  1. Had a blast in NWO ... watching some dude twitch stream his game on one monitor while at the same time competing with him in the races and such via my other pc. Hysterical. I nearly died laughing, so funny listening to him comment + see myself on his screen as we raced. Kept me awake. Didn't quite get my 2nd fawn, but who cares. FUN GAME TIMES. Naptime, then family stuff, then maybe I'll switch it up and play BL2 with the spouse all evening.
  2. I like this and I think I'll do the same. Not to mention, I'm still not really grooving on "Pillars" all that much. My brain still wants to see it as Pillows and ... well never mind. Eternity it is!
  3. I've said it a few times in other threads, but I'll say it here too: Hope it's a great day for everyone, however one chooses to celebrate/spend the day. I may not be big on Xmas per se, but holidays do make me reflect a lot on what I'm thankful for and how grateful I am to have those things. From family, roof over the head, games to obsess over, cats to play with, forums to chatter in, and husbands to cuddle. Cheers all.
  4. Interesting, thanks Raithe. I always like hearing/seeing insight into what goes into stuff like that.
  5. I want a male equivalent of Lara. Oh please god no. I think we got enough of this with that sniper dude from Fallout: New Vegas. I think you continually harping on this 2 years after the fact says more about you than my occasionally have a crush on a video game character says about me. But whatever dude. Carry on!
  6. There's lots of stuff in the world using the same acronyms. Causes confusion everywhere, all the time. Such is the limitation of having only 26 letters in the alphabet and many words that people like to use over and over. I'm sure people who want information on the Obsidian game PoE or the Grinding Gear Games PoE can figure it out...
  7. I want a male equivalent of Lara. They had Kurtis in Angel of Darkness, which wasn't a good game at all but I liked Kurtis. Or at least, what my memory remembers of Kurtis. I think he didn't have a happy ending tho. My memory sucks now.
  8. I'm going to get snookered and play video games. Merry Christmas.
  9. Found myself watching the film "Battleship" again since it was on, and found myself enjoying it immensely this time around. Which is odd, because while I originally found it to be tolerably watchable, I couldn't say I actually enjoyed it. Which makes me feel a bit like I'm lost in the ether of some reverse world, where bad movies are actually good movies. It couldn't possibly have been that Xmas eggnog I made. Nope. Time for bed.
  10. Mature to me means the ability to acknowledge people like different things and have different views of maturity, and that one thing or another isn't necessarily better or more "mature" from another ... and that sometimes we get what we personally want, sometimes we get half of what we want, and sometimes we get nothing - and to shrug and be ok with that, because that's how life tends to work at times. That said, as long as the game isn't about teddy bears dancing on top of rainbows to shake pots of gold and honey out of them for high scores, I'm pretty sure Obsidian will make a game that's "mature" enough for me. P.S. - no offense meant to anyone who likes teddy bears and rainbows.
  11. Prisoners Not quite as awesome as reviews are saying it is. It's good, tho, don't get me wrong. I guess part of my problem is I found Hugh Jackman's chr. to be an extremely unlikable/unsympathetic chr, even if you understand where he's coming from. Perhaps that was part of the point (not necessarily to be unlikable, but to provoke a reaction) and for that I do give it points. Jake Gyllenhaal was low-key but quite a nice role for him I think. I saw the surprise end coming a mile away but it was done well. Overall a well done, thought provoking (or horrifying) moral dilemma film that is a nice getaway from the usual movie fluff, but I won't be watching it again.
  12. Yeah, that one upside down weird room spot in that dungeon is pretty cool. I haven't done everything in the new module yet...it took me a long time to do Sharandar/got used to running all the dailies (I use them to level companions now) and I expect it'll be the same for module 2. Don't really need the marks so in no hurry.
  13. Mental blarghs. Think I'll watch a sci-fi action movie to get my brain revved up. You haven't visited Ceti Alpha V recently, have you? ...hope it unclogs after a nights rest.
  14. I think most people use Diablo because they know 98% of the gaming population will know the reference.
  15. Mr. Black largely reserves those moments for when we're asleep, which is why we only find hairball puke upon waking up. With pets, one never knows what discoveries you'll find in the morning!
  16. Catching air ... (you can land almost on the other side of the lake sometimes)
  17. Btw, Keyrock - I'm going to end up with something like 10 Mimics so if you wanted a 2nd one (and the mid-Festival doesn't let you get more than one, in some fashion) for an alt let me know. Fishing for a 2nd fawn is going pretty slow. I spend more time jumping off the sled-ramp over the lake than fishing, lately.
  18. So don't do the mega dungeon if you don't like the way it ends up. IIRC it was stretch goals that made it get to that many levels. I'd rather they focus story-aspects on the main plot/game and am fine if the mega dungeon is basically a long 'dungeon crawl' for some phat lewt. Also, Diablo doesn't have self-party options. But IWD was largely about combat vs. story. And I like the pause. When I used it. I didn't always.
  19. I had contemplated attempting just that some days ago. But ... I is lazy. If they double the Light rewards like they did with the petals in summer, getting one fawn should be no problem for most players. I'm sorta counting on that to let me get multiple fawns without spending more than 2-3 hrs a day or so. Calender says rewards increase, but not sure if actually doubled. Most likely tho.
  20. I had a music-use flag once that wasn't legit and I challenged it and won. Have they changed something? I mean, I know challenging doesn't always work if YT/copy holders don't agree with your challenge, and it sometimes takes a long time for them to get around to it and likely won't go your way in a lot of cases...but is there something where in these gaming instances, one can't challenge at all now?
  21. Goofing off on a Sunday. Par for the course. Memory foam mattress pads are the awesome for a bed. I've had the ones that are 2" thick. A good one (there's a lot of not-so-good ones) can last a very long time too.
  22. I'm constantly amazed how many people don't understand the concept of a 24 hour Daily reset timer, even after you tell them about it. "But it said 8 hours when I did it, so you can do it 3 times a day!" Purple fishing rod+blue bait = 150-250 Lights a day. After getting the first fawn, I'm mellow about it. Still going to try for 3 at least tho. They rock as companions. Regen value can be very high. Much better/more useful than the summer's pig pet...especially if you're a non-Cleric class I'd imagine. Oh and Keyrock - your Xmas avatar is the bomb.
  23. I don't mind/wouldn't be surprised with small post-release patches that address anything that seems really out of whack as people report stuff. That seems a fairly par for the course expectation. That said, don't know about such updating as being some kind of serious regular aspect. Would depend on what they have going/what kind of time I suppose. Might be something better left to modders later.
