No. It is not exciting to start a game with a level 20-50 character. And I think the players don't want to kill their characters. Because both Revan and the Exile are player characters and players don't like when their characters kill each other. I think they should unite against the Sith Empire. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You misunderstand me, boyo...What I meant is that we should be able to pick either Revan or the Exile, and we get to start at level 1 and as we progress through the game, it leads to the ultimate confrontation between high-Level Revan and Exile...Do not think I want to play with high-level chars at the start of my game, no no no...Revan would be returning from his exile in the Unknown Regions, and Exile would be a self-titled Force Master, and he would just start learning about his deeper connection to the Force, and there should be about 20 new Force powers for K3 to make this realisitic...

Yeah, K2 is great, with my system and configuration, I can run K2 with all the special little graphics and sound features through driver modification, with my ATI board, and while I do have some....Minor...Problems with the storyline, it was still well-written, staying within the confines of the EU (which I cannot say about George's own works since '99)... The game is well-designed, and although the cut-out game material was very hastily cut (there should have been walls where the levels led to non-existant sublevels, and there should have been a cut-off to the story where it led to non-existant dialogues, instead of mis-leading the player at the end of the game), I still throughly enjoy K2. K2 does far better than K1 because you boys at Obsidian made a lot of upgrades to the old game engine, and the modding abilities have drastically improved with K2 over K1. All in all, asides from all the hastilly-cut material and the rather annoying ATI problems (which I fixed with a ton of personal driver hacking), this game does better than K1 does, in my book... Oh, and here is an offer I can fufill RIGHT NOW for Radeon 9800 Pro/XT owners: I have made my own personal drivers for the 9800 Pro and XT, and I've fully tested them with K1, K2, Republic Commando, Battlefront, XWA, and several other games such as Doom 3 and Far Cry and UT2004...I can upload these drivers somewhere, or send 'em to ya through email...These drivers won't work for x800 owners, however...The OpenGL I used is incompatible with the newer video boards. I can also give you my settings I use with RadLinker to make K2 look and run like a dream I know, it's a small offer, but I'm tired of seeing the pissing and moaning over ATI driver conflicts and features are missing while playing K2...If it's not crashes and other things, it's people pissing about there being no Glows...I am simply offering this driver of mine to people who own the 9800 series and below...Anything newer than the 9800, and you can forget being able to use my driver, that's all there is to that. seanwise@charter.net if you want the driver, or I'll post it if you guys ask... So, yes, even though I personally dislike Lucasarts because they have not been co-operative as of late, I love Obsidian and K2, and I can accept the fact that there is cut material that pokes out in places throughout the game, because K2 is so fun! Well, I already did a tiny little mod that will make Brianna hand you your old Lightsaber (remember when she said she was coming with you because "Atris beleives you will need help"??? :D) before you meet the Council... There are two Lightsabers, one is a single-blade that has been specially modified with some very special base stats, and the other is a Double-Blade with the same enhancements :D I usually combine the Single with my normal single saber from the game itself, but there are times when I prefer double-blades over dual....It's rare, however, when I use double-blades...I am very ambidextrous and I love using both of my hands to obtain total tactical superiority over the single-blade "fencing masters" :D Ah well, I still want to be able to switch your leading-hand to your left, so you can be left-handed...Too bad I don't have the ability to do the graphics work needed, I did do some scripting to allow such a thing to be done, but I have to find a l33t modd34z or h@xo4z who's a wonder with graphics design to make a left-handed mod work properly... My gf is good with graphics, but she still has a lot to learn, and as much as I like her, I don't think I'd ruin one of my perfect mods by including her present level of work in it...I have insisted on total perfection with my X-Wing Alliance mod, which is why it's now been being worked on for 7 *YEARS*, and it's still not done, though it will be for sure as EP3 comes out

Ah, you are just no fun, I guess Bastilla was just too stuck-up for my tastes, Mira likes to have fun...But fun in a bounty hunter way, which makes her even more attractive to a warrior like me Her lack of experience was also a definate plus, because it meant that she had NO connection to your troubled past, which meant there would be no weaknesses that Mira could exploit if she turned on you Bastilla preys on Revan's history, and their Force Bond thanks to her poorly-planned raid on Revan's ship those years prior....She uses Revan's past to dance around him like a mosquito...She is a blood sucker to the extreme...Even if you choose to be evil, she still will try to get ahead of you eventually...Remember: The Sith always try to over-run one another There is no genuine friendships among the Sith, and love is just passion dictated by using too many emotions, but such a Force Bond as Revan and Bast had is LETHAL to both of them...Sith or not, they are both weaklings after K1 is over....I think Revan knew this, and wanted to cut himself off from his "friends" who were making him weak...If you get enough time with Candy in K2, he will even tell you of what Revan did as he/she left! Canderous's final speech in K2 tells a very long story of what happend as Revan left, and it explains a great many things.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, no, no. You know why Revan didnt bring anyone? Cause he knew that those close to him would suffer because of him. Kreia, and perhaps Carth too, reveal this. Bastilla never tries to get ahead of Revan if you play DS. When you face her at the Rakatan Temple, she realizes you are far more powerful than Malak, and the true and rightful ruler of the Sith. The Jedi Council planned the raid, not Bastilla. She doesn't prey on your history. The Council was using her in hopes that the Bond would help you locate the Star Forge sooner. Bastilla was the one who kept Revan alive. Thru her you have a link to your past. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Riiight...Well, interesting how you interpreted what all your team says about Revan leaving, but each of them has their own small opinion, and each is trying to push or pull you in their direction so they can advance their personal goals...Candy is just trying to revive his people, he said as much about the time when Revan took off, according to his own story. Heheh...We can sit here all day and night pissing over who said what and who did what, but ultimately we don't know what K3 will be like...For all we know, they will create yet ANOTHER Jedi, and we'll have THREE running around the galaxy....That would fit with their weak plotline development following K2...

Qixoni is the easiest to obtain, but only if yer DS...You have to give your sliced-open starport visa to a certain obtainee in the Onderon Bar in trade Upari is random late in the game, as is Solari and Ultima...Many of the top crystals are random, and only appear after you finish with the Jedi Council...The best method is to do the Crystal Cave on Dantooine last thing, simply enter the cave first in the game to progress the story, but don't take the crystals in the cave, withhold grabbing them until you go to see the Council, you will land some nice crystals if you hold onto them before you pick them up..

Cos Obsidian were obsessed with making K2 different to K1 and this would be too much like a Bastila, not that I would've minded. Also, fan art Atris was much better than ingame final... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think it is more due to the fact that LA said that OB only had 1+ some year to work on the game, and there simply wasn't enough time. Anyways, I voted "Some lonely nights, the Handmaidens did more than guard her......". It was just too funny to pass up, its not like i liked the mental image or anything. It's always been a bit odd that you can yo-yo between dark and light and not retain any sort of mark. The power may have aged her and her "unaging" would be bizzare. Well, that is what I was saying, somewhat..Kreia is in control of Kreia...Or Traya is in control of Kreia...Or....Oh, **** it all to hell already! :D As for Mara Jade...I have all of the post-ROTJ SW books all the way up to Unifying Force...When Zahn wrote the Heir to the Empire Trilogy, Mara's history with Palpidious is explained very well...One of Zahn's masterworks, that trilogy was...Possibly the only reason why I love Zahn more than any other novelist... Anyway, Mara lost her connection to Palpidious, and she almost had the heart ripped out of her for the first 8-12 months after he died, but she managed to recover and eventually joined Talon Karrde's smuggler nest a few years later...Which I would think would happen to the Exile, *IF* Kreia/Traya is correct about their spiritual link... However, Kreia never tells the truth, so it's impossible to say if the bond between the Exile and herself is as impenetrable as she claims it is... Anyway, the cut story obviously tells a much different story, mostly involving Atton and/or Brianna...One that has Kreia dying, LS or DS, and either the male runs off with a DS or LS Brianna, or the female runs off with LS or DS Atton....But it was pretty clear from that ending that the Exile didn't suffer like Mara Jade did when she was cut off from Palpidious. Of course, Skywalker managed to force Mara to relive the past, and through that, and killing the Cloned Master C'Boath's clone of Luke, she came to grips with Palpidious's last order that she murder Skywalker, and she was freed from Palpidious after that. However, for several years, Palpidious's last thought/order to Mara was ALWAYS in the forefront of her mind...It could be that Kreia left such a...Presence...Within the Exile's mind, possibly buried deep, waiting for the right words or sense through the Force to trigger what she hid within the Exile's mind as she died... I'm betting that Kreia, since she knew she was dying, wanted to open just enough of a pathway into the Exile's mind to leave her presence within the Exile, in one form or another...Probably either leaving an order to restore the Jedi or to destroy them and the Force, depending on your alignment

Rosbjerg was Revan in KotOR, and so the Ebon Hawk is certainly his former ship - he bleeding stole it personally from one hood called Davik! And so did you and I and everybody else. :D Regarding the poll, I concur with all people who liked the TSL intro better. The Endar Spire feld artificial and constructed, the typical KotOR 'emergency' where everybody stands around bored and yawning. As regards the newbie areas: getting to play T3 on Peragus and getting to meet an HK were nice touches, and the story was probably on par with the original KotOR. On Citadel there was even a somewhat consistent quest/event chain (Czerka vs. Ithorians). But gameplay-wise Taris wins hands-down, absolutely no contest. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh blah blah blah! Don't you dare turn this into a troll/flame-war, the last one I fought with the XWAU lasted years, and it's still not over, and it will probably never be over...I don't think you want us to be hunting each other for the next 10 years

Well, leftover or not, the code exists, and that means it could be possible...Unfortunately I'm not as familiar with this engine as T7 is yet... Interesting...You know something, in the game's original trailer, you see the droid planet, you see a lot of the things that got cut, and I am thinking there could be more to this patch than we all think there is, which would explain, at least in part, why it's taking so long to get through Q&A, there may be a *LOT* to test...I can only hope

I remember the debate over the Nebulon-B Frigate that was made at the XWAU, first DTM made one, then Master Qui-Gon comes and makes an even better one, but then that confuses everyone as to which Frigate is official XWAU Naturally Qui-Gon and Darksaber said that the new Frigate was not XWAU, but at the same time, neither was DTM's...LOL...Still haven't resolved that little debate. I still look at Qui-Gon's Nebbie as the real XWAU version, as DTM's looked rather...Cartoon-ish...
