I would LOVE to hear HK-47s first conversation with me. In fact, that is probably going to be slightly less anitcipated than meeting the new characters.
HK: Are you Revan's former assisstant?
PC: Yes.
HK: It is time. I have been ordered by my master to protect you. You will one day lead the remaining Jedi survivors to victory against SithNet.
PC: So you're not here to kill me?
HK: No. My mission is to protect you. But first I need some clothes and a motorcycle. I'll be back.
Who I blame will not change the reality. And from a business standpoint, no side, Obsidian, Lucasarts, or Microsoft will come out and say why the PC version has been delayed.
The PC version will get nothing the Xbox version won't have. There is essentially no difference between them, besides the longer release date and the higher resolutions.
I have heard from the very first press release ever that both versions will get stuff unique to that version. Lucasarts better ensure the PC version gets their due in items, especially after their year-long lie.
Agreed. Actually, never before have I seen so many green names on at one time. We must be flooding the forums. And they are definitely wise in keeping their heads down, as with all this crossfire, people would likely immediately point their fingers at them.
Volourn's posts make serve no other purpose than to flame others. Most of us voice legit complaints and concerns. GhostofAnakin is definitely correct. Why did you call him a cryer, I did not see a single one of his posts voicing the type of immaturity you are accusing us of. Nor do we "Wwwaahhhhh" like you perceive us, sorry to dissappoint you.
It makes me wonder if Xbox owners boasting about their early release advantage is any better than PC gamer complaining about it.
Seriously, did you expect us to be happy about this news? Not all of us are here to bash on Xbox, some of us are simply expressing distaste at Lucasarts.
What pissed me off the most is not so much the release date, but the blatant lie Lucastarts has been deceiving us with for the last year or so. I will wait for KotOR2, but I do not appreicate the actions Lucasarts have taken.
However the article strongly implies that it IS indeed THE HK-47. It does not imply that its a similar droid. Although given past information, I can see why there could be confusion. However, I do hope it is the character that we all know and love.
Half the fun for me would be to revisit old locales and characters. The first game left and impression on me and I would love to see familiar sites and people.
Agreed. He may be the most publicized and it is known there are other characters. I'm most interested in his personality and his background.
This has been a great preview, the anticipation is now building up.
Revan: You can't kill him.
HK: Why not?
Revan: You just can't.
*HK shoots the Sith in the leg*
Sith: Oh my god, you just shot me!
Revan: Why'd you shoot him!?
HK: ....He'll live. I did not the damage the meat surrounding the bag.
The new official release date will be posted soon within the coming weeks. Assuming they are currently done with the game, which they are, and they have several months to beta test it for bugs, I would say the December date is realistic.
I say that all the classes, no matter the combination, are equally competent. Their approaches are merely different. However, most would consider the sentinel "gimped."
