I could run out and build a new cutting edge PC if I felt like it ... but my old i7 still runs everything like a champ and there's no peripherals that I care about...except maybe for another external storage/backup HDD. So why bother. In a year or three, perhaps. And I like gadgets, but usually not enough to buy them. They tend to fall into the "that's so cool/neat-o, but I"d never actually use them and they'd just be paperweights" category.

I'm ready for some baseball! Maybe Verlander will do poorly today. I can dream ... more likely, I'll be able to shower and do a store run in the middle innings and not miss anything.

Watched Walking Dead premiere episode tonight. Was underwhelmed. I realize they were setting some things up/chr. building but it was a big yawn...chr. building is fine/I like such, but with this series it's often so much retreading of the same convo "woe is me" points they've been repeating forever already. The very very end of the episode bodes for something more interesting next week, tho. Also

A telepathic cat familiar NPC whose mage/partner/whatever had been murdered and wants revenge. And if you do the questline in a certain way the cat might decide to become your familiar when you're done. It would, of course, be full of snide remarks and require a pint of milk each time you summon it. ....honestly, I have no idea what sort of NPC I'd really create, which is one reason I didn't give $1000.

I have a few YT accounts, but I'm rarely logged in anymore. And on the rare occasion I want to deal with their stupid "use your real name! Yes/No?" spiel and log in, they change their stuff so much/so often I've stopped looking at options menus. -
Worked well. With ammo regen wasn't even that hard, since that made the bullet spongefest manageable. But you don't get much more exp. for it and outside of more enemy HP's I didn't really notice much difference in loot or number of enemies etc. over two people. Still one of the few games that gives me vertigo in the pit of my belly. Not from a straight jump down so much, but from walking on the edge of something while looking down. Something about the slo-mo/floaty jumping/falling maybe. It's not about fear of game-falling-injury, since there is none.

Ah. So the TR reference was sort of a joke I take it. I'm slow, but I get it now I think.

That was a sweet, sweet victory. I was screaming at the screen and clapping. Wooohooo! Edit: Now I won't be able to sleep.

Dear Tigers pitching: could you start being really...mediocre, just for this week? Thanks.

Previous thread Last page of previous thread It was "free" so last night we tried to watch a movie called Wreckage. This decision was entirely made because Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) was in it. The cable menu description was sort of thrill/suspense sounding. It started off all right with a couple of quick prologues. By the half hour mark I realized it was just a horror film, and not a very good one - although there was a bit of cheeky cliche humor. Aaron Paul did his usual loud-mouthed brash idiot routine then disappeared (along with some other chrs) once the so-called plot kicked in. We didn't stick around to see if he returned. Turned it off.

Time for a fresh thread.

Oh, thanks for reminding me that I wanted to check that show out, Hurl. ...I sorta liked NBC's Blacklist's pilot episode, but haven't watched anymore of it. Mostly, I like James Spader. One of my 80's icons, and he plays a decent "do we trust him" bad guy. Or whatever he is.

I noticed that GoG finally has Deeper Dungeons/DK Gold ... I'm sorely tempted to have a copy that easily works on Win7. I think it doesn't come with the editor tho, but maybe my self-made levels made via my original disc would still work with it or something.

Wait a minute...is that Lara with blonde hair?

I'm not OCD, but if you give me a sandwich where the meat slices/toppings are unevenly distributed (bread coverage + height thickness aspect) I will always open it up and rearrange them. It must....be....even.

Gamed all yesterday afternoon, ate pizza, did the bedroom dance, fell asleep early, and just now, woke up early. Today, it'll be pretty much the same, only we'll eat cold pizza.

Whenever I sit down to watch a little TV, this is my view. He'll sit there and stare at me for 10-15 minutes before giving up briefly, then coming back and doing it again. Over and over, for as long as I'm sitting there. Hoping for treats or a lap or some kind of attention. Sometimes, I watch him watching me more than I end up watching what's on the tube. Since our house is a dark cave, you have two photo options: the underexposed and super grainy version, or the "this built-in flash sucks" green eye version. The first is actually more representative of what I feel like I see, in terms of his eyes.

I think my main problem is that Coulson and that Asian actress (Ming-Na Wen) are the only chrs. I like/don't annoy me. ...I didn't like Fringe or NCIS either, which AoS sorta brings to mind for some reason. Edit: Also, Big Bang theory. I still love this show. Yea, I know, it has a terrible laugh track, but I don't care. Watching Amy and Howard do a car/sing dance to Neil Diamond while driving would make me LOL regardless.

A cape, or a cloak? Because cloaks are so much more practical/awesome. Just sayin', u_u... I think one could debate the definitions of cape, cloak and poncho for a long, long, time. What I'd actually like is something that might be a cross between obi-wan's hooded robe and The Man With No Name's poncho, with a dash of Dracula's cape.

The Agents of Shield pilot may have been some silly fun, but the 2nd episode that I watched was less so. I was mostly bored, actually.

Congrats GD, and sounds like an awesome trip.

I feel bad for the A's, but then again, I'm glad I don't have to play the ping-pong rooting game if they played the Redsox.

Are we talking about the same thing? I just meant the Flash Player/Active X plugin, not full Adobe Flash install. And even flash player is typically disabled in the sense that I use a noscript plugin that blocks such scripts unless I manually "allow it" per site. I mostly want it for YouTube. Java is the one I used to not be able to stand. The Java that lets you play a lot of in-browser games, I mean, not javascript. I haven't tried it in ages tho....but it used to feel too invasive of an install. If a website/feature requires Java to be installed, I move on. Same thing with Quicktime for PC. -
This weekend we're going to try 4-player BL2 with only 2 active players. Two 'placeholder' characters that never move from the fast travel points on secondary PC's (they get auto-dragged with you when you load new areas) and then us playing on our main PC's. I'm mostly curious how much tougher it really is. Plus the non-playing chrs. can have helpful team-mods on, like some low level ammo regen. This should be interesting.
