  1. She looks awfully similar to Padme from Episode I. I don't think she is an apprentice. If anything, I think you will end up as Revan's apprentice.
  2. If they wanted to go somewhere mostly original, I would wager a female Sith. We wouldn't expect it, certainly with Sion and the MSG on the loose.
  3. Double-bladed. Looks and performance all in one.
  4. It's a Sith for sure. Whether or not it's your typical everyday grunt is another matter. Either that's the new grunt uniform, or he's higher up the ranks. I do not believe he is a Sith Lord, as he seems way too... sloppy and cheesy to look like one.
  5. Double-bladed lightsaber. No more needs to be said.
  6. Which btw is dark side. Someone refresh me on the light side powers again?
  7. It's either Chris or Lucas, I can't tell. But it's definitely one of them, the beady eyes give it away. Otherwise, if I'm wrong I would wager it's a new Sith character with secrets to hide.
  8. Historically from KotOR, dark side powers have proven to be more useful. It seems that, once again, dark siders get their heavy artillery. Force crush and force scream anyone? Sounds like plenty of killing left and right. In fact, I don't remember hearing about LIGHT side powers at all.
  9. My interest on Atris has grown over the months. Perhaps it is time someone revealed who she is.
  10. Almost everyone wants to be a master. It would for me be a more unique experience if the player was the apprentice. Bastila definitely wasn't much of a master. More like an annoying reminder. However, having your former PC Revan be master would be very interesting. I would like to see what he thinks of Malak now that he has 5 years to think back on it, if Malak is even mentioned. He should if you ask me.
  11. It's a lot more fun experiencing a movie or game rather than to simply watch or play it. The sound makes a massive difference. If I had to sacrifice either sound or video, I would choose the video first.
  12. Indeed, good arguments guys. I am of the belief that Revan would be a noticeable presence in the game, if not an important one. I find it TERRIBLY convenient that one of Revan's former soldiers would wake up in a mysterious mining station containing Revan's (former? Perhaps he still secretly owns it and intends only to let you keep it for the time being as he watches you). Coincidentally, Revan's assassin driod created specifically by him as an elite right hand alongside his chosen utility droid. Makes you wonder why there's so much story elements screaming REVAN as you begin. This is my theory on Revan's involvement. On the light side, when you beat Malak, he asked "What if our situations were switched? What if I lost my memory? Would things turn out the way things are?" I believe that Revan was confounded by this question. So, pondering this question, he arranges plans to have his next closest ally make the same choice--YOU. You are indeed the last remaining known Jedi, the last Jedi that has yet to amek this choice. Perhaps he wants to see, given the similar circumstances that he and Malak encountered, what choice you would make. You (the PC) would not know that the ship and driods were owned by Revan. You (the player) however WOULD probably suspect that Revan is involved somehow. Later on, Revan will probably show himself, after you have made the decision and perhaps adobt you as apprentice. THIS may be the master/apprentice relationship. As for the dark side, I think the story arc still works. He will want to see if you turn dark side and perhaps together as his right hand you can help Revan usurp the other Sith Lords that have threatened his top position. This AGAIN may probably turn into the dark side master/apprentice relationship. I believe that this is Malak's legacy in the sequel.
  13. My living room is equiped with a 51" Sony rear projection TV. My sound goes through my 600 watt Yamaha receiver. It sports a surprising amount of DSP sound effects and other features, pretty nifty sometimes. My speakers themselves are the Klipsch Quintet IIs and the Klipsch 10" subwoofer. They aren't the best, but for my room size and tastes they offer some pretty beautiful dynamic sound. I'm not a hardcore bass fan, although I certainly can pump it, prefer to listen to the very nice treble the horns produce. Some call it bright, but I love it.
  14. Half the reason I suspect LA's "adjusted" release schedule is to try to get more Xbox sales as well. There is no way in heck I'm gonna get an Xbox. I will wait for the PC release, although they now make it seem like some afterthought. Leaves somewhat of a distaste in my mouth, and I will not fall for their antics. Buying an Xbox is precisely what LA want's us to do.
  15. It is known that Atton Rand will ask Revan's gender. Any more specifics, if there are, remains unknown.
  16. Those seem very viable. Obsidian may actually go for one of those. That is, unless he's of a more stealthy approach in dealing with you and your party.
  17. Indeed, the best way to get the message across is to pull preorders. That will definitely drop some immediate cash flow and prick up some eyebrows. Although this may not change the outcome, the point is to get the message across and ensure the consumers and fan base are not used or disrespected again.
  18. True, no lawsuit would work against Lucasarts. This doesn't mean they didn't waylay us or deceive us. I don't understand why they didn't specifically say "The PC version has fallen behind." That's all that was required. Everyone here has had a drought in game updates/press releases for a good long month or two. Yet two weeks beforehand, none of the devs ever mentioned anything about the PC version until... well this debacle.
  19. Winter 2004 extends to 2005... seriously, I think that's a pretty stupid statement. I'm not saying that statement is technically wrong. It isn't. But this is a trailer for a game with the intended purpose to MARKET the game. The trailer is trying to PUBLICIZE the game so consumers will BUY the game. Really, would the consumer think the release date would be a FISCAL quarter? Shouldn't a logical date be clearly displayed to tell the user WHEN the game comes out? Must the consumer think in fiscal quarters for a release date? When's the last time you guys think in fiscal quarters to buy a game? That is just plain illogical. What you DO find at the end of the trailer, is that the Xbox and PC symbols are right next to each other. With the big yellow words "Winter 2004" plastered right next to it of course. Doesn't that imply something?
  20. It has already been stated before that the PC will have nothing that distinguishes it from the Xbox other than the option to run at higher resolutions. I remember the first ever press release (game announcement) they said that the two versions will have items and stuff that the other won't. Essentially there was supposed to be items that PC users get that Xbox users won't and vice versa. But since Xbox users get downloadable content, it makes me wonder if we got shafted in the long run.
  21. Malak had some truly awesome parrying and moves. Very brutal attacks and animations, that should be in.
  22. Sooner or later, a dev would have to comment sometimes on some topic on this message board. As everyone has been stating before, it's not the two months, its the stringing along we felt. I think it would help everyone settle down if a dev were to simply give an honest explanation.
  23. I got that feeling as well. Its sorta like what remains after the dust settles.
  24. It is interesting that today, I have NEVER before seen so many green names in the user section. No one is replying however. Which is precisely what I suspected. Obsidian is not to blame, it's the corporate power game. However it would be wise for them not to post for the meantime, otherwise they would risk starting an inferno.
  25. Indeed. I want an official explanation. Perhaps withdrawing pre-orders would be a good jolt to them to remind Lucasarts who we are: the buyers. I would like an explanation and apology.
