  1. I wouldn't call it vengeance. Seeking revenge wouldn't be a Jedi thing to do. B) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> and we know how much you like Jedi.
  2. I'll be getting KOTOR 2 when it's released and possibly pick up Republic Commando when it hits the bargain bins, or at the very least, when it gets its first price drop. As you mentioned, it's the story aspect that I enjoy, so RC doesn't hold my interest as much since it's not story-driven (atleast not to the extent TSL is supposed to be).
  3. That seems to be the popular consensus. If done right, that could actually be interesting if the show portrayed how the Rebellion was actually born, and the early days of its fight against the growing Empire.
  4. I kinda like this theory. Sort of a "if any of my former soldiers are still alive, here's my droids and ship for you to save the galaxy" type thing.
  5. I really hope it's NOT Canderous in the gold armor. I think it'd be cooler if it was an original character with some kind of interesting backstory (such as a former Sith soldier or something).
  6. Hopefully the devs don't give out details that affect the story, such as this one might. I'd rather play through and find out than read about it on here.
  7. Darque speaks tongue.
  8. Sort of semi-on-topic, with Lucas announcing that the SW franchise will probably move into television in 2006, which era do you guys think this will occur in? Do you see a KOTOR-era show? Personally, I don't know if KOTOR-era would be that interesting as a television show. I don't know if the "Jedi-Sith" battle translates well to the small screen.
  9. I agree with this 100% I think the thing is KOTOR chose to go the "storyline" route, and I suppose a lot of its freedom suffered because of it. But at the same time, I personally "cared" more for the KOTOR story and its characters than I did for the Fallout 2 characters and story.
  10. I lost interest in Britney when she became a full-fledged whore. She was actually somewhat intriguing when she atleast pretended to be a good girl.
  11. You know you CAN report him to a mod if it bothers you that much, instead of posting about how you had to change your avatar in every post you make.
  12. I'm thinking possibly the "intellectual" one, ala Dooku. I think Sion takes the mantle of the Maul-Vader-Malak clone, the fighter with not much political savy, so it'd be redundant to have any of the other Sith Lords act like a walking terminator Sith.
  13. I'd take Kreia over either of these two anyday. errmmm....uh....
  14. no way man. That Jedi is wearing Jordy's visor from Star Trek!
  15. I want to see how the DS ending from KOTOR affects my LS playthrough, making it seem as if everyone is against me. That's why I'm playing LS first. Then my second playthrough will probably be as a DS, but answering the last game as a LS ending.
  16. btw, I don't own an XBox. I was responding based on my PS2 games and a PC, but there was no option for "PS2 and PC" so I just voted for PC.
  17. A bit of both. For "twitch" games, I use consoles, since I suck with the mouse/keyboard set up most PC games use. But for games like KOTOR or games like Civilization, then PC.
  18. This is way off topic, but where are all these cheap games? Every bidding war I see ends up bumping the price up over $15 US at the bare minimum.
  19. That'd be an interesting twist.
  20. Lucas talks A couple of interesting comments: Q: Why not release both the originals and special editions on DVD? LUCAS: The special edition, that's the one I wanted out there. The other movie, it's on VHS, if anybody wants it. ... I'm not going to spend the, we're talking millions of dollars here, the money and the time to refurbish that, because to me, it doesn't really exist anymore. It's like this is the movie I wanted it to be, and I'm sorry you saw half a completed film and fell in love with it. But I want it to be the way I want it to be. I'm the one who has to take responsibility for it. I'm the one who has to have everybody throw rocks at me all the time, so at least if they're going to throw rocks at me, they're going to throw rocks at me for something I love rather than something I think is not very good, or at least something I think is not finished. And... Q: Do you pay much attention to fan reactions to your choices? LUCAS: Not really. The movies are what the movies are. ... The thing about science-fiction fans and "Star Wars" fans is they're very independent-thinking people. They all think outside the box, but they all have very strong ideas about what should happen, and they think it should be their way. Which is fine, except I'm making the movies, so I should have it my way. And about a possible continuation of Star Wars: Q: After "Episode III," will you ever revisit "Star Wars"? LUCAS: Ultimately, I'm going to probably move it into television and let other people take it. I'm sort of preserving the feature film part for what has happened and never go there again, but I can go off into various offshoots and things. You know, I've got offshoot novels, I've got offshoot comics. So it's very easy to say, "Well, OK, that's that genre, and I'll find a really talented person to take it and create it." Just like the comic books and the novels are somebody else's way of doing it. I don't mind that. Some of it might turn out to be pretty good. If I get the right people involved, it could be interesting.
  21. I think you posted this on the wrong forum. Lucasarts handles the press release stuff and advertisement, so I doubt Obsidian would know what's being released for the public in October.
  22. I'm hoping that Lucasart's announcement of a February PC release is just their little joke to us PC gamers, so we'll be surprised when Santa (aka Lucasarts) releases the PC version in time for Christmas. [/end dream sequence]
