  1. He specifically was referring to shooting a grenade with a controller as opposed to a keyboard.
  2. Post count is irrelevant (except in T.O.M.B.S.)
  3. That's odd. Most people feel controllers are simpler than keyboards.
  4. The first console games in the early 80's were arcade ports, and some early computer games were also arcade ports.
  5. Goldeneye and Halo introduced new generations to multiplayer FPS action for the first time, and thusly they believe these games to be incredible. Most of them have never tried a PC FPS game in a LAN setting or online.
  6. I've seen three of those, and while they were visually incredible, I felt they were a bit boring.
  7. I was one of the few not horribly impressed with Goldeneye. I still own it, and I enjoyed the game, but I felt the deathmatch or versus modes weren't nearly as neat as say Half Life or Quake.
  8. I played Goldeneye, and apparently Perfect Dark is on the same engine.
  9. You know what cartoon had promise was Clerks the cartoon.
  10. {insert galactic badness here}
  11. When isn't that the case?
  12. We had three pages batting around what we wanted to see. Bitter much?
  13. It will hit the PC market. The console only needs the GPU itself, and infact, ATI isn't even manufacturing the GPU, IBM is. In the PC market, we need a full on card with heatsink and GPU.
  14. What do people think of American Dad? I'm not digging it as much.
  15. Oddly enough I could care less about this patch.
  16. Alanschu is going to unseat Baley before you know it.
  17. You might as well wait for the new version with 33% more content.
  18. Mech combat doesn't interest me either. Evangelion features a large meta-plot heavily rooted with Judeo-Christian mythology and the end of the world, mixed with good interpersonal storylines. From each episode to the next I was dying to know what was going to happen.
  19. Most people who followed the project probably already know who I'm talking about, but I'd prefer not to toss names around.
  20. I'll start a new topic for this later. I'm going to try and get my wife to email me a copy of the design doc from home and I may dust it off tonight and then try to get ahold of people again. But the for the time being, we should shift back on topic.
  21. We're at the tail end of our current generation. The next gen will start that cycle again.
  22. My best friend (a far better programmer than I) joined the team, and then not only never responded to email, but never once posted at the team forums. Darque, I understand why she left. Volourn, well he just never actually wrote.
  23. I thought the same thing. I tried establishing an email address for each team member, that either forwarded to their email of choice, or a new mailbox if they desired @projectfanout.com Most team members were real eager to sign up and make huge promises, while a few never even would get back to me on their email preferrences for how the team could contact them. In the end, about 4 people out of 17 seemed to want to work.
  24. The story was generic, and about a generic hero, though your family history comes into play a bit. The game had a lengthy development cycle and they outright promised an RPG masterpiece. They delivered a moderately fun Action-RPG.
  25. I established a rule that I needed every team member to send me a status report once a month. I never received a single one.
