I didn't even know (when I started) that characters could even be "Jedi-fied". So yes, good to save levels up for them so they can build up to a half-decent Jedi in one hit. I'm a Stun-then-kill type player, so I suppose I could save up levels so when I go prestige, I can get a lot of the sneak-attacks (Jedi Watchman?). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hm...It's a matter of what does the most damage and allows you to survive the most hits at the same time With the Guard/SL/JM, you cover all your bases, you have deadly ranged attacks and when the enemy is close enough and/or you somehow exaust your FP's, you can run them down with sabers that have 50-100 damage each heheheh....Try getting sabers that do 50-100 with master flurry and both regen abilities and full toughness and conditioning There is no one that can beat that combo, and I mean NO ONE *Starts playing Adema and turns off the ingame music as he runs down everything in the game in two hits* Pwned

K3 Suggestion Box:
AlaricQelDroma replied to AlaricQelDroma's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I think that is reasonable...I can do three of those things, but I'm not sure just how well I can do them....Yet. Anyway, I don't know about the tatoo thing....That just doesn't fit right for me...I'm cool with the rest though. If you want self-mutiliation, I can do that by having dug-out plasma burns and other stuff though We also need at least ONE bondage girl from the Sith...I mean, that just should be mandatory for the end of KOTOR (assuming this would be the end, which I hope it's not )....Visas came close, but she lacked the coolness factor I think... Create another Visas, give her some personality and desire to fight, and that would be da bomb Hey, there's an idea...Make Visas more personable...Yeeessss.... I mean, she DOES follow the Exile around now, right? She was really beginning to interact more with you and your allies at the end of the game, it would be the logical conclusion I like the experienced girls who have personality, too...Heh...Brianna had the personality, but lacked the experience and the worldly knowledge factor, which was my major sore-spot with her... EDIT: Hm, I am making the first person to die be Bao-Dur...I hate his lame ass...No reasonable armor, he's like Hanharr...Weak as a lost puppy. Even with the prestige padawans mod Bao still blows...He's good for ONE thing: Repairing the droids. If you con T3 enough, YOU can heal him and regen your FP's at the same time, so Bao's only genuine advantage in combat is negated by the PC if you have enough influ with T3...I hate that. -
I NEVER withhold...I just go Guardian/SL/JM, by the time I hit prest, my Guardian is hell-on-wheels with both his feats AND my build ALWAYS has at least 200 FP's by the time he hits SL/JM, so he has insane combat ability and then insane Force ability once he hits Lvl 15 I love spamming Drain Life and Lightning, then setting my allies to Grenadier and watching as they get owned in less than 30 secs, even when using Hardcore with the hardest settings Pwuhahahahah...I remember when I was fighting on Onderon and fighting all of those peons that Vaklu throws at ya, I just made sure to let them get all bounched together, then I just kept spamming powers and letting my allies bombard them with Plasmas and Thermals For the bosses, they got pwned by all the Guardian's feats, I remember when I decided to tackle Dantooine first and got tangled with Vrook...That was the HARDEST fight I have ever had, when using Hardcore with maximum settings...Vrook just kept spamming Master Flurry and nearly killed me in one attack, I must've used 30 adv. medpacs in that fight alone The easiest way is to sit there with about 5 thermals and run very fast behind the trees to either side, vrook will stay where he is as soon as you get behind the trees, and if you move just right, you can get the drop on him with the thermals and the spam him with Lightning before he even gets to you....That was the only way I could handle Vrook...I couldn't match him in a direct fight while I was level 13, so I just side-stepped him and abused the trees I always go to each planet to shop before I even start the missions...That way when I rush Vrook first, I have some thermals and adv. medpacs It kinda sucked that you had no allies when dueling with the Masters, it would have allowed you to catch your breath easier...Sigh... Vrook has to be the hardest fight in the game if you decide to take him first...I never once had a problem with anyone else in the game...Vrook is just hell if you're low-level...The only way I can even hit him is with detonators and lightning, everything else won't even touch him and all the stimming/support powers won't help a single bit either.

Ok, I think a new question needs to be asked: Why should Revan and the Exile fight one another? Should they not work as a team? Between them, they have more than enough elite allies to take the galaxy by storm if they both ran into the galaxy from the Unknown Regions and the Trayus Academy I mean, why should one be better than the other? I think Revan is definately a more deadly Force user, while the Exile has all the allies in the galaxy to throw up around himself as a shield while he gathers more power to himself for the final duel, should his enemy(ies) survive fighting his uber-allies Revan is the powerhouse while the Exile sorrounds himself with EXTREMELY powerful allies...They both are a match for the other. The Exile has incredible power as well, but he prefers to let his elite friends do things first. If you con Atton and the rest just right, you can have them suckin' you off just so they can be the first ones to have a piece of the enemy My ultimate game: 1. Hardcore with maximum settings. 2. Prestige Padawan Mod. 3. Envida's 1.3 Complete Mods 4. Prestige Robes&Items Mod 5. A crapload of reskins/remodels 6. Being a Guardian then Sith Lord I love the final battles if you have those mods because it makes the game look so damned cool If it wasn't for my gameplay being basically crash-proof (I don't know how or why my game is so rock-hard stable, it just is), I would HATE this game... When I can play the game the entire way through without needing to exit the game one time, then I can sit back and laugh like a maniac for hours, and I assure you, I do Oh, and don't forget the original Crush FX mod that was done by someone a while ago (Do not use the new one posted today, that one sucks), if you mod your spells.2da to support the new audio file, it owns Bwuahahahahha...I have done nothing over the last 5 days except play and replay K2 with these specific mods I love the Guardian/SL combo the most because it gives you the maximum ability: You get hella feats AND you master the Force to the extreme I wish I could clone my PC for all of you so you could have a rock-stable game, but alas, my PC is now a relic of Intel's golden age when RAMBUS was the elite standard Hm...I know...I could try giving you my INI, perhaps...I doubt it'd fix things, but I did a LOT of work in getting this game to be rock-stable *AND* have full graphics functionality with my ATI board...I doubt I can fix your game if you have an X800 however...The x800 seems to be chronically ****ed when it comes to KOTOR, no matter how much I have people mod their drivers it still won't work on the x800...SIgh. I wish the PC industry would just choose a hardware standard and STICK with it for more than 6 months at a time...Like in the old days when I built this PC I guess it was just some insane combination of experience, innate talent, luck, and hard work that I got K2 to run perfectly on my system...Wish I could duplicate it for others...

Ok guys and gals, I figured it's now time to start the storyline suggestions box for K3: Here's my list: 1. Exile and Revan (and possibly what's left of their respective teams) join forces in the Unknown Regions and rush into the galaxy with a vengeance that totally overwhelms everyone. Even the Hutts fear them 2. Meanwhile, there is another Jedi who has been hiding somewhere in the Deep Core (which has gone pretty-much unexplored as far as the EU is concerned ), and he starts his journey into the galaxy after years of exile. This new Jedi should have ties to the Qel-Droma family. 3. While Revan and the Exile continue their domination of all who dare to stand against them, the new Jedi discovers Ulic's Holocron that was hidden away on Rhen Var. He begins learning by this point of his family history and the history of Ulic, and of course he learns all of Ulic's techniques and essentially is trained by Ulic this way. 4. While the new Jedi runs around the galaxy (There should be AT LEAST 10 different locations for K3, and no, I am not ****ing kidding about this. If you need people to do it, then ****ing hire some of us who know how to reverse-engineer this game, stop relying on your internal sources so much, I know how hard it is to create a single planet for these games, but I've already written a full script for K3, and I am not the only one) trying to find allies (The Wookies should be heavily used for this, as well as the Trando's...COME ON, let's add more species here! Bothans, Gand, Ubese, ETC...), the Jedi begins to discover Revan's and the Exile's history, and by say the 5th planet, the Jedi should be pretty-much clued in to the both of them. 5. Revan and the Exile doubtlessly will send their allies at you once they find you, this means SEVERAL high-caliber duels with HK-47 and the HK-50's that he's undoubtedly gained full control of, duels with Zaalbar and Hanharr (preferably involving your own alien allies), and then of course a huge-ass Jedi war that should span each of the 10 locations for return-trips. Some of your alien allies should be Force Sensitives, without a doubt. Aliens can be Jedi/Sith just as much as humans can be, and most of them are even more deadly because of their innate species-specific abilities 6. You should be able to FULLY train your team this time, you should be able to train your non-Jedi/Sith to follow your examples and have incredibly sophisticated fighting techniques. Your Jedi/Sith should be able to be just as deadly as you are as you train them, including going to full Prestige classes. Now, all of these ideas I can do through modding with K2...After I finish my XWA mod, I will use K2 to explain Alaric Qel-Droma's backstory by hacking K2 to pieces. It's already well-proven that you can make your own levels, and I already have the majority of the scripting I need done...Thanks to some others in the community, the Prestige allies mod is already done, and the Ultimate Lightsabers Pack for K2 will definately help me out too. The scripting support is easy, of course, what's going to take me some time will be doing the 10 or so planets/locations...But, I know it can be done. I am getting tired of seeing the most powerful Jedi/Sith running away from their lives to the Unknown Regions, and their allies just hide into obscurity. The end-game will definately be the Trayus Academy, I'm going to make both the Exile and Revan use that as their headquarters for their return to the galaxy...With the Exile and Revan leading all of their allies and training them at Trayus, you can understand why I want to do this I am too impatient to wait for K3, and since I know they'll probably just introduce another Jedi/Sith who is going to run away with no ultimate resoulution, I'm going to do this my way. I really hate to do this, but then again, not really K3 is likely going to be like K2: Another half-baked expansion pack, and not a REAL game. K2 always felt way too much like an expansion pack for K1, there was just not enough NEW material to convince me otherwise. I want a massive war between the Revan/Exile combo and a new Jedi from the Qel-Droma family who is using Ulic's techniques to run around gathering allies and then kicking asses all over the galaxy as Revan/Exile send their allies at you...That would own. I can make it so there is both Light and Dark options of course, Alaric is not real evil or a do-gooder, but he can use either to attain total superiority over any enemy he faces....As the end-game happens, Alaric will come into his TRUE potential and will be glowing with pure Force energy, niether totally dark or totally light, just pure Force power...You will have the option to let Alaric become a Force Master with his final abilities, making him a very deadly hybrid cross between a Lightsaberist Master and a master of controlling the Force. Skills won't be quite so critical as they are in K2, because I don't beleive in needing skill points. If you are properly trained and you have the right amount of experience, you'll automatically be able to perform cetain tasks without needing 50 skill points in something...When you become a Force Master, you won't need skills anyway, you'll be able to do almost everything because you'll be an un-rivaled master of physical combat and you'll have enough Force power to sweep most common enemies aside in one cast. Of course, I am going to make Revan deadly as hell, and the Exile is going to keep his Jedi very close to him for the final battles...Yes...BATTLES...I don't like having one ending battle...I want there to be many fights that will utilize the entire map before the end comes. HK-47 and his droid buds will probably be among the first enemies I send at the player, but don't assume HK will be a pushover, because even though he has no melee talents, he will be able to take a ton of punishment and here's my final bit: I will guarentee that every major fight will last for at least 20 minutes, no matter how powerful you are! Even with playing with Hardcore at the maximum difficulty modes, I can still kill Nihilus in 5 minutes, hands down...That is not a duel, that is a slaughter How long do the duels in the films last? At least 20 minutes! I want to have that in my games. I've managed to pull that off with XWA, and I'll be damned if I can't make K2 do it too. I am also thinking about doing some work with Republic Commando too when the tools come out...RC has definate potential Yes, I will be re-using the various environments from K2 to make this mod...I don't have all that much know-how with graphics, so... I don't know how many others among you have thought of doing your own story for KOTOR, but I've been thinking of this ever since I first started my XWA mod 7 years ago, and I planned out three mods: One flight sim, one FPS, and one RPG. Sorry for the overly long post, but I needed to get all of this out. I know you will understand....

Heh...One word...HENTAIIIII Sigh...Why does everyone always hate Vis? She is far more experienced than Brianna is, and that counts for a *LOT* in my book. I mean, you're supposed to be a bigtime Force Master, you've been light and dark in the past, so you're probably the most experienced Force user right after Kreia (if not more so than her, even)...Doesn't it figure that Visas would be a better match simply because Brianna knows nothing about the Force? Sigh...I wish they'd done some dialogue for a relate with Mira...Maybe had a fight at the end of the game after Mira and Hanharr finish their fight..? I'd love to see Mira have to take down Visas and/or Brianna
-
That is if you like "kicking ass" as you so eloquently put it " Not everyone likes to run around being the schoolyard bully all the time, or running around trying to shaft the latest Sith Lord IMHO, you can manipulate them all...In fact...If you play your cards JUST right with the dialogues....You could reach the end-point with all three of them, but not reach an ultimate resolution! This means that they would still be chasing you around, all of them....Yeeeessss... Does anyone think that the whole Dark Side thing relating to that little slave girl was bordering upon pedo, perhaps....? Nar Shadaa I mean? If you choose to talk about the squiddy as your pet, you get some interesting replies... Oh, and how can a being made up of vapor actually rape Visas? He's not a man anymore, remember? Isn't that like talking about tentacle demon skull****ing or something? Come on, stop trying to make Visas sound that way, because she's not. Besides, even if she was, she'd make wonderful bondage material EDIT: Was I being sick enough there? I can't tell...It has been 5 years since I've spoken like that Last time I did it was when I was talking about a few of the girls in the LSF...Ah, now THAT was some real fun with wordage

Or do the mine exploit until you go blind from staring at 15 mines stacked on top of each other. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Here is the reason you WANT level 50: Beancounter's Hardcore mod, using his "Insane" settings, then setting the game's AI to hard-mode Try playing with that and telling me you don't need level 50 I bet you can't handle Mira/'Hanharr's escape against all those totally killer Ubese with those settings I get raped in two hits if I am not EXTREMEMLY careful Wookie Rage anyone? In order to really stand a chance of beating those sort-of settings, you need at least level 30, and it would not hurt to download these mods: 1. Prestige Padawans Mod (Once your Jedi reach a certain alignment point, they will become their prestige class...Heh...3 full-fledged Sith Assasins...PWNED! ) 2. Prestige Robes&Items package (Don't even try to argue with me. These iteams are really needed if you are using the hardest difficulty you can use ) 3. Version 1.3 of the Envida's Complete Mods (This REALLY helps you early-on in the game...You'll need it if you use the hardest settings ) 4. Beginning Items Mod (All these components and chems come in handy as well, and it gives you a *REASON* to pump points into TA and also to pump up your CON, combine this with Envidia's mods to make all implants buildable, and you'll see the reason why I heavily suggest having at least 16 CON when you start ) I usually start out as a Guardian, because if you build your Force right, you won't need a Consular's extras to be death incarnate You also really need all of those extra Feats too...They are a total nessesity for using the hardest settings. Try using the hardcore mods and some supporting mods...I myself am currently using about 20 mods, most are re-skins and remodels though. I also had to use the new Force Crush sounds that were made a while ago....Hehehe....CRUNCH!!
-
Hm, I had a full-on Master Critical with dual-wield and Master Speed, instead of showing multiple attacks, it tallied everything into one damage line, and it read 216. Though I had the Hardcore and it wasn't near an insta-kill...But it was still fairly high...Though with a few mods out there, I have gotten a total damage tally of 326 so far...Of course, I doubt using mods count, huh?

I like Visas more than any of the girls. You connect with her on a totally spiritual level, your soul connects to hers through the Force. Brianna and Mira never have the experience with the Force to be able to do anything remotely like this. Brianna and Mira are great for a ride or two, but it's Visas who you can genuinely connect with. The two girls I have in my life I connected with spiritually, we almost never have to use words or common gestures to communicate with each other, we just know what each other is feeling and that's all... With you connect with someone spiritually, that is a far greater gift than any physical bond will be...The Exile and Visas were made for each other. They are both incredibly Force sensitive and if you went through the whole mind-opening thing with Kreia, you will definately be connecting to Visas on a MUCH deeper level than you ever could with Brianna or Mira. Plus I can turn Visas into one hell of a Sith Assasin (I use the mod out there to make your Jedi into prestige classes, that's a real bit of fun to use with Hardcore )...Between her ability to cast the most deadly spells and her ability to equip the most deadly items (if you know how to engineer things just right ), she will rape Brianna and Mira without any contest. Heheh..Try the Padawan Prestige Classes mod...Combine it with the Prestige Class Robes&Items mod and hardcore, and you have one hell of a force to tackle Hardcore on Insane with the game set to hard The only problem I seem to have with all these mods: Hanharr can get killed in two hits from the Ubese, no matter WHAT he has on him I think I should replace Hanharr with the Desciple...Yes....Anything to get rid of that all-too-vulnerable walking carpet...For all his size and power, the Ubese can totally own him if you are using Hardcore Hanharr is just too damned weak compared with the rest of your team...Mandalore owns him when outfitted properly. Hanharr's lack of armor just isn't right. Oh, and who says Wookiees cannot wear armor?? Just because they don't usually craft armor suits that large doesn't mean they *CANT* We are talking about a Wookiee who has left every single one of his traditions behind to go merc, when you bind him to you with Kreia, he is little more than a Sith Wookiee, but his lack of armor makes him as weak as a Gizka...Pah! <_<

I don't really care for KJA much...I am definately a Zahn/Stackpole guy I am a pilot IMHO, so of course I default to the only two authors who have come even halfway close to making the flying portions of SW realistic KJA...Meh...He theories on Jedi/Sith were flawed in so many ways, I don't even know where to start explaining all the ways in which he was wrong. Everyone thinks Jedi cannot master both the Light and Dark sides of the Force and use them both to attain Force Mastery, this is the fiction that KJA led most of us to beleive, and what subsequent authors have perpetuated I really hate the other fiction in that Jedi cannot be skilled engineers, starship commanders, or pilots. This is COMPLETE and TOTAL BULL**** Whoever made up that Jedi must never use technology crap needs to be shot repeatedly by a bb-gun until he bleeds from every oriface, then healed in kolto/bacta, then shot again and again Even Luke used tech stuff, especially after the films Mara was another great example of how Jedi can also be skilled in MANY other areas, and proof-positive that not every force sensitive has to join the Jedi or Sith. Many Jedi families and other force sensitives in fact cut themselves off from the Order after the Clone Wars, and many deadened their connections with the Force itself to avoid detection by Palpidious's Jedi Hunters...Hence the Jedi who were left after the Civil War ended So, it's not a real stretch to be able to create a couple of Jedi from the Clone Wars era who decided they'd had enough of the blasted Republic and their warmongering, and wanted to make their own lives somewhere else where they would not be hunted or even bothered. Because Alaric is so powerful, and because of his uh..."Dark Status", Palpidious never does anything to the Alteria System because he knows that he'd have a major war on his hands if he attacks, and the last thing he needs is more enemies on top of the remaining Jedi and the Rebellion Besides, the ASDF never interferes with Byss, so the Emperor wouldn't give a crap about what goes on outside his borders
-
Yeah, well, I needed to tell the story of my SW chars, I couldn't just post names without saying why in the hell I called them that Anyway, has anyone ever thought that Palpatine might be hundreds (if not thousands) of years old? He might have found a very secretive race in the Unknown Regions that had a way to drastically slow down the aging process, or he could have discovered cloning like 2000 years prior to EP1...I don't think it'd be too far a stretch.. There is that lag-time between the Sith Wars and EP1 that lasts about 3000 years or so, a LOT could happen in all that time... I wonder...Could the Exile discover how to make a clone of himself and then use Palpatine's Force/Soul/Memory-transfer trick that he used at Byss?? Or maybe Revan? Because that would make a great twist for K3, and if it happend like that, it would mean that K3 would NOT be the end of KOTOR
-
Finish Telos playing as a man. You can't miss her, I don't think. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, you could get blinded by her implants and be unable to see the rest of her, perhaps

QUOTE(The Regent @ Mar 16 2005, 06:31 PM) If anybody would like to see some revisions to the game's dialog in reference to gaining DSP, go here. Hrm...If it wasn't so easy to manipulate everyone, I'd say go ahead and do it. Unfortunately, there is no need of new options asides from being a total murderer or being more manipulative than Revan's pitiful teacher IMHO, the only thing I could think of would be to manipulate Zez into murdering Mira and then making Hanharr kill himself later Now that would be some real fun Use that life-debt to make him kill himself, hopefully wiping out 20 sith in one charge while that carpet is at it Or, we could let the Exile manipulate Kreia into killing the lightsiders in your team...Yummy Let's put THAT ending right before the Exile meets Sion, you get to kill your do-gooder party or manipulate them into killing each other...Ala KOTOR1? I want to do some KOTOR1-style manipulation...That whole carpet slaughters twi-lek hooker thing was just the bomb

Uhm, what was the point of this post anyway? It seems to me like you're just going nuts about being a bad dude...That's EASY...Remember...Quicker and Easier, the Dark Side is! IMHO, try to stay completely neutral, and beat the game being a neutral Consular with all neutral Force powers, maybe Heal in for good measure Without all those light or dark-specific specials, try using the Hardcore mod on insane mode, then turn the game to Hard If you can beat the game as a neutral Consular, then you have something to post about around here Being a master of light or dark is far too easy...You get all those uber bonuses to spam the crappy AI with! Far too easy and predictible I bet if you used Hardcore with Insane and hard game difficulty and tried to stay entirely neutral Cons, you can't do it Of course, if you can give me an un-edited save of you completing the game with your hands hacked off like this, then please provide one I've managed to beat the game that way, I never died once either, no jokes. I could reveal how to make the ultimate neutral consular, but then that'd be telling, would it not?

Well, I have created two Jedi who's story starts out about 5 years prior to Geonosis... Alaric Qel-Droma is a Jedi Guardian turned Sith Lord after the Clone Wars begin, but he decides to operate in the Deep Core, far away from prying eyes and the wars of the mainstream galaxy. He starts a mission with his long-time friend and student, Jorias Kell, to build a large colony system in a relatively large star system called Alteria System, and this gets done while the Clone Wars go on, Jorias becomes the General and leader of the Alteria System Defense Force, while Alaric continues to work on his masterful engineering abilities in designing new ships and weapons for the Alteria System to use against the endless pirate raiding and other threats that enevitably get thrown at the ASDF. Jorias Kell is about 5 years younger than Alaric, he was trained by Mace Windu mainly, but also learned from Yoda about the deeper mysteries of the Force, while Mace taught him combat tactics and how to master the arts of Lightsaber Dueling. He was also one of the most talented fighter pilots that the Order produced in those days, right up there with Skywalker himself in terms of experience and sheer innate talent, but unlike Skywalker, Jorias's true abilities were more geared at fighter piloting, Lightsaber mastery, and being able to lead others. Alaric saw Jorias's strengths and so conveniently placed himself in a position to rescue Jorias when he got overwhelmed in a long series of running fire-fights with Seperatist forces near the edges of the Core. Jorias saw how powerful Alaric was with the Force, and also saw how good it would be to have a private home away from the Republic's war that was slowly being lost battle by battle. Jorias by that time became very tired of the constant fighting in the galaxy, and decided to join the Alteria System Defense Force as a Commander. Alaric had always been the military leader until that point, as he was a very capable starship commander, and had been given the rank of Commodore by the Alteria System High Council, which was led by Jorias's older sister, Aspi Kell, and of course Alaric had befriended her years earlier. Basically the Alteria System faces threats from constant pirate raiding from a nearby nebula cluster that is chocked full of asteroids, and naturally the pirate's base is located deep inside the asteroids somewhere, but Alaric and Jorias did not find a way through the rocks until a certain point in the XWA campaign I'm making for this whole story, when the Empire started their Byss colony... I won't reveal the rest of the story since it is heavily rooted in the XWA storyline, and the player will reveal those details as he plays through. Alaric is basically an older Jedi Guardian who became a Sith Lord, and he has a wonderous depth of knowledge about the Force, light and dark, but he decided not to involve himself with the outside galaxy because he just did not want to. He is a masterful engineer of starships and weapons, and is a very experienced starship commander. Jorias is younger, he is a Jedi Guardian as well, but since the player in my mod takes on the role of Jorias as the tale of the Alteria System is woven, I cannot reveal too much...Suffice it to say that he learns about the Force from Alaric. He is a master of lightsaber combat and starfighter piloting, and a very good leader, although he can get a little abrasive with his people at times... There is also a MUCH deeper mystery to Alaric which gets revealed as Jorias learns more about his new Master. Suffice it to say that Alaric is much older than the Order's history of him says he is, and there is a very huge mystery between Alaric and the Sith Wars 4000 years prior. Alaric's family name is NOT a co-incidence. The Order never speaks of Alaric because of this huge mystery, suffice it to say that Alaric created his history with the current-day Jedi Order, and only Yoda had any inkling of what was going on with him...Much will be revealed as the player goes through Jorias's life and the story of the Alteria System Windu will play an important part in the beginning of Jorias's story, the prologue of the mod...Windu *IS* the bigtime leader-boy of the Order anyway, right? The Clone Commandos will also be in the mod, and the Empire will be pivitol to the story after the Clone Wars end...The Emperor will make a cameo, but only for one piece of the Byss Colony storyline. The Rebels will make a few appearances towards the end, as the end of the story takes place about 2 years after Luke kills the Emperor's clone at Byss...Yes, Rogue Squad will be involved in things, and I intend to make that fight as realisitic as I can...I wish I had voice actors for the various squad members...sigh...doing a mod of this size that has taken all of these years to come up with, and I still don't have everything I need to make my dream-mod complete...

Erm, whoops hehe...Sorry, I just like to talk about her...Somehow, whenever I'm interacting with her, I always think "Borrrrg Implants....Yummy "... Next comment: "Hey babe, wanna Borg?" IMHO, her attitude is like the drone-to-queen relationship stuff in regards to Atris Hm, when I say "Borg Implants", I don't mean Occular, hehe
-
Ok, her name is Brianna (Ok, I think Obs got just a wee bit too close to a real-life experience here, possibly? ), and she is the daughter of Yusanis, the greatest Echani Vibrosword Duelist of Revan's time. Revan killed Yusanis in battle (as it should have been), and Yusanis's wife was a Jedi Master who betrayed the Order because she fell for Yusanis with some real passion (Maybe we can see a flashback sequence of this in K3...Maybe...? ), and her name was Arren Kae. It is assumed that after Kae and Yusanis's had their child, they left the child to the Order, and that is how Brianna/HM came to be in Atris's hands all those years prior to K2. I wonder...They forbid any sort of family attachments in the Order, and yet, they will let Atris become a stepmother to Brianna? They will let Obi-Wan become a stepfather for Annie? Am I the only one sensing a huge problem with the broken ideals of the Order going entirely ignored here?

Call-out for Hades...
AlaricQelDroma replied to AlaricQelDroma's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yes, of course...However, progress is slow because I'm also working full-time on getting my XWA mod done, which has been on my plate for the last 7 years.... I've been trying to snap things up with K2, but reprogramming an AI to make it use more of it's abilities isn't as easy as it first sounds...I'm also trying to extract data from Republic Commando to try and snap up that AI as well, good as it is, it still isn't quite enough, and I don't think you should have to order your "elite" troops to take positions and man turrets, that should be automatic behavior I am also trying to change how your own AI handles things...If you put a Jedi on Jedi Support, they will cast the most useless of their powers FIRST, THEN, if they have the FP's, they will cast the spells that you have spent time building-up...Also, I've never seen ANY allied AI mode EVER use a single feat more than once in a single battle with a single enemy, they use it once, then swipe them off with a second hit....Also, has anyone ever seen the droids actually use their shields and/or their special arm weaponry? I never have seen it since KOTOR 1 myself, and then I had to use the Jedi Support option on the droids as well... I also want your allied AI to be using their personal shields (if equipped) when they enter a battle...I've been trying to make all of these changes, and I've had some limited success, but again, it's not easy to work full-time on two entirely different games at once...It's like trying to hold onto an X-Wing running full speed, and an A-Wing full speed, and trying to hold them in place so they don't smash into one another Anyway, I'll continue working on the uh...AI's retarded-ness...When I come up with something, I'll seek you out again...By then you may have found your own solutions anyway, eh? -
Have you taken your game back yet?

YOU ARE THE TROLL ON THIS BOARD, kiddo. Why don't you grow up? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe because I am stuck in my past with XWA and the LSF...Maybe because I was hurt as badly as the Exile was, maybe because I got exiled in the same fashion...I don't really know, and I don't really care anymore...I just exist and do what I can. It's never enough for anyone, everyone always expects more from me, but I don't care...Ah well. I have to right to troll back if trolled...It's nothing worse than what nearly everyone on these boards has been doing since K2 PC came out! These boards are total flamebait, so of course I'll be inticed into trolling back at the trolls because I have nothing better to do with my time because I have too much of it. I have not only been exiled, but I've had major life-threatening surguries over the last 2 years now, and so I've been out of college for a while, and I don't have anywhere else to go, because no one else in my family understands gaming at all, and what few friends I had evaporated when the LSF fell in a huge civil war that was 1/24th my responsibility. So boo-****ity-hoo...I've told you the truth, at least the truth I've come to live with over the last several years....There is far more to my story that I won't tell because I've already said too much, and soon my ghosts from the XWA realm will come here to haunt me because they refuse to let me exist anywhere in public within the SW gaming community...There is much that happend 7 years ago, and like me, those people I hurt back at seem to have my perfect memory, so none of us will give the other a break, and yada yada yada... I don't care what you think of me, because nothing you can say about me is worse than what the XWA community did to me...Nothing. Yes, I am a board-lurker, and I look for flamewars because flamewars remind me of my "golden age" that I had 7 years ago before it all evaporated in my face. I will probably never find myself or my real purpose in life because the only thing I know how to do is exist on PC's and work with PC games...I'd make a real case for the WoW addicts, if I had my own money to play it with Yes, I come off as an ****, that is because I don't really know or care who or what I am anymore. I have been lost since XWA was betrayed by Lucasfarts and since the LSF got crushed by it's own people... I can go on, but I won't...It does not matter to you, it certainly does not to me, I am just here because I have nothing else to do with my time...I guess I'll go to an EP3-bashing site and have some fun over there.... I posted what I wanted: I posted what fixed my game, if it works for you, good, if not, then whatever...Wait for the patch...It shall come. Conversation terminated, meatbags. -
IMHO, I don't think it's a stretch to imagine a content patch to add the rest of the HK-50 story and the cut endings...Because: All of the voiceovers are done, and a lot of the preliminary materials are already in the code, all they have to do is re-script some stuff, add in a few pages worth of code here and there, and bingo! I myself got some of the cut ending to work right, and I can access the Droid Planet and the HK-50 factory on Telos...I am working on a way to script it into the gameplay so that you don't need to "activate" a transfer to those areas...But it's not easy...I may not get it done in time to beat a content patch (Which I think is probably going to be in tandem with the patch, there is NO other reason why things are taking so long to get released, I have seen Lucasfarts work much faster than this with other games that are just as big...)... I think that there will be more to this patch than some bugfixes...Nothing else could account for all of this time being spent and nothing being shown to any of us on the receiving end If it were merely bugfixes, this would have been out 2 weeks ago, and I am NOT joking. I could fix these bugs if I had the source about 2 weeks ago...It's just that I spend my life playing and working with these games and appearently Lucasfarts has "better" things to do than worry about K2. Heh, I think they are so busy ****ting bricks over the EP3 game being console-only and all of the complaints that is getting from the community

Jolee has his problems too...He didn't fall like everyone else did, but he *DID* fall Had he had a more powerful connection to the Force, his destiny may have been much more powerful and had a greater influence on things. Alas, Jolee's fall was a quiet thing, not because he didn't uh...Pheel things...But because he wasn't a pimp like Mace and couldn't wield his ****stick like Mace did A little bit of ****stick-envy there I beleive? Could be envy of Vrook, possibly? Vrook seems like a partner Padawan for Jolee, they are both Cons, and they are both stubborn as hell, and they both can't tell REAL evil from punk-evil EDIT: You know, for that matter, I don't think ANY Jedi Master except Vandar's race has been able to tell *REAL* evil from the run-of-the-mill punks like Malak. IMHO, Vandar saw your manipulations if you lied all the time during your training....Vandar also saw what the Exile was doing, but he did the smart thing: He let history take it's course and did nothing to stand in the way of history. Vrook, like Obi-Wan, tried to stand in the way of galactic history, and look what they got! Mace too! When you see bad karma coming, you do the appropriate thing: You sit back and watch their behavior patterns until you see a flaw in how they conduct themselves, then you exploit that hole until they notice it and cover it up, then you rinse, lather, and repeat as nessasary until one Master or the other dies EDIT2: Oh, and for another thing!: Yoda noticed Anakin's behavior, and he fully sensed his fall when his mother died. He KNEW what happend, but he kept that info to himself. Why? Because he KNEW that Anakin would eventually leave himself (AND HIS MASTER) exposed in the years that followed! Yoda KNEW that he could not defeat Palpidious and/or Anakin, they were both far too powerful and totally un-restrained for him to have any chance of defeating them, and so, when he dueled with Palpy, he merely fought him off and delayed him until he could make sure his escape route was not only a total secret, but that it was secure for him to hide a Dagobah. I pretty much know how things will go in EP3...Annie is going to get pissed that the Order is USING him to get to Palpy, he thinks the Order are being traitors to the Republic...This will of course lead to him strengthening his leash to Palpy, and to his eventual duel with Obi-Wan Tampons. Palpy is going to just sit back for 2/3 of the show and let the Order strut about and make total fools of themselves so they discredit themselves with the Republic, thereby allowing him to move into control of things later on. Yoda is going to run around trying to lead everyone, but he will come to realize that the war has gone far beyond his ability to control, and he will begin to withdraw himself from the reins of power and try to fade from public view. Obi and Mace will likely be doing the same thing, fighting as hard as they can and trying to mask their presense from the galaxy at large all the while... In the end, Annie is going to get so pissed off at the Order for not making him a Master and for using him to control Palpy that he will get pissed and attack people at random, eventually he will come to Obi and fight with him over the lava pits. While this is going on, Palpy is continuing to consolidate his power-bases and making the Order out to be arrogant, egotistical, and only interested in their own survival to the Republic at large. Mace and what's left of the Order make a last-ditch attempt to stop Palpy, Yoda meanwhile is learning more about Annie's future and about Luke and Leia and busy preparing to join the battle with Palpidious at the last minute after he makes his escape to Dagobah a total secret... In the end, Palpy will end up saving Annie at the last second (or Obi may show pity), and Palpy will oh-so-skillfully manipulate what's left of Annie into becoming his personal assassin droid, and so begins the reign of the Emperor and Vader...Yoda will fight Palpidious to a stand-still, but since he knows his purpose is not to defeat Palpy, he makes his oh-so-smooth getaway and the Emperor lets him go because Palpy likewise knows that killing Yoda is not his true calling... I imagine K3 will probably have some mix of the Exile and Revan (or their respective parties) working in tandem to either restore the galaxy, or to destroy what's left, only to have them all die in another 50 years and after another 500 the galaxy is once again in-balance. IMHO, Annie *DID* bring balance in the end. The Dark Side had no power over the Light, and thus Annie became Evil in order to let the Dark Side have some more power so that things balanced out When Luke destroyed the Emperor and Vader, it didn't eliminate the Dark Side, rather, it uh...Turned the Force neutral, actually...The Dark Side by that moment had become more powerful than the Light Side, and Palpy's death would reduce the Dark Side energy influences enough so that things would return to being balanced...More or less

AlaricQelDroma replied to AlaricQelDroma's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Pah, I've had to wear glasses since I was five...My eyes without them are as blind as Kreya's are...I see through other means...I've learned how to sense when people are near...I can sense their movement as they make noise. It's really not that hard once you learn how to genuinely focus yourself. Anyway...I am somewhat of an outcast of the XWA community these days...I always have been since Datamaster's shut down, actually....I know how to change just about everything with XWA, and I've spent the last 7 years creating my own story in the EU just for my mod...It is nearing completion...The mod is done, all I have left are the 100 or so missions to do with AlliED...That will take a little while because I have to do all the voiceovers...sigh..Thank the Force my father has an ultra-expensive pro studio so I can do the voiceovers just right I try to insist upon perfection when I make any mod...I may just do my work without Hades, but I'd rather be working with him than without him...His mod already does some of the things I want K2 to do, and it wouldn't take all that much to add my stuff to the mix. I hate the default AI that these KOTOR games ship with...Even Dark Forces had better AI Erm, no offense, Obs...I tried to put that as politically as I could, but alas, the truth is hard to shield with lies EDIT: I've been doing some work trying to find out if staring at 60HZ for most of my life was what ruined my eyes early...Probably so. I was always too close to the tube and I didn't know anything of refresh rates until I had my GeForce 2 Ultra...Sad though that is... -
The patch will never come out!
AlaricQelDroma replied to Burnzzz's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I know this, I've always known this...I've felt it ever since they rushed XWA out the door without giving it a second thought, then went and shafted Totally Games so they never wanted to make another flight sim for us <snip> It's been a downhill-run ever since '98 or so...First Win98 was kaput, then the mega-consoles started their runs and the rest is history...It saddens me to see the PC gaming industry continuing to take an endless downhill tumble without stopping to catch it's breath first.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Uhoh.... Alaric, cool it. 98 was a bad year but let's not forget 2005. By 2005 everything will be upbeat again. See the future I can... hahaha... This is going to be a good year.... KOTOR 2 gets patched with free additional content and the world goes on.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ah, but I was not entirely referring to K2 I was referring to the rest of Lucasfarts' current lineup for the next year. I see nothing at all worth even taking a look at...Republic Commando is pretty much the end of the line for me. Until I see them recalling TG to make a new X-Wing/TIE sim, I will never trust LF like I did before...I used to blindly buy anything they made because they never really betrayed their customers until they rushed XWA to make room for that pile of crap EP1 game rush...I almost puked when I saw that Starfighter thing...You CANNOT have a *REALISITIC* flight sim with a console's 10-button controller
