No. Avernum is an overrated independent game that the Codex slobber over simply because it has (boring) turn based combat.

It's alright. If you are regular on lnline it doesn't give anything important as it's just info from any announcements including BIO Wednsdays in one package. It's also a simple (longwinded) email so it shouldn'tt ake all that much space. I barely read them. Just skim, and erase. Heh. Cureently playing (actually modding) NWN, and having fun with MVP Baseball 2005 which is now only the second game to last me over a year since I originally bought it. I was playing Hammer & Sickle; but I dunno it has sadly been a dissapointment. So much potential... Meh...

That's not exactly a major sin or completely BIO's fault except as further proof that BIo continually makes games poeople want to buy, play, and talk about even if it's not out yet. LOL

IGN is ok; but they certainly go overboard much like most 'professional' or 'nonprofessional' reviewers'. For example: I like JE. I like JE a lot. But, 99%? I think NOT. No game is worthy of 99% accoridng to me. None. Zilch. Zero. Nah. Not true. Megamania was. "Juhani was a cut lesbian romance in K1. The horror if Bioware would release such a romance." Yeah. The horror... when they actually have released lesbian romances. And, gay (man + man) romance. Even 1 man +2 woman romance. The horror. Alright.

Interesting chart. $14 mil made? For some reason I doubt it took $14 mil to make. On top of this, it had been annnounced that JE had sold 500k+ units (I presume as opposed to the numbers in the thread this is for world wide numbers which would explain the decrepancy) and that was about 6 months into release. BIO, and MS have stated quite clearly that they are satisifed with its sales, and general financial success. MS has already announced JE2 though BIO is sitll playing coy. I'll take their word over those calling those companies liars without hardcore proof. That chart, at least, if accurate, at least is semi hard numbers so I commend Mr. Draikin.

"Super Tecmo Bowl" This was a really fun game. Basically Madden before the Madden. It pretty much had everything I thoguht I wanted in a football game.

Funny enough, I haven't even played NHL 06. Though, thanks to the Rangers playing so well, I'm slowly inching back into hockey mode so who knows. <>

Even thoguh, to me, (pro) wrestling isn't a sport as far as video games go; i count them as sports games. So yeah, they count. Heck, as far as video games go, I count golf and nascar racing as sports. :D

Mine has gotta be MVP Baseball 2005. I'm on my 5th season in this game. Most sports games last me 2-3 seasons at most; but this one seems to be unending. It has its share of faults (being given errors on obvious hits as one exmaple); but overall it's awesome. This game has everything. Great options to make the experience as 'realistic' as possible including controlling power numbers, contact, stirkeout ratio, errors in the field, speed, and so on. Lots of statistics are covered, and kept tracked off. Game play is suually reaosnable. I love this game, and wanna marry it. It's quickly becoming my 2nd favorite game behind.......... a certain evil game. So, what is your favorite sports game? Or whine if you are a hateful anti sports person.

I agree. I simply think people should not care about this. Woopity do dah. They gambled. The *only* time gambling should be immoral in sports is if someone is betting against their own team and purposely loses a game. Why? Because, that's fialing to do their job sin ce your job as an athlete/coach is to to try win. Otherwise, I don't give one iotta that someone bet on sports. Heck, most everyone I know bets on something and NOBODY gets hurt. Unless vioence is involved (like the mob being involved and htreatening to break legs) than the law should come down hard on those using violence.

Obviously, him writing a book will not be a danger in killing someone. As for not being able to eat what he wants; that's simply a by product of being in prison and having to have a cook to do a mass cook for all the prisoners. It's not like they really mass cook steak everyday.

"Gromnir brings up some really good points." Except for the fact that with Troika, their publishers no longer wanted to actually work with them more. Remember, Troika wanted to do an Arcanum ; but the publisher didn't want any part of it. Troika had repeated stated they would LOVE to more stuff with TOEE (eitehr epxansions or sequels); but Atari was apparantly not interested. In BIO's case, MS has no problems working with them again. Afterall, MS is ME's publisher as well.. I doubt that MS would want to work with BIO again if JE financially failed. Not to mention the fact that even though BIO hasn't, MS has already 'announced' JE2. So, comparing BIO and Troika in this instance is rather poor.
