  1. im curious, do people who are new to the site have a bookmark to just the general forum? i mean, if they go to the main forum index, its rather easy to see "SPOILERS forum" as one of the forums available, yet they post their spoiler-ish questions in general. it boggles my mind how either lazy or ignorant people are. yes, its anal, but its a pet peeve of mine. <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Be grateful we don't have too many who are both lazy and ignorant.
  2. I also must concede that if I wasn't such a Star Wars and KotOR fan, I probably wouldn't have bought K2 (given the progress inferred from following the development). That's probably why I haven't bought V:TM yet (and don't intend to for the foreseeable future). It's a lurker! Run for your lives! That would be awesome. It would do much to differentiate between genuine broken quests, and merely botched ones.
  3. You mean he didn't? ^_^
  4. 1. Please don't post duplicate topics. 2. Kindly choose the spoiler fora instead. 3. You'll now find Vrook in the 4. It is explained on GameBanshee : Finding Vrook
  5. Also, if you save Kumas on the hilltop, HK will disapprove...but you still gain influence as well as LS points. I've only tested this on the XBOX version so far, so I can't guarantee success on the PC version.
  6. Yeah, well done Volly. Your analysis is absolutely correct...albeit one minor detail - the Sith still think you're a Jedi (well acording to Kreia anyway). Wait, why the hell does Sion then call you 'Exile"? This makes no logical sense at all. This character develops at an exponential rate. Trust me. Atton does have some Comedy Gold lines in the game that are only surpassed by everyone's HK droid. " The little guy really has his moments to shine in this game. You think hes'cool now? Wait 'till later on! The 'un-uniqueness' is explained later on. Unfortunateley, they cut out the main quest pertaining to the HK's, i.e. the . <_< I'm sure you'll just dig the love-hate dominatrix thing.
  7. A little extreme don't you think? Anyway, here's a surefire sign of faulty hardware : ATI graphics cards. :D
  8. Yes, but that 'stellar quote' more than made up for it.
  9. I didn't want this to turn into a Revenge of the Sith discussion but if you followed the spoilers for EP3 which are true this is why Anakin falls to the DS in EP3: Wouldn't you say that is very similer to that of Revan? Once they accomplish what they want they will put away the DS ways, but unfortunately they both got too deeply consumed in it. Anakin fell to the DS with good intentions JUST like Revan did. But like I said, it consumed them too much and that right there makes it even more Tragic. He wanted to do good but somehow it all back-fired on him. "Once you stare down the Dark Path, forever it consumes you" Anakin didn't fall to the DS in EP2 when he killed the Sand People. It was an act of the DS yes, but he didn't fall there. It begun there just like Revan begun when he found the map on Dantioone, but he fell in EP3. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope, he fell in Ep 2. He gave into the dark side to slaughter the sandpeople. Episode 2 is the fall of anakin. That's why Yoda "heard" Qui-Gon yelling for Ani to stop through the force when Anakin torn into the Sand People. He just may not have realized how far he fell until he made the deal with the devil in the Ep 3. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Congrats! You have now just shown how dumb you are when it comes to the SW PT. View the EP2 DVD Commentary. George Lucas said it himself that what Anakin does is an ACT of the Darkside and its our first time as viewers that we get to see Anakin do something really naughty. He is still a Lightside Jedi but did something really evil. He didn't FALL in EP2. It was more of a case of forshadowing I must say. But he did NOT fall to the Darkside in EP2. Yoda just sense the tention and the evil that Anakin is doing. But he didn't FALL. Just the the Republic didn't Fall in EP2, it falls in EP3. In EP2 we see the beginning of the end of the Republic, but not the actual end of the Republic. Thats what EP3 is for. You are really making yourself look stupid. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What the hell is the matter with you friend? Tentanus has made several superb contributions to this thread - and you try to shoot him down like a flaming troll? If you disagree, be a gentleman about it and keep it civilized. At least Tent has provided sources (TotJ, etc), for his arguments instead of resorting to childish name calling.
  10. I think they chose the latter, Tyrell buddy.
  11. Incidently, how well did K2 sell?
  12. Think of Atris as a perfect example of a Dark Jedi - she's a 'Sith', and doesn't know it; she still clings to her illusions of being a Jedi Master...even as she spirals down the Dark path.
  13. Evidently not. )
  14. Damn. Guess I'll just gun for the 14 or 16, then... Mmm. Are implants that important anyway? Am planning to go WeaponMaster later on, so I thought of just throwing 14 in everything but Dex and Char at the beginning. Most likely will put the last 2 pts into charisma... *shrugs* So, what, 18 str without equip at the end of the game should do it? Or would those be a waste and rather be invested in Wiz or Con? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There's an implant for virtually everything.
  15. I don't think it's anything with my hardware, but rather something with this game because the problem only occurs with the game. I can leave my notebook on 24 hours a day and it will be fine, but a few minutes after playing KoToR 2 it will shut off. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wait, wait, wait....Go back to the part where you decided to play K2 on a laptop, and slowly re-think you're decision. ^_^
  16. I agree. The importance of the 'Last Jedi' in regards to the Sith has to do with what the Jedi stand for - the struggle of light and dark. Your character is the only Jedi who didin't go into hiding after the Jedi Civil War and who didn't join Revan after the Mandalorian Wars either. The Jedi who went into hiding ceased to be Jedi in that regard as they no longer actively battle against the Dark Side. Convolute perhaps, but it is explained. Play it a little longer, and you'll see. Yeah, Peragus was basically *yawn*. Those recordings onlyl go so far and is no substitue for an life-like intro like Taris. Even the level maps on Peragus were indistinguisable. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever for the infernal manic VP regeneration! Ugh! No challenge = No fun (at least in terms of the combat facet). Useless? Depends on your point of view. Sure, you don't really need it per say, but from a 'power-gaming' perspective, certain items can only be made with the labstation/workbench (especially due to the randomness of the loot generator) 100% with you there, Volo. The Sentinely with 14 int is simply overkill. Not only does it have the Guardian BaB from K1, but now you'll have more skills than you know what to do with. Don't waste the points raising int to 18; instead raise con to 18 so you can use the D-pachkage Implants. Yup. I suspect it's all part of a running joke to make Jedi Classes indistinguisable. <_< Acually there is - at least partially to an extent in not all the way to level 1. You see Volly, this Jedi lost his connection to the Force. We don't really know how badly these Jedi rely on the Force; they use it as a guide and ally in almost everything they do, and in almost every perception that they use. Without it, they're nothing more than a man, a woman or a child. All will be revealed. In other words, Philosophical in a very Matrix sort of way. Without a doubt. It ranged from item creation to dialogue options to opening new quests. Good stuff. Okay, this is getting too damn long, so I'll finish this later. "
  17. If you incur too much damage during a race, you're bike breaks down - thereby resulting in failure to complete the race.
  18. For lighsaber forms: Once they're activated, they stay in effect as long as you're wielding a lightsaber. Sometimes however, area transitions annoyingly reset your form. So just check on the HUD to see which form you've currently activated. Scripts (agressive, stationary, etc), work in a similar way.
  19. For K1, that's fine because Consulars only had a 0-15 BaB progrssion and the level cap was 20. But in K2, the dueling bonuses become redundant at higher levels due to equal Jedi BaB progrssion (+1 /level) this time around, and the effective removal of the level cap - due to the unattainable upper ceiling of level 50. Single saber is the way Star Wars should be...but the single saber animation just looks lame (with the exeption of Revan's scorpion saber twirl of course).
  20. Do they even make laptops that run games at all? I've never heard of them. ^_^
  21. Not much. Dual wielding is effectively twice as good. Just make sure you get at least 3rd level Two-Weapon Fighting.
  22. You mean you didn't skip school to buy and play KotoR 2?! Shame on you! And you call yourself a fan... *tsk tsk* ^_^
  23. This better not be true...
  24. The part where we never get the patch.
