Perhaps this time there are different shades of red? The purple ones were also used by some Sith, no? Correct me if I'm wrong.

I've seen some online ads, but that's about it. I think KotOR2 deserves more attention than this, it's likely to be even better than the first. However, it got FAR more advertising than Half-Life 2. Half-Life had little to no ads leading up to approach, running purely on word of mouth. Whether this was a mistake on Vivendi's part we have yet to see. I hope KotOR2 does well.

Will there be TV spots/commercials
TSAdmiral replied to mace mandu's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
That description is largely accurate. They later showed scenes of Malak doing a flurry I think. On who I forget, but Malak is in there for sure. Bastila may have been there. I seem to recall they used that torture chamber? -
I would say most would instinctively choose light side male as that is the most typical plot arc. That's what I did in the first. Others interested in a more different approach would probably choose dark side. I didn't notice much of a difference between male and female in the original, I hope there's a larger difference this time around.

About taking on a Jedi Apprentice
TSAdmiral replied to SmkJaguar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I wouldn't judge Kreia so quickly since I haven't seen her character in the game. However, Carth was relatively annoying. Kreia seems to be a wiser teacher type of fellow. If she's anything like Jolee, that'll be great. But something tells me she'll be similar to Vandar. Still, I don't think she'll be annoying and her bonuses seem pretty good. -
Probably the one thing I'm forward to seeing the most is the original locations and characters. I'm most interested in the story and what has happened since the end of the original. Indeed I do hope they kept some of the original Dantooine map, I would definitely be interested in seeing that star map temple. Perphaps the star map is the only thing left standing?

So far as I know there are no customizable robes. There are some robes that will have hoods up by default and some that won't. Stats are likely predetermined. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The Official Akari Thank You Thread
TSAdmiral replied to jaguars4ever's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Indeed, thanks Akari. You have made the long wait slightly easier to bear! Much appreciated! -
The Lucasarts site profiles T3 has someone with a "grand story to tell" and a droid with a pivotal role to come. If you ask me, that is literally screaming Revan. As for his usefulness, it would be more useful IF the bench from the Ebon Hawk was removed in and replaced by T3. As for his actual combat capabilities, he needs better ones than the ones we got the last time around. Kreia sounds like a formidable ally and unlikely to be replaced by T3.

It does sound like Judi Dench now that I think about it. As for Sion, he sounds similar to Malak as well. Again, without the noticeable quiver. He sounds more... "badass" than Malak though.

It is confirmed to be THE Mandalore. But I thought Canderous said Revan killed Mandalore? Or did he say he "defeated" Mandalore?
-
Agreed. Supposedly he has a greater role. As well, I'm most interested in seeing if he has anything to do with Revan. I heard he's gonna be with HK-47 often too. Whether it is the same HK we know is another matter.

Feedback on Official KotOR2 site
TSAdmiral replied to SmkJaguar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Interesting, blood usually gets associated with Mature ratings. Perhaps they added it in, but lightened the visual impact? I doubt we'll see it often though, considering that most of the time combat will involve lightsabers. -
Handmaiden and her are definitely the same character. But whether or not she is Atris is a different story. I doubt that she is Atris however. If Atris were to go dark, it is hinted in the motif she would become the MSG and not Marr. However, it is shown in a previous wallpaper that the MSG (is it confirmed Nihilus is his name?) has "man hands."

Feedback on Official KotOR2 site
TSAdmiral replied to SmkJaguar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Indeed, it is directly stated Sion leads a band of assassins. Whether or not he is the Sith Lord with an assassin prestiege class specialty is another matter, given the fact that it is also stated he has superhuman vitality. Logically, since he leads assassins it only makes sense for him to be one as well. As for the MSG (is it confirmed Nihilus is his name?), it is hinted that he is a Sith Maurader from completing the dark side options. Doing the light side options would reward you with Atris as a Jedi Master. -
No Atris In Offical Site Character Section
TSAdmiral replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
If anything, a dark side Atris would look like the MSG. I doubt she would turn out like Visas Marr. Something tells me they are separate characters. -
Indeed, good arguments guys. The amount of analysis into the given information and thoughtful speculation is amazing, and I commend you for your devotion. Although my plot theory is no where near as detailed as yours, I still wish to share it though. I am of the belief that Revan would be a noticeable presence in the game, if not an important one. I find it TERRIBLY convenient that one of Revan's former soldiers would wake up in a mysterious mining station containing Revan's (former? Perhaps he still secretly owns it and intends only to let you keep it for the time being as he watches you) ship. Coincidentally, Revan's assassin driod created specifically by him as an elite right hand alongside his chosen utility droid. Makes you wonder why there's so much story elements screaming "Revan" as you begin. I feel that Kreia has some sort of connection to Revan. Perhaps he chose her to train you initially. This is my theory on Revan's involvement. On the light side, when you beat Malak, he asked "What if our situations were switched? What if I lost my memory? Would things turn out the way things are?" I believe that Revan was confounded by this question. So, pondering this question, he arranges plans to have his next closest ally make the same choice--YOU. You are indeed the last remaining known Jedi, the last Jedi that has yet to make this choice. Perhaps he wants to see, given the similar circumstances that he and Malak encountered, what choice you would make. You (the PC) would not know that the ship and droids were owned by Revan. You (the player) however WOULD probably suspect that Revan is involved somehow. Later on, Revan will probably show himself, after you have made the decision and perhaps adopt you as apprentice. THIS may be the master/apprentice relationship. As for the dark side, I think the story arc still works. He will want to see if you turn dark side and perhaps together as his right hand you can help Revan usurp the other Sith Lords that have threatened his top position. This AGAIN may probably turn into the dark side master/apprentice relationship. I believe that this is Malak's legacy in the sequel.

Perhaps the drone is the pet. As well, the silver guy looks better. However, I'm interested in more than just screenshots. The diary was nice and all, but we learned virtually nothing new as to the game itself.

I just had an interesting yet twisted idea......

"There is a 98.99999% chance that I will own your light-sided human rear-end." Definitely, I love to hear that track over and over. Yasonori Mitsuda did an excellent job with the London Philharmonic. Very creepy theme, and well done. Yuki Kajiura was also great in Xenosaga II. In fact, I'm listening to the tunes right now. -
"Face me Jedi...." "My master has trained me well...." "I smell you Jedi..." "Bet you can't stick it."

Xenosaga featured a great story and characters. If anyone is interested in finding out more about, I guess IGN's review would be as good as any to start. http://ps2.ign.com/articles/387/387085p1.html Trying to explain any single character in a nutshell will be difficult, if not impossible. Albedo and Margulis are certainly some of the more interesting villians I have seen. The story features lots of religious/philosophical references. Some players find the allusions disloyal, I find them perfectly adequate. For the doubters, future games in the series will likely explain their suspicions. To simplify things, Albedo is essentially a crazy psychotic villian with enormous power and ideals. Pretty hedonistic, some can interpret. More interesting to consider, for those who played Xenosaga, is a Sith Lady like KOS-MOS -
"Lord Malak was most displeased that you escaped him."

I have yet to pickup the DVDs and this sounds like another dumb change Lucas made. What purpose does it really have? He hasn't made his green one yet, but it's green in A New Hope?
