  1. If an outside unit attacks Country XYZ, then it fails to support Country ZYX. Isn't that right? So they would basically be holding each with the strength of one unit.
  2. That is certainly the case, and I wouldn't be opposed to a second game.
  3. So far GURPS Lite looks alright. However I am not crazy about random NPC Reaction rolls. For some reason, I think that NPC reactions should be based on role-play, and not ROLL-play.
  4. It's from a new Star Wars fan-film.
  5. Ranma is pretty long, but I enjoyed it.
  6. The specs on the Jedi Starfighter make it the best damned fighter in the Star Wars universe. And I thought the fighters the Jedi Starfighters were shooting at in Episode 3 (Tri-shaper fighters) became TIE fighters.
  7. You don't really need all those books, but they tend to kind of accumulate. Good thing that 4th edition doesn't have that many of those books yet, but it's only a matter of time. The rules are also somewhat optimised now. Interested parties should check out the free GURPS Lite. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I haven't checked out 4th Edition, so I will check that out.
  8. It is Deus Ex Machina, and thusly lame. However, the actual ending of the movie is far more lame.
  9. I said supposed to. I'm not a big fan of creating all those examples of previous technology being far superior, especially since there doesn't appear to be a Dark Age between the prequels and OT, yet the awesome Jedi Starfighter just disappears.
  10. For example, War of the Worlds. Tom Cruise is not the hero of the picture, merely the protagonist. No one expects him to defeat the alien menace. Yet the issue must be properly resolved. If you're going to use Deus Ex Machina (which is weak sauce to begin with) you might as well do it in dramatic fashion. Instead of bacteria saving the day, it should be a third party. The alien invaders can't be the only alien race with such technology, In a crucial moment, as Tom is fleeing the Tripods after barely avoiding becoming fertilizer, they are again seemingly trapped and facing certain doom. Then other aliens swoop in and destroy the tripod in stunning fashion.
  11. Agent Smith is different from the other agents, and that much is certain. The other agents seem to watch him cautiously in the first movie. Programs all seem to have identity and individuality in the Matrix universe.
  12. In Buddhism you must conquer yourself. Either way Agent Smith is not Neo. Agent Smith existed before Neo. Agent Smith is however changed because of Neo.
  13. I live aiming with a mouse, and moving with an analog controller. So I'm screwed.
  14. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0419706/
  15. Technology is supposed to get better as time marches forward.
  16. Anything reasonably close to the main character in third person view would still be in focus. In first person view, focus would be more difficullt to determine.
  17. True, but I thought it was a bit cliche none the less not to mention over the top. I can understand a city destroyed. But understand that London was bombed all throughout WWII and still survived the years of bombing. A planet's surface is huge, and it's hard to imagine an entire planet's surface completely destroyed just like that.
  18. Yep, Malak supposedly destroyed an entire planet with a ship despite Han Solo saying several thousand years later the entire Imperial fleet couldn't destroy an entire planet.
  19. Hey, I enjoy PC gaming. But for certain games, I prefer a controller.
  20. How was Tactics horribly broken? I think Summoning is the most powerful magic, but other than that, I think it's not bad.
  21. I'd like to see predominately new cities and if we're going to Unknown Space to deal with the True Sith, I think we'll get several new planets.
  22. The buttons are often easier to reach on a controller as opposed to a keyboard. A keyboard is designed for two hands, where as you often play games with one hand on your mouse, and only one hand manning the keyboard. And if you aren't exactly sure which button does what, a 108-key keyboard can be more intimidating.
  23. There is no real point to Dragon Ball Z. It is just one over the top battle after another with no real drama behind it. People fly in the sky and exchange meaningless blows until someone goes Sayan mode and shoots "end-move" blast. Eventually the characters can learn to go Super-Sayan, float into space and shoot nuclear blasts out of their ass. Each battle is bigger in scale than the previous one, but they play out the same.
  24. Arguing about posts per day is sad.
