  1. MCA actually showing up and reading a thread around here? I haven't seen the devs on these forums in a while, and ofcourse the one thread he reads is when I bust on him for Kreia's dialogue in the end.
  2. It may be 2 years before we see the XBox 360 or PS3 near the $150 price range, and that is when most console sales occur. Yet for around $200 you can have a nice modded XBox with all kinds of functionality and a huge game library.
  3. Ultima VI offered up a new interface and system. It may have been the first mouse-driven RPG I ever saw. The game threw you directly into the fire. The game opened with combat, and it really pissed players off. Some level of tutorial can be nice.
  4. I grew up with 80's music. I just don't like it. And I grew up on the West Coast.
  5. Since I discovered: I found a new love in my life. Sorry Hoff.
  6. I think 80's music is really overrated on the whole and I'm getting sick of it. We've been listening to 80's music non-stop for 25 years.
  7. The commercial for NCAA 2006 is playing on my TV and it keeps cutting from actual video footage of a college football game and the video game. In these cuts one thing keeps jumping out at me. It seems the greatest disparity between high-res graphics right now and photorealism is focus. We only seem to be paying attention to texture details and lighting. Why is it that we haven't developed a toolset, or that DirectX hasn't focused on a means to focus the camera on a primary object, while background objects lose focus?
  8. So everyone agrees than Alanschu and I should design KOTOR:3? Now we just need to call LucasArts.
  9. I'd rather see more titles like Final Fantasy Tactics. The few card-based games I've seen don't seem to be as strategy intensive as I had hoped. Instead, they seem to be able luck and spamming through cards. Though in all fairness, I don't have a PSP and I haven't played Metal Gear Acid yet.
  10. I played Shadowrun for 2 years and I say the system is unnecessarily cumbersome. The damage system is really stupid. And for the record, I'm not saying that I like hit points so long as they are not used in a level-based system. I said L5R is the exception, where it is the only system with hit points I like.
  11. Tool and A Perfect Circle were both founded and fronted by James Maynard Keenan. Tool is a bit heavier, and more industrial. A Perfect Circle is another story. Their first album features some incredible violin work, and I think they have a fairly unique sound.
  12. They post more on the NWN:2 boards than they do here as of late. If there is a Black O next to the thread, click on it and it will go directly to a developer post. Welcome to the forums, btw.
  13. All good choices. I also really like A Perfect Circle if we're naming mainstream rock bands.
  14. Because people are madly in love with fictional characters.
  15. True TOMBS diehards need to be able to play even when they are away from their PC.
  16. Most beatemup games feature women as sex symbols.
  17. You're playing it right now on the PC.
  18. I lied. I have played a LucasArts game. I started up Full Throttle can didn't seem to get past the first 2 minutes of the game and never played it again. I may still have it in a folder of old game CDs.
  19. Does he suggest that you are Unbreakable, and is his name Mr. Glass?
  20. As much as I'm a MCA fan-boy, I think her exposition in the end was poor writing. It is a pivotal point in the game and it failed to deliver.
  21. I don't think it will take up too much staff or take away from other projects, so I don't care too much.
  22. That paragraph lists both part of the reason why someone suspects a grassy gnoll shooter (forward and left motion) as well as the opposite view point. The whole article seemed to play devil's advocate and support both sides. I listed it to be objective, and as a source for some of the disagreement about where the shots came from.
  23. This is a really good read, as it is very thorough, and cites references all throughout. http://www.assassinationweb.com/scott.htm
