  1. Yes, exactly...The Exile would not have been affected at all by Traya/Kreia's death, in fact, it would have FREED him/her, to be LS *OR* DS. Remember how Mara was after Palpidious was killed? Well, that MAY be the worst that could happen to the Exile, assuming anything would happen to the Exile at all.
  2. Ok, I just found out something when I was looking at my swplayer.ini file... There are SERVER option settings in there!! That means there may be the capability for multiplayer, hidden within the game's code somewhere... There is even a message of the day setting too...I think there is more than meets the eye with swplayer.ini...Very interesting....Naturally I would try to make a mod to allow co-op multiplayer, provided it's a part of the engine's code...But I doubt that an INI file would have those setting options if there wasn't the potential for multiplayer in the engine... Very interesting...Wonder if I'll get an answer from Obsidian on this...
  3. Ah ah ah! It's *NOT* your former ship!! :D It's REVAN'S SHIP, *NOT* the Exile's...Be more clear and concsise when you make such statements
  4. Quests-wise...I think they could have been more extensive, far more extensive...When Lorso simply finished with the Exchange, I felt bored because there simply was not enough killing and creeeedits to go around. Telos's quests...UGH! They were WAYYYY too linear once you hit the planet's surface! I mean, there are two, big, shiny doors in the base level that are locked!! WTF is with THAT? Why did they even leave those doors there if they cut the sub-level out because of the HK-50/Droids thing?! Those doors should have been WALLS! Don't even get me started on the Peragus quests...Talk about LINEAR...Even Taris was less linear than Peragus was! I think I'll be re-doing the quests a little when I do my mod...I really dislike the entirely-too-linear nature of the starting quests...K1 had more extensive gameplay all-around! K1 took me four days to finish the first time I played, and K2 took me one night! I was like "WTF?!" when I finished K2 so fast.. Granted, my complete mastery of K1 would doubtlessly made K2 a total breeze, but I can't even beat K1 in less than 2 days, even when I rush through it. K2 I can finish within 8 hours, hands-down. That just shows the linear nature of K2, and the depth-less nature of the quests in the game. Taris lasts 4 hours, Peragus/Telos lasts 2 hours...At least for me. That just shows how un-complex K2 is compared to K1. Of course, with enough modding, I can fix K2, and I will once I finish with X-Wing Alliance. I promise that. When it comes to SW and modding the franchise's games, I never give up, even if things seem impossible to mod, I keep going. SW game modding became my life after the LSF fell 7 years ago. I'm even working on this stuff while I am at work (Heh...Having a rock-stable network gives me a lot of empty time as an admin ), so... I hope I can go to Cali and get my game design degree soon, within the next 2 years...I've been in college for 5 years now, getting my network admin degree, but I don't like being an admin, not nearly as much as I love designing games, so I'm going to try to change my career, hopefully working with SW games... The one company I will never have anything to do with: Electronic Arts...Those clowns suck even worse than Lucasfarts does right now, if you think Lucasfarts and their console/prequel game obsessions are bad, just take a look at how addicted EA is to those type of crap games I tried modding Battle For Middle-Earth, and I made some huge success, but EA never released an actual patch for the game to fix the de-functional code of the game...Kinda like what LA is doing to Obsidian and K2 right now...Sigh... I won't give up on an SW game like this, but if this were any other franchise, I would have left this game alone a long time ago...Not with the nearly de-functional nature of K2... When I see a patch coming soon note from the developer, and the publisher withholds the patch against the developers wishes, well, that tells me all I need to know about the game's future, which won't be a happy future...
  5. *Watches as Mira meticulously slaughters the last girl from Illegally Blonde* :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Rather than looking forward to seeing Mira's outfit reused, I look forward to seeing someone redo Mira's outfit itself in favour something more sensible and less repugnant to all fashion sense. I don't really have a place in my heart for the "slutty '80s trailer trash" look as it is. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> DON'T SAY A MAD-NOTE ABOUT THE TIIIIME, YO!! :D You got somethin' to say 'bout the 80's, boy?? ****! My life with computers started in the 80's, and it's been an addiction ever since, so don't come off here sayin' **** 'bout the 80's! If it wasn't for the 80's, PC gaming may not even be where it is today, and most of us 20-30's wouldn't even be here right now! While I loved the 90's more than I ever do the 21st right now, I think, once we get a Democrat back in office, that things in the world will begin to calm down and stabilize a little bit...Like they were back when Slick Willy was in charge The 80's sucked because of Regan and Bush, but not as much as the 21st sucks right now with Shrubby in office, warmongering across the world for the sake of oil and money....I don't even drive anymore, I moved to a house about a mile away from work a year ago because I knew what would happen to gas prices....Bush is slowly ruining the US and the rest of the world, and short of outright assasination overseas, I don't think there's anything that can stop him, short of Impeachment, which is likely to happen if Bush keeps ruining everything, even his own party is getting tired of his crap...Sigh! <_< Sorry for that rant, but damnit, NEVER bash the TIIIME when I am present! Hell, we wouldn't even be making fun of SW now if it wasn't for Spaceballs in the 80's!! Hell, we wouldn't even have SW if it wasn't for the 80's! So stop bashin' the TIIIME, YO! :D EDIT: We would not even have hardcore rock/rap if it wasn't for the 80's either! Stop bashin' the TIIIME, or I'll have my wee bitch Vada come and crush your windpipe!!
  6. Pah! I say they are ALL bad. Taris had graphical flaws throughout the entire map(s) that caused the framerate to crawl at several points, where the framerate would be silky smooth in other areas. Peragus was even worse, especially right after you got off the elevator to the fuel depot from the mining tunnels...That area is SO messed up graphically that I was crawling at 5-12 FPS for much of the level...It did stop by the time I reached the Tech Officer's console room, but from the elevator to the engineering console, the entire thing was a slideshow... Yet, Dant runs perfectly...It has nothin' to do with my settings or my hardware, it has everything to do with model and/or texture mishaps in the level-design, which can and BETTER be fixed with the patch (assuming we ever see one, damn you Lucasfarts!! )... If it wasn't for the total slideshows at certain points with Peragus, I would not mind it so much, as it DOES give you a ton of items that become critical if you duel with Vrook first (mainly selling them off to make creeeedits to buy thermals)... Telos was ok...Ran as silky as Dantooine did...Same terrain, for the most part, and Telos was fun for me...I loved doing everything DS and screwing Grenn...I even made a mod two days ago to allow me to slaughter Grenn (The game will crash afterwords, heh...) if I wanted to :D Here's the way you manage to buy those early thermals for Vrook: Get the creeedits from the bad Duros, and from Jana Lorso, between them I got something like 12,000 credits, when combined with selling off all the extra crap you get at Peragus and so on.. I almost never use upgrades until I get my saber, the first upgrade is the Bio underlay for con and regen, the second, if I can, is one or two middle-tier non-ion saber upgrades...The only way I could survive Vrook's first attack and manage to hold out until I could get behind that left tree to heal again was by having a very high CON (I had 18 by the time I fought him at level 12, which also set me up for a Universal D-Pack by the time I faced my second "Master" at level 18 or so)... I always give CON to all my allies until they hit 18, the reason? There are two D-Packs: Universal, and Immortality...Those two are VERY useful, Immortality is INSANELY useful on people with low feats like Kreia and Atton, and Universal makes you and the carpet virtually unstoppable when you combine it with other equipment. Heh, having Master Toughness and +4 CON pretty much takes care of the low-health, low-feat people, mainly Kreia...I remember using her throughout the ENTIRE game once...People say single saber blows, but when you have enough HP on Kreia, and Master Tough, she is a wrecking machine, the only way she ever got stopped was by mass nades or devastating mines, which she almost never got hit with anyway..Silly AI Kreia's EXP bonuses and her innate Storm/Death Field spamming, combined with yours and another Jedi of your choosing, will outright vaporize just about every enemy you ever face. Pah...Ok, I've spammed this post enough now I think Sorry for the rant, but I had to say my bit
  7. Pah! I still vote for the option that the Handmaidens did more than "Attend" her some nights, buwhahahahaha I still say she's the most stuck-up broad with a fake crumpet voice since Bastardilla.... "
  8. *Watches as Mira meticulously slaughters the last girl from Illegally Blonde* :D
  9. Hehe...I vote Mira...Of course....Time to finish my little Shrine next to my desk :D
  10. Like, WTF dude? You cannot avoid Yuthura if you played KOTOR 1! She is the person who tries to con you into betraying Sith "Master" Uthar Wynn :D Of course, I persuade her into telling me her history, then I slaughter them both in the tomb, pwuahahahaha <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, now I remember her. I sent her back to the Light Side, and I gained very much light side points for it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nah, a *REAL* Master from the Mandalorian Wars would have taken them both out to end their Evil...That was Revan's style, even if he/she was Good Revan was a person who pulled everyone's chain just to push and pull them into positions where he/she could totally overwhelm them. Exile was more of the same, but Exile did it on a much grander scale than Revan did during his/her return... Obviously I am correct because Yuthura is not there in K2, not anywhere, and niether is Dustil, so even if Revan was Light Side, he/she obviously ended the Sith threat in that tomb.
  11. I will call him "My Young Apprentice", just like my Nephew and my g/f who I have to train every day Man, did I learn a lot about training people during my times as the lead training officer in LSF and CGF, before I went solo...
  12. Wookie rage, stims and a powerful shield and the ubese will be no match :D -jim <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I tried that, if you've read my post Use Hardcore and hard game settings, THEN come and tell me to go toe-to-toe with them
  13. But then what did that have to do with what we were discussing? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nothing...Just talking for the sake of talking...I do that a lot when I'm not hacking people apart in K2 or hacking XWA for my mod
  14. That dialogue option for the Exile in the Hidden Tomb wasn't necessarily a sign that the Exile knew for a fact exactly what Kreia was planning, exactly what Kreia was manipulating him to do, and so on. It was just a suspiscion based on her general attitude toward him and whatnot, things that normal people could notice and pick up on, not a sign that he read her mind. If they were able to sense and read feelings, emotions, and thoughts through their bond -- so much so that the Exile would have even known exactly who Kreia was referring to when she said "the betrayer" -- then what would have stopped him from knowing everything about her early on? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I am saying that he didn't know about her early-on, it was the implied "read between the lines" stuff that was so blatantly obvious even on my first play-through...
  15. There is an older Force Crush FX mod at www.pcgamemods.com, do NOT use the one released a short time ago, it sounds like spaghetti being sucked through a straw, use the first one, that was specially made to make Crush sound like it did during the original game trailer...Which is really cool! The cut one sucks, BTW, I think the latest Force Crush FX mod at PCGM is the cut one, and it just sucks...Doesn't sound ANYTHING like bones snapping, at least the sound from the game's trailer was realisitic
  16. Ah ah ah! Even if you install the package, you rip it out of him regardless of if you are LS or DS
  17. It was never stated that the Exile and Kreia could read each other's thoughts and emotions. Only that their bond transmitted physical feelings, senses, power, and so on. If they were able to read one another's thoughts, particularly to the extent at which you're claiming (that the Exile could "read" the truth behind anything Kreia ever said to him), then the Exile should have been able to sense Kreia's manipulations very early on. So, why wasn't the Exile able to sense that Kreia was referring to Master Atris with that particular line, then? What difference would it make to their bond whether she was referring to herself or Master Atris? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, I was never taken in by her rantings, not even on my first play-through...I learned all about manipulation during K1, so I was very well prepared for Kreia's clever little manipulations Oh, and the Exile did sense her manipulations, and her true meaning was revealed during the venture through Ludo Kresh's Tomb in the Shyrack Caves The Exile even had the option to say Kreia is manipulating him/her all along
  18. I can kill just about any non-boss with one cast of Crush, and I've got the original Crush FX mod that copied-over the crush sound that was used in the trailer
  19. I wasn't just reinforcing what you said. Yes, I believe Master Atris had been "converted" into Darth Traya or however you prefer to word it. (Speaking of which, if you "don't care about the cut material," why, then, should the alternate model/skin for Master Atris interest you?) I was simply arguing that they were both "Darth Traya". Not simply in the past, in Kreia's case, but in the present as well. In other words, I don't believe that Kreia was necessarily referring only to Master Atris when she spoke of "the betrayer". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hm, I am always open to alternative theory-craftings Interesting, but I don't beleive Kreia would have been referring to herself with that particular line, because it would have given her away, Kreia and the Exile could read each others emotions and thoughts, you know
  20. Not quite...drag him onto the starforge and talk to him again...He'll say he's not quite ready to give up this life of fighting...blah, blah, blah. Cheers, FD <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My least flavorite has to be the cameo's from Bastardilla in K2...The voice acting was insanely poor compared to K1... Also that little duel with Malak in the tomb...Pah! I expected someone taller
  21. Maybe. The game is still easier with the Jedi bunch so no reason to go all "ohnoes you didn't have so and so as Jedi, you must be 12 year old or something"... different strokes for different folks. <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Pah! Why not evolve your team? I use Prestige Padawans, so it's really awesome to have a Sith Marauder from Brianna, and three Sith Assasins Or you can have a Sith Lord from the Consular if you're female...That totally rules when combining him with Kreia and your own Force ability I love giving my team Storm and Death Field and Wave...I also give all my Assasins Master Meditation for good measure..I once gave Atton Force Confusion too...That was a total riot, getting your enemies to kill themselves
  22. I beat Traya once when I was level 20, all I had to do was spam Crush, and ignore her lightsaber trick and go straight for her This is the easiest way to deal with her lightsaber trick: Ignore them, and go straight for the person doing the trick
  23. Ok, it's decided: If the guy removes that shabby little belly tatoo, this skin will totally pwn. Go to the WIP thread over at LucasForums at Holowan to discuss this further. I just wanted to show this skin because it's sooooo hott
  24. Metagaming can be quite boring to some people, so nothing strange in not having your whole party converted into Jedi as soon as possible.... not to mention, it makes the game even more trivial than it already is, so why would you want your characters to be Jedi if you're trying to make the game challenging..? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I make the game hard by putting the game in Hard difficulty, and using the Insane settings of the Hardcore mod...Jedi or not, the enemy can pwn you if you don't know what you're doing
  25. I'm not so sure about that. For the cut scene of Kreia departing Atris' meditation room the developer inserted the following: {Gameplay Programmer: Cut to a sequence of Kreia leaving the holocron chamber along the walkway, the door open behind her. She is alone, and Traya cannot be seen. There should be the sense that something terrible has happened, but the player cannot see.} I assumed this meant that Kreia had converted Atris into the new Darth Traya. There is also the following dialog: Kreia: Know that there was once a Darth Traya. And that she cast aside that role, was exiled, and found a new purpose. But there must always be a Darth Traya, one that holds the knowledge of betrayal. Who has been betrayed in their heart, and will betray in turn. You have bathed in the knowledge of the Sith. But there is not enough truth in such teachings... but it will be a step for you. Atris: How did it happen? Kreia: Search your heart. It was never battle that called to you. Never battle that caused you to fall. Let us say that Malachor V has touched many things, and it casts its echoes still. Atris: Why did he betray me? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wait, here's an addition! Kreia stated to you in one of your dialogue options with her that the Betrayer is female was "unknown", but that she would appear! I bet the "Betrayer" is Atris, uptillion-to-one :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think "Darth Traya" was ultimately meant to be both of them. No, I'm not referring to the cut content, I'm talking about the final version of the game. For the purpose of the Exile's confrontation with Master Atris, I believe she had indeed become the "new" Darth Traya. Kreia even spoke of Master Atris as "Darth Traya" at the Trayus Core on Malachor V (when asked, "Why did you destroy Atris?"). However, remember what Kreia said through the holocrons when (if) the Exile delivered the fatal blow to Master Atris. She said something along the lines of, "There must always be a Darth Traya. If she is not it, then I must take on that role, and prepare you for the times to come." Once Master Atris was either killed or simply beaten, I believe Kreia had then retaken that moniker for the purpose of the Exile's final confrontation with her at the Trayus Core on Malachor V. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, thanks for reinforcing what I just said As I said: "Master" Atris is the Betrayer that Kreia talks to you about when you ask her about the Sith that you face Heh...I don't care about the cut material, because it's just plainly obvious that Atris was to become Traya because Kreia was about to die, and Kreia knew that, and knew she could use the Holocrons that Atris sorrounded herself with to convert her There is an alternative Traya model/skin, she really looks like a Dark Side version of Atris, too... Kreia had two options: Create a new Darth Traya, or make damned sure the Exile was trained well enough to survive the aftermath of her death. Kreia was dead, and she knew it, those were her two options.
