  1. No. Well, some may. But sports? Not really a patriotic thing (where I am). Just a fan-thing.
  2. "This Is Where I Leave You." ...because, Jason Bateman. Also, hubby wanted a lighter fare film. Family drama with sporadic comedy bits type movie. Bateman does great in his usual everyman role and Jane Fonda was pretty funny. Not the best film of its type I've seen and fairly predictable, but the actors make it charming enough.
  3. Galavant is a silly show This you already know About a guy named Galavant. A foppish doltish King Who yes can dance and sing Does steal the girl from Galavant. Catchy songs and tunes Jokes to fill the rooms Get back up again oh Galavant. Witty! Plus a good night's worth of TeeVee value This show just ma-ayy grow on you-oo. Yet, it's really hard to say If I'll watch it every day This new show they call Galavant. As entertaining as it was It's all a little much, and could get a little weary-ing. But King's scenes were pretty great Lead actor has a pretty face And they sure all can cadence sing "Gal--a--vanttttt."
  4. Looking for those 10 pounds I lost so ordered a pizza and am going to watch Galavant and maybe a movie. At least that's the plan. I might get distracted again.
  5. I remember that one. When I was 16 in the mid-80's, it seemed pretty awesome. Not that I thought it was the best even then, but hey, it was sci-fi/fantasy-ish, so I dug it.
  6. Combo of gaming, holiday, and insomnia = sleeping schedule that is really messed up. I mean, I'm usually a late-night person as it is, but this is getting silly even for me (in that it's lasting so long/I can't break it). It's funny how even if you get enough sleep hours-wise, when it's gained at weird times (for you personally), it doesn't feel the same at all. I'm all discombobulated. And Gorth, that sounds like something I might do.
  7. Wait...I just noticed the posting date of that video. If that was near the interview date, then not the one I was thinking of. Oh well, doesn't really matter. I think it's been said often enough that there won't be specific romances written for PoE. Whether that means "never ever" ... for example, if there's a sequel ... who can say. But not in the first one.
  8. Yeah, I think that was the one. Oh and my comment was in response to Edvin's querry re: "It is 100% sure that they will never be any romance?"
  9. I'm sure my husband would love that cheddar. I'd get him a few ounces if I could.
  10. It's winter, which means when I'm lazy, I'm the occasional master of Top Ramen ("Oriental" flavor is the most neutral), because for some reason I still don't like canned soups. It's that canned flavor, yeech. The secret is you have to let it sit a while, so the noodles get soft instead of having that dried cheap noodle texture. Plus add a bit of leftover meat, mushrooms/vegies, peppers and other spices (I only use half the "flavor packet" that comes with, it's too salty otherwise). So bring to a boil, simmer for 3-5 minutes, turn off heat, let it sit in the pot with lid on for another 10 minutes. My husband actually eats my Top Ramen and he usually hates instant soup/noodle stuff. Go figure. But mostly, I just buy the wonton soup from the local Chinese place.
  11. I seem to recall that at some point there were some interviews or questions responded to that essentially = "no, no romances in PoE" but it was so long ago I don't remember exactly, and I'm too lazy to search the many multitudes of previous romance threads (and there were many many) for it.
  12. What? Target was targeted by another petition, some 10,000 signatures long demanding they pull the advertising and apologize for having a white girl modelling an Annie inspired clothing line. To put it in perspective, I believe there were some previous ads or marketing with a black Annie, and the hubbub is that they changed it to a white Annie again, negating the message. Still..petitions for ad-pulling and apologies seem a bit over reactionary.
  13. If I hadn't yet played Skyrim at all, I might be more impressed. You can get nice landscapes in the game (especially with mods I'd guess) but meh...it's not as cool seeming when actually running around, for some reason.
  14. The funniest part is I've now figured out how to reproduce leaving the normal boundaries of the game, at will. Some oddball glitch with view angles and tossing around materials. Sadly, the biggest caverns I've dug for checking out their outer shapes are long gone. I'll have to do another.
  15. I remember hoping Voyager would be a return to spacefaring Trek after DS9 (which I could never get into for multiple reasons)...I watched maybe half a season. I didn't really dislike it, but it didn't make me want to keep watching, either. Although iirc I did like the virtual doctor guy. He was funny. Janeway was just meh. Actually she reminded me a bit of Kate Hepburn in her older years, if Hepburn in her older years had looked a bit younger. Yeah...I totally made sense there... Then again, maybe it was just Janeway's hair.
  16. Being a spiritual successor doesn't mean exactly the same. They're keeping the atmosphere and general gameplay/workings/looks of the BG-type games while also taking the opportunity to try to improve or advance some stuff. As great as those past games were, they weren't without faults and maybe with hindsight some things can be improved/better. I can understand why some folks have reservations about some of the changes, but maybe an open mind isn't a bad idea. eg, let's try it before jumping to conclusions that it'll ruin the game, simply because it's not what you're used to seeing in the older games. ...personally, I don't really need the xp-grind. I'm used to that, sure, but I don't need it, if what takes its place works just as well. We shall see.
  17. Same...New Vegas was really the last one I did. I've tried a few since then, but it never lasts for long.
  18. Yeah...I find myself more and more going back to sandbox-y type games. No quest/chr. decisions, no goals except what you set for yourself sandbox-play wise. I find that sort of gaming freedom relaxing. Actually I'm a little worried now that Pillars of Eternity will come out and I'll let it just sit on the "shelf" a long time before getting around to it ...
  19. A while back I did end up buying one of those pedal-only thingies (where you can use it sitting in a chair or on a couch...). I was pretty doubtful about such, but it actually works really well, kind of like a recumbent bike position, and takes up hardly any space (important). It's not for intense workouts, haha, but it's been good for my arthritic knees, which were getting really bad a year ago. Was having a hard time going down stairs/downhill etc. and were often swollen to a point it was gimpy going to even walk across the living room at times. Anyway, I've been using for 30-60min. every other day and while at first it hurt like a mofo, over time it really helped - they don't flare up as often and I can go for walks again and downhill/stairs aren't quite so frightening. So I'm pretty happy about that. I won't ever be doing any high-impact/stress stuff again probably, but for the moment it'll do. This year I'm hoping to increase length/time of hiking and maybe, if I'm lucky, get back on a real bicycle again this summer.
  20. It's a game forum, so, hey. ...my cousins were always into things like knitting and crochet. Not my thing. I stick to games, cats, and TV. Or just sitting in front of a roaring real-wood fire, when I had a fireplace that wasn't covered by a giant TV. Used to read a lot, but I find that less enjoyable as I either need reading glasses when I have contact lenses in or need bifocals when I have glasses on (I can read if neither glasses or contacts are on, but then I can't see distance...).
  21. Houston, I think we have a problem. (swung a pickaxe, fell through the world, kept dropping and dropping in freefall. Had to use a fly-cheat to get back up, heh) So that's what my mine currently looks like. Fascinating.
  22. That's hilarious. And good for him. *looks up series* ...wait a minute. A "fairy tale-themed musical comedy?" Is he going to sing? This could either be fantastic or a complete mess. Funny guest star cast. I may have to check it out, if only to snicker.
  23. Fishing in the toilet? I hope anyone doing that is doing catch n release, cause you sure don't want to be eating anything from there.
  24. This morning, for some reason, I've been idly wondering how some superheros ("superhuman" powered) stay so mega-muscularly buff all the time. I mean, they don't seem governed by the same laws of physics as us normal folk, so what is building up all that visible muscle? 800-ton barbells? Is flying or running at sonic speeds with seemingly zero effort and not even a slight sweat a good workout?
  25. Finally got around to watching the last pre-holiday episode of Supernatural...the one bout Castiel and Novak's kid. It was ok. I like Cas better when he's not being all guilt-ridden and angsty. Avenging angel mode is also a bit hotter. Was the Dean-ending supposed to be cliffhangerish, because it didn't leave me in any suspense. I think we all saw that coming. But I can't wait for Cain to show up again. You know he's going to.
