10. I've seen far buggier products released, and the companies backed. You specifically knocked MCA for his statements in that interview. What should he have said differently? I think you have no understanding of the industry, and if you logic is that we judge people solely by released products, then you need to just MCA by his released products. And his resume is pretty impressive.
  11. Name one time the players said they would play if the owners allowed them to play. The players said they refused to play by the existing agreement, and would not sign a new one. Clearly, it's a one sided situation where the owners locked them out.
  12. The players originally refused to sign an offer that had no pay cut, but proposed a salary cap. They held out as much as the owners locked them out. Neither side would agree, and thusly neither side was willing to play hockey games.
  13. They did. They actually closed their office completely, and are not set up in a new office. But let me find an article for you. Industry sources are reporting that LucasArts have cancelled all internal projects but one, and layed off up to 50 staff. Apparently LucasArts have declined to comment. http://bigkid.com.au/2004/08/13/lucasarts-layoffs/
  14. I don't recall if it was Imperial specifically. I know it was supposedly an older fighter, and not as new as the TIE-Fighters, and that it was inspired by the Z-95 Headhunters.
  15. It would be nice to have an option to roleplay your character in a RPG. Two major divergent paths are almost becomming standard in RPGs.
  16. The Rebels didn't win with the Force. The Force may have guided one torpedo shot, but the rest of the battles were won with troops.
  17. Feargus Urquhart, Chris Parker, Darren Monahan, Chris Avellone and Chris Jones founded Obsidian. Look up their resumes some time and tell me they don't put out quality products. These guys have been in the industy a very long time, and put out some of the best games of all time. Chris Avellone was the lead designer on Planescape: Torment, which some have called the greatest PC game of all time. When they were paired up with a publisher who practically went under at a bad time, they were forced to release a product early. Lucas said LucasArts was actually in debt, and that's why they are being folded back under the arm of ILM, and their offices closed down. You may have missed when LucasArts laid all of their staff off in September.
  18. The Sabbat have as much of a structure as the Camarilla, but I don't care for them. In fact, I don't care for either group as I hate large group politics. The Sabbat is led by a Regent, who has Cardinals, Priscus, etc. It mirrors the Catholic church.
  19. Baley should get the B word emoticon. I don't have one.
  20. With Indy riding in the background like the Lone Ranger?
  21. Getting your own emoticon has to grant you even more XP.
  22. Working doesn't always constitute a life. Often work is mundane trudgery.
  23. I don't believe I've ever personally claimed my brother posted under my account because I don't like with any siblings. I'm 27. I also maintain this entire board is a giant simulation. Maybe you're not aware of T.O.M.B.S. but I take the game quite seriously.
  24. The NForce 4 Ultra has built in gigabit ethernet, firewall, and all kinds of goodies.
