I'm not sure an X-Wing series would do well. The general masses, who only know Star Wars vaguely, will probably be asking where the glowing swords and magic guys are.

Right now there are two eras that seem to be rumored more often than any others. One being the time period between RotS and ANH, and the other being a time period where Luke Skywalker is an old Jedi Master (so that Mark Hamill can resume his role at his current age) starting his new Jedi Order (not necessarily following the events of the NJO).

I'm worried about Lucas touching another Star Wars movie, but the Star Wars fan in me still wants to see more movies. However, I want them to be original movies, with very little to do with the characters and events of Episode I to VI.

Whichever was the theme music that played when Darth Vader finally grabbed on to the Emperor and hoisted him over the railing into the shaft. That part of the movie still gives me goosebumps each time I watch it.

No matter what they do will piss off atleast some portion of fans. Some gamers want Revan to be female, so if they make Revan male those fans will be upset. Some prefer LS, so a DS Revan would anger them. Some prefer LS, thus a DS Revan would cause backlash. The safest thing to do is do what the majority probably did, which is play through the game as a male and finish the game with the LS ending.

So who will shoot first this time?

So was Revan considered a Sith Lord, or the Dark Lord of the Sith?

Just make Revan a LS male and be done with it.

Jar Jar mutates into the Emperor. All the "released" videos are aimed to trick the public into thinking that Palpatine is the Emperor, when in fact Jar Jar is the Emperor all along.

It depends how desperate (or eager) Lucasarts is for a guaranteed seller. If Lucasarts believes they have enough projects that will generate cash for a while, chances are it will be a while before KOTOR3 is developed. If they don't have any games lined up for the next couple of Christmas periods, then KOTOR3 will likely be slated for either 2005 or 2006. btw, yes Christmas 2005 is coming quickly, but based on what we've seen, I wouldn't put it past Lucasarts to push for this date.

So that's what it was. Damn, I must say I'm a bit disappointed by this. I was hoping they would have made up something new and interesting but no. They had to draw upon the unspeakable lameness of the EU. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I seem to remember someone "official" hinting that it was, in fact, a "shout out" to the Yuuzhan Vong, I suppose as an Easter Egg for EU buffs.

I was going to agree (atleast somewhat) with your points until I got to #4 (which for some reason you called #1 again). Making KOTOR a MMORPG would have made the game 1000000 times worse than what people complain about it now. If they ever make KOTOR (or any of my favorite RPG series) into a MMORPG, I can say with 100% certainty that I would NEVER play the game. Ever.

With Obsidian working on a third title that is not a sequel, that pretty much counts KOTOR3 out as a possibility. And I don't think Bioware has intentions of touching the KOTOR franchise again. So that leaves us with what? Either a new developer who has no ties or working knowledge (thus far) of the storyline, or no resolution at all.

Didn't you dislike Bioware's work too, especially about how they "ruined" the Bastila character? " I vote for either Bioware or Obsidian, as long as whichever gets it, gets ample time to develop it to completeness.

Someone at Lucasfilms either has a wicked sense of humor, or that was a rather weird coincidence that they named him that after the artist designed his appearance.

What is with a lot of people's interest in a Post-Apocolyptic setting? That's not meant in a rude or sarcastic tone, I'm just not very familiar with the setting or why people seem to think it would be such a great setting for a cRPG.

Isn't this the series with the funny looking cartoon characters? The Jedi that looks like Scooby Doo's partner in crime, Shaggy?
