  1. I agree, having someone like Vrook be behind it all along would actually be somewhat intriguing (albeit following the movies a bit too closely), but I just can't get Ed Asner's voice out of my head and I don't picture the dimwitted grumpy boss of Mary Tyler Moore as a Sith Lord. Although his daughter Jules on the other hand.....*drools*
  2. It would be fun to see whining Ed Assner as Don Corleone of all the Sith. Maybe he was always hidden leader and Revan and Malak his lackeys whom he sent to find starforge and start next sith war? You know like Palpatine in prequels... he was talking so much about dangers of dark side to hide himself among stupid masters and was destroying order from within? To me his talk and attitude was very suspicious. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Somehow, I can't see Master Vrook wearing that Sith Mask and being good with a lightsaber. I still hope it's Bastila
  3. I just wish people would actually provide a link or some kind of proof before posting threads like this. I don't actually care either way if he lives or dies, but any type of thread like this becomes annoying with everyone worrying about something that isn't even proven. Maybe I should start a "Oh Deear God NO" thread about how I heard from my neighbor's pet fish that the main Sith Lord is actually a demented Ewok.
  4. Umm, considering that at the time, no one knew anything about the Emperor other than by name. The ONLY villains we knew were Darth Vader and those aboard the Death Star. It's the exact same situation now.
  5. They appeared to be in shambles, just like we thought the Empire was destroyed after ANH. Don't forget that the Sith weren't just at the Star Forge. And don't forget that the Republic was already in a weakened state after the war with the Mandalorians.
  6. Same situation as A New Hope. The Rebels defeated the Death Star and celebrated their victory, but the Empire was still powerful in Empire Strikes Back.
  7. Akari, How many of you guys at Obsidian wanted to kick someone in the teeth at Lucasarts after you found out that they decided to go with an earlier release date for the US Xbox version after all this "simultaneous release" stuff leading up to then?
  8. Why oh why did George have to "fix" what was never broken in the first place? As good an actress as Natalie Portman is, I don't think she's right for the Padme role. Padme is supposed to be more like Leia, a "proper" woman. Natalie is better suited playing those "New York girl accent" characters. And Heyden came across as too whiny. I know they were trying to portray Anakin as frustrated with being held back, but instead of whiny, they should have went for anger or sadistic, sort of like the brief period when he slaughtered the Sandpeople. That was pretty much the only point where he looked like he was slipping to the Dark Side. The rest, he seemed like he was just throwing a tantrum.
  9. Your character must have been a better sword fighter than mine, because I saw "miss" quite often.
  10. I wouldn't be against more options during character creation. Although it depends what they new faces and body-types look like. Of the ones available in KOTOR I, I think I only used 3 or 4 of them, because the others didn't look very appealing to me.
  11. why would you buy it an hour after renting it?
  12. I don't think she is. I think it's just one of the NPCs you come across dressed in a different outfit (maybe based on the world you're on).
  13. haha that's the problem. all my friends that are into this kind of game are all those stereotypical FPS nerdy types, so if I played against them I'd get my ass handed to me in no time. I think I'll just wait for the bargain bin or until one of my buddies loses interest and gives away his copy.
  14. God I hope HK isn't returning for KOTOR II.
  15. I tried seeing how this "romance" turns out, and as best as I've seen, you and Juhani agree to be "friends" up on the temple, but nothing more.
  16. I don't like online play. So if the single player campaigns aren't very good, there's no point for me to buy it.
  17. There goes any desire I had to buy Battlefront. I had playing FPS online, and if the single player part of the game is boring or short, there's no point.
  18. Actually, I think it had to do with Kun drawing on the power of the Massassi temples to amplify his own Force abilities. He didn't defeat them on his own. In a crude sense, it'd be similar to the Emperor drawing on the power of the Death Star and using its laser to blow up a planet using his own "ability".
  19. His abilities or his physical look? Kun was more of a "wizzard", in that most of his strength was his use of the Force. Maul seemed more like a "warrior", who was awesome at swordfighting and combat.
  20. And that's worth spending, what, $80+ dollars on?
  21. I hope Obsidian adds a lot more of these instances. I felt there were too few in KOTOR 1, especially during those long, boring walks through the desert on Tatooine or along the treetop walkways on Kasshyyk after you'd defeated most of the enemies.
  22. Darth Vader will always be the Man.
  23. Has anyone actually bought and viewed the DVD trilogy? What new "changes" has Georgie made now?
