  1. Fair enough, but what about the commercial success?
  2. Wow...this I did not know. Oh, be a good vault-dweller now, and return Tandi to her father.
  3. Obsidian's not currently developing KotOR III....apparently.
  4. I know one of the Gammorean axes has a -5 to hit penalty.
  5. Just because the reviews don't mention them, doesn't mean they're not there. Here's a thread outlining bugs/glithces which is probably longer than most TSL reviews - and this is just ONE thread of out dozens : http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=26928
  6. Ramza, dude, that was a classic!
  7. i think troikas problem (or a small part of it) was the reputation they earned for making buggy games. perhaps they should have spent more time making a stable game and less time trying to do out-of-this-world things with their games. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mmm, nah - it's the licencing. Obsidian's first game was arguably as buggy if not more than any of Troika's games. But the reason TSL was a success whilst Troika's games tanked was all because of the licencing.
  8. id probably play more mmorpgs if they actually had decent ones out there. the idea, in of itself, about playing a game with others online is a good one. the problem is the games usually fall well short of actually achieving any kind of success in terms of entertainment value for those of us who dont just want to go around killing things aimlessly. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's why I like NWN - you can actually play through a campaign co-operatively.
  9. Looks like I won't be buying their latest Vampire game afterall... "
  10. That's assuming people who play MMO's HAVE a life. ^_^
  11. Your party members have the same experience, and thus achieve the same level as you do. Therfore, to prevent them from surpassing level 20, simply cease leveling them up after 20. Do note however, that you need to be at least level 15 to obtain a prestige class. Also, holding off levels could offset certain party member banters/interactions. I know that lack of game balance sucks Zach, but so does metagaming.
  12. I see...
  13. This thing's like 40+ mins, Kaz. Could you by any chance indicate the minute region please?
  14. That's the one. Now I'm wondering if whatever designer came up with the fate of the Echani was inspired by that item description, or if it's just a freak coincidence.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well it turns out they were inspired by that item description after all - as Yusanis (the famous Ecani warrior/general/senator who died at the hands of Darth Revan), turns out to be ! (w00t)
  15. In which case you're poised to see Bastila. Be patient and play it out. If you have a high influence and high comp and repair skills, you can also see an LS Bastila message in T3. The next time you play the game with Revan as a DS male, you'll see a different DS Bastila message in T3, though you won't see her in game. You will however, find another Bastila recording in a Sith Holocron. Hope this helps.
  16. Should work fine with ATI cards. So far we've been able to fix any ATI-Specific issues that have been found by either fixing the engine or helping ATI fix the problem in their drivers. Using the latest ATI drivers when KotOR2 comes out will be important, as some changes to their drivers over the last six months were in direct response to issues found in KotOR2. -Akari http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?sh...pic=26850&st=15
  17. Have your turned on frame buffer effects yet? That's responsible for the per pixel flares, noise and speed blurs.
  18. There were a few long battles, but no really tough battles on 'difficult'.
  19. Hold on to your beliefs KotorianRuler - for belief alone can reshape the Planes and unmake the Multiverse. ^_^ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ?????? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Your confusion is natural KotorianRuler. The first thing you must do is find Pharod and locate your missing journal. Oh, and don't trust the skull. ^_^ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> lol even more confused then before now ??? I dont know what to do any more... I feel like Obi-wan Kenobi " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don't worry about it KotorianRuler. The references are just from a game that I love almost as much as you love KotOR.

  21. That would be kickass....too bad it's just a rumor.

  23. You too, can <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Complain all you want girl, but we know you love it. ^_^
  24. i never really understood what that 'tilt' score was referring to on gamespot. i know they have an explanation for it, but of the score categories that one always kinda made me go "huh?". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well first off, I'm only speaking for myself not gamespot. But the general feeling I got from K1 just boosts its overall goodness for me - the sweet gameplay, cool graphics, perfect music & sound, and rich story just tends to sway my review rating; and makes me look past its faults. With K2 however, it's hard to get past the been-there-done-that sense of d
  25. It's probably because TSL has a very poor 'tilt value', whilst KotOR's is near perfect.
