So far it sounds to me more like what an expansion pack (although large) on the PC would be rather than an all new game. I was hoping for a newer engine that looks better or a different interface or rules implementation. I am sure it will still be good though but sounds like a game that can be made more cheaply than the original one was made for.

Considering their were only two of them and the storyline in both seemed pretty different to me I don't agree. Besides, KOTOR wasn't better than BG2 and I doubt KOTOR2 will be. As time went on, BioWare's ability to create more marketable games that sell more has gone up but the quality of their storylines has gone down. However, Obsidian is making KOTOR2 with the lead design of PST being the lead designer so it may be better but the use of the same game engine with no major differences in the engine or in the rules implementation has made me wary.

Actually if I recall correctly, that wasn't really Visceris. That was someone masquerading and posting as he thought Visceris would post. The real Visceris is known as Hades One on this forum. So I take any of those earlier posts by "Visceris" with a grain of salt.

I don't think so but maybe when the game is actually released and the number of posts goes up at that time.

I was Light Side in KOTOR but in the sequel Revan should be Dark Side. In fact he should be partly responsible for the current situation with the Jedi in KOTOR2.

Larger sizes have been asked for the beginning but nothing has changed yet. Small size but large file size.

I was under the impression that the tattoos were a Zabrak trait and not a Sith trait. Customization would be nice though anyway.

There should always be a cap. What need would there be for no cap if the game is finite? Besides, eventually you will run out of feats and force powers and class abilities you can get since the developers would only be able to implement so many in the timeframe they have.

Do the prestige classes work as in D20 game system? For instance, you can only take up to level 10 of the prestige class until your combined levels are higher than 20. Also, what is the maximum combined level allowed?

Yes that would be a good idea although well modded forums would make the need for it less.

They really do need more skills. I hope this game doesn't come across as just seeming like a very good mod or an expansion pack, as in it does change some of the game mechanics and engine and improves them.

Yes that is unlikely. I admit that the questions posed to you during the game for determining the first game's outcome is an interesting concept. Like how you respond will make Revan male or female for instance I imagine. Now if only Obsidian would chime in on KOTOR2.

No. SPECIAL refers to the combat system as well. There definately need to be modifications to the rules to change TB to RT. Besides, most of the skills are combat related anyway.

Actually, Knights of the Old Republic was originally a book before it was the name of a comic book series. That's why KOTOR2 should be Dark Lords of the Sith. The second book in the original Tales of the Jedi series.

I have only wanted Interplay to die for about the last year or so. Ever since they screwed up Black Isle again and cancelled Jefferson which is also when the final big exodus started to begin from Black Isle with Feargus, Avellone, etc.

They started development on FOBOS2 before the first one was even out of the gates. I think they split the first game into two.

Which doesn't mean much if they just took it from the other or had the same source.

Dumb name and I hope that site doesn't have it 100% correct. My suggestion for the sequel is to call it "Dark Lords of the Sith". You see Knights of the Old Republic wasn't an original name when BioWare chose it. It was taken from a novel (that did take place thousands of years ago I think) called "Tales of the Jedi: Knights of the Old Republic". No similarity story line though and the book came out a few years back. Since the second book in that series was called "Dark Lords of the Sith" I think KOTOR2 should take that title.
