Jag, thats not true. I have a P4 3.2 gig system with 512 meg ram (ya ya I know I should be at a gig min) and 512 meg video card. Yet I prefer my "OFFLINE" RPGs to be on my Xbox. The main reason is (as said in PC forum) My TV is much larger then my pc monitor, my sofa much more comfortable then my computer chair, and coffee machine closer! hehe But seriously, XBox is nice, just plug in the disk and play! No messing around with settings and options, no cleaning the mouse after certain amount of use, no defraging and all that junk after installing. Just true plug and play! Now thats for Offline RPGs and sports games. Games like Civilization still PC only IMO (is civ even made for counsel games?). MMORPGs are DEFINATELY PC only area (god I hated FFXI with those PS2 players) Point is, I have the hardware to run any of these programs on my computer, just some games more suited to the xbox style. KotOR series just happens to be one of them <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, come on! Don't bring the "comfy sofa" argument into it....it can easily be countered with the "comfy chair". Seriously, have you seen the leather cushioned computer chairs with back support and thermal massage vibrators that you can get these days? And besides, you really, really need to upgrade to a gig.

The answer is, if you don't have the XBOX version already, then don't bother getting it now - just wait for the PC release. (I have the XBOX version btw, and I intend to buy the PC version as well.)

If both hardware options and titles were available to you at the same time, no one would choose the XBOX version over the PC. People only buy the XBOX title either because the PC variation isn't available, or because they currently do not possess the requisite PC hardware capabilites. This really isn't a "What should I wear/feeling in the mood for?" type choice.

For the most part, console game that ported over to the PC usually always score worse with the reviews. Incidently, in light of the recent NWN2 fora 'transition', Drakron's sig has never been more accurate. "

*shudders* 'Rebellion' aka 'Supremacy' has to be one of the worst Star Wars games ever...with the exception of 'Yoda Stories' of course.

Therein lies the problem - you lack a frame of reference. Anyone who's played through more than once will recognize the quest/bug related inconsistancies which you fail to see. Additionally, you most likely lack the perception to "what everyone was complaining about" if you failed to notice to game mechanics errors. Were you even aware that many of the feats/force powers were bugged and failed to work properly? Perhaps the majority of us aren't wrong and you're merely rambling the viewpoint of naive, casual, ubiquitous gamer. Glad you enjoyed it though.

How can you place Manaan over Dantooine? I couldn't stand those fish staring at me and telling me to follow their stupid laws. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There was plenty to do on Manann, and it had a different feel than the other planets. Observing the Sith and Republic co-existing had it's facinating touches as well. Then the pace completely shifted from a calm, surreal surface to the intensity of the underwater station. As for the 'fish' themselves, they were the best modeled aliens in the whole game. Dantooine on the other hand was relatively boring.

Just visit the store or ask your local retailer to put it on hold for you. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Pre-order should in theory make it possible to get the game in your mail the same date it's released in retail. In reality however, it's diffirent. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly, there is no point in pre-ordering a hot title because chances are it will be 1 - 3 days before they even ship it. I pre-ordered HW2 and it arrived 4 days after the game was released. If I had just visited EB Games, I could have gotten it on the same day because they had 3 shipments of it coming in that day. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, but the Post Office opens earlier than retail shops. ^_^
