One news article proves him to be guilty beyond all doubt? I love the media.

The combat is really boring in both games. I think the point of replay is see the new outcomes and dialogue options. If you think dialogue gets in the way, then maybe you shouldn't play RPGs.

about how many times have you beat kotor 1

Once as a LS Male Guardian. Then I started a second game a a DS Female Scout. I murdered random people, while Carth as a party member joined in, only to scold me saying that he didn't support random murder. In the same conversation that he was expressing disgust for me, he'd hit on me. Then I'd tell him to screw off, and he'd tell me that I was hot when I was angry. That killed the game, well that and the boring combat. -
I think you should run into atleast 50 Good Dual-Wielding Drow Rangers a day.

I couldn't agree more on removing low-level resouce management. There is no strategy in simply micro-managing and mining faster than the next player while you both send hordes after each other.

I hate when anyone passes the buck on anything. This guy is responsible for his actions, and he should be held accountable.

What do lockdowns have to do with Computers and Consoles? I say lock this thread.

D6 had six attributes, and skills fell under attributes. You rolled your skill against a difficulty number, and you always had one wild die. A 1 one the wild die meant a complication, and a 6 on the wild die could be rerolled. That made for 1 in 3 rolls having some sort of dramatic effect. The rules were very simple, fast and fluid. Most games have a core mechanic that isn't complicated, but really that was it. There weren't twenty new mechanics for combat or anything. Roll your dice pool against a difficulty. One thing is that your attribute and skill ratings weren't entirely static. Instead of having a 12 or 18 STR, your STR would be something like 3D. If you put 1D into Brawl (under STR), you would then have 4D in Brawl (as it adds to your attribute). Raising your attributes raise all skills under them, but is very expensive. You simply rolled to hit, damage and soak. You do have to add up dice, but there isn't a bunch of subtraction. For some reason players seem to prefer adding numbers over subtracting them. Don't ask me why, but players complain about THAC0, and Gurps for that very reason. There are no complicated armor rules. Armor just adds dice to your soak roll.

Recruiting for Obsidian Diplomacy Game 3

I think the only country that would have a really difficult time winning the game is Austria, but really this isn't risk. Your ally could be on the opposite side of the map, and instead of directly supporting you by being your neighbor, they could be drawning an enemy's attack away. Think pincer attacks. If England and Germany were combining against Russia on my Northern front, then Turkey might eat up Russia in the south. I don't believe the only way for Turkey to win is to combine with Russia. I'm not saying the Juggernaught is a bad idea, and perhaps it is an idea I may have been interested in if proposed more directly in the beginning. The game is still on, so I don't want to give too much of Russia's strategies (or lack thereof) away. However, I maintain that I suspected Turkey may have turned on me, and I responded accordingly. My aggressions toward Turkey haven't been totally crippling to this point either. Russia is divided on many fronts, and Turkey could still grow to become a serious power. There is really only one nation out of this game so far. -
Slashdot had an article on the courses a while back. I don't recall where.

Out of the original list, I suggest all except NWN.

There are nanotechnology college courses you can take now. Eerie.

I didn't say that you did. I said I had reason to believe that you would. -

My in character posts are signed as such. I wasn't aware that out of character posts weren't allowed, as I see plenty of them. I don't understand what your objection is. -

One could also contend that Russia's actions in the other game will make players gang up on me in the next game I play in. One player alone can not win any game without the support of his/her peers. If I were to win a second game, it will be because players will want to make alliances with me, even after the first game. That's why I try to make it a habit to not actually turn on, or betray other players. The only country that I've even really been working with, and turned on thus far has been Turkey. And I didn't move on you until I had reason to suspect you were attempting to double-cross me first. -

Greece can become interesting. I'm seeing several possible outcomes. To the players I attacked this turn, I reiterate that it is nothing personal. 'Tis just a game. -
I believe GURPS was the first major universal system marketed, but that doesn't make it the best. GURPs really thrives on the disadvantages/advantages system which became a merit/flaw portion of so many other systems. GURPS isn't a particularly good system. FUDGE, FUZION, D6 and D20 are probably better ways to go.

Star Wars or Matrix with GURPS rules

If you're too lazy to role-play a reaction, then there shouldn't be a reaction. If you just want combat and number simulation that is fine, and then random NPC reactions shouldn't really matter. -
I fear for X-3, but I can't wait for the spinoffs.

Why not just make an Empire at War thread here in the computer and console area?

I'll play so long as I'm not stealing a seat from a new player. -
I don't believe in spending more than $200 for a video card. I've found that 99% of the time I can play most any game on the market at max settings with a $200 card, and I don't actually get a significantly better gaming experience spending say $500 on a video card. And that $500 video card will become a $200 card before you know it. I look at the return I'm getting versus the dollars I'm spending.

If video games warp us and sap away our free will, forcing us to mimic the actions of video game characters, then 30 years ago everyone would be eating pellets and chasing ghosts.

When I think RPGs, I don't think off Full Spectrum Warrior.
