Powers and abilites that stem from the Force do not make a Jedi....or a Sith. The capacity for good or evil, albeit dormant, remains present in the souls of all sentients. Despite being cut off from the Force, Ulic Qel Droma still 'disappeared' to become one with the Force - a phenomenon reserved for only true Jedi Masters. Though he no longer had Force powers, he truly understood the nature of the force; and more importantly, possesed the HEART of a Jedi. :cool:

Charisma also helps get more conversation options (in adjunction with persuation) if I remember correctly I always tried to have a 16-18 charisma myself <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, and it also helps tug your party members closer to your alignment.

The reduced Force Powe opposed alignment cost is pre-factored in; it doesn't show up on the force powerr cost calculations or the 'adjusted' force power chart under the power tab. But it is there and active. As for the party member NPC BaB bonus: That only shows up in their attack ombat feedback calculations, not on their stat 'to hit' screen.

I'd be a little suprised if they pulled that trick at this stage of the game, but it wouldn't really irk me.

You could have used that cryogenic power cell to repair Fassa's broken pylon's, but I wouldn't recommend wasting it, as computer spikes & computer skill can do the trick. What the power cell is immensely useful for is, like you said, reparing the airspeeder. Not only do you get a huge amount of XP from reparing the bike, but there is also influence opportunities forboth Atton and Bao-Dur. As an added bonus, you get to use it to travel around Nar Shadaa.

If you praise him on his mechanical prowess on 'technical quests', you can gain influence. i.e repairing the swoop bike on Nar Shadaa or finding the hidden contents of the atmospherical sensors on Dantooine etc. Also, as someone previously mentioned, acts of charity and benevolence will aid in influence gain.
