  1. At least you approach this minor annoyance sensibly. There are quite a few people who are claiming it makes the game unplayable, and I've even seen a Steam review from someone who played the game for 15 minutes and then quit listing only "You cannot walk". I don't even notice it to be honest, maybe it's just me, but I spend next to no time actually looking at my characters
  2. I added "-popupwindow" in the PoE steam launch options, I still pause when I alt-tab. So it isn't working. You dont need to use the "-popupwindow" launch option... just untick the Fullscreen option in the graphics menu and the game will run in borderless window by default and without pause if you alt tab. That doesn't work right when the selected resolution and refresh rate match your original desktop resolution. I found that out streaming the game, I get massive latency spikes every 2 frames in fullscreen mode, which prevents me from streaming 3840x2160 60 Hz (my desktop resolution). I have to use either 4096x2160 or some non-4K resolution to work around that.
  3. People *sometimes* tend to have a diffrent perspective. Just finding it hilarious doesn't really justify someone as right. Mockery is also dubious. In cases like this it only marks one dim for the others. So, you're telling me you're not kidding? You honestly believe that the lack of walking in this game makes it unplayable? That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard, I was assuming you were joking originally.
  4. ROTFLMAO, I'm sorry... but some of you have got to be kidding. You're not playing the game because you can't walk? You can hit S to slow time down, and that's just as good. There's a "Not Suggested" review on Steam right now of someone who played the game for 0.3 hours and then quit because he couldn't walk. This whole thing is absolutely hilarious, surely I'm not the only person who sees this? Oh, and for bonus points, if you want to walk slower than a snail, press S and Alt. Problem solved
  5. Even though the disc version is DRM free, that's not a license to pirate the game. You still only have 1 software license, which you would do well to respect. As a software engineer myself, I have a real problem with the mentality that DRM free is tantamount to "please copy this floppy."
  6. This didn't happen for me I pledged for the $140 Collector's Edition (through PayPal because I despise Kickstarter), but my "Products" page only lists "Kickstarter Royal Edition". It'd be nice to have a hero edition key so I could get my friend up and playing the game before the box ships (which says "Pending" under shipping status, whatever that means).
  7. I'm not exactly sure what this status means. Did I make a bad choice when selecting T-Shirt size in the survey? I wanted something that would fit, so I chose small, but I know from other similar promotions that you usually go on backorder unless you choose a more common size like Large or Medium. I was hoping to distribute my disc-based copy of the game to a friend when it arrives, but I can't really give them any sort of estimate on when this is going to happen because "pending" is incredibly vague
  8. Really? Did you only do that for the Kickstarter backers? I bought the boxed CE and I'm not seeing that. It'd be pretty damn cool though, I could get my friend up and playing the game today instead of waiting who knows how long for the disc to arrive in the mail.
  9. This whole survey thing was a terrible, terrible idea all around. Obsidian already had my name from my shipping and billing information, they could have simply used that in-lieu of whatever this magical unannounced cutoff date was.
  10. My name's not in either the game's credits or the strategy guide, I'm really bummed out. Obsidian should sign my collector's edition copy as a consolation
  11. No, you shouldn't expect two keys. Then you would have three copies of the game. They gave you a key to redeem already, that's your digital copy. The physical copy will arrive whenever
  12. It's pretty much a no-brainer, since I have a DRM free physical disc-based copy that will arrive sometime this century, Steam is the platform I would want my digital copy on. Achievements, cloud storage, pre-load, it all just works beautifully with Steam and the only price you pay is an Internet connection once every 2 weeks to validate your software license.
  13. I kind of hope Obsidian does not read too much into this I, like the majority of other people polled, did not express interest in said feature. But that's no reason for something like that to be scrapped, I think we're better off having it even if I'll probably never use it.
  14. Just redeemed my Royal Purple Oil Change Steam code, huzah!
  15. Boooo, it used to say Beta Backer under Products, now it just says "No Products"
  16. What? Amazon can't delay a game release. And they didn't delay it to April 27th. They certainly did screw up preorders, though. I'm not the only one that didn't get their "guaranteed release date delivery" today. Though when I called and complained, I did get a free month of Prime. They absolutely can delay a game release. If you order it, and they don't ship it for 1 extra month, they delayed the game's release. After I contacted customer support and they said it would be shipped to me on the 27th (of April, not March), I said fsck it all to hell and cancelled the order. I'm just going to skip that game, I'd really not wait an extra month. The alternative would be to pay a scalper $140+ for a collector's edition and not wait the extra month, but I don't care about the game enough for that. I'm not saying that it isn't crappy. And I understand you are angry. I spent the last 9 hours being angry. I called Amazon three times today, and UPS once. But them screwing you over has nothing to do with the game's release. The game's release is today, even though Amazon screwed up for you. I don't know your financial situation or whatever but the game is available via other vendors starting today. Hence, it's totally, well, weird to categorize Amazon's flub as "Amazon delaying a game release." It's totally mischaracterizing what they did. And in fact, you'd be better served just calling it what it is - Amazon royally screwing up - rather than what it isn't. No, this is an endemic problem not limited to Amazon. The collector's edition has been delayed for virtually every vendor. It's not Amazon's fault at all, but if you ordered it from Amazon you definitely fall into the category of people affected by the delay.
  17. Well Bloodborne is a videogame and not a pc game and therefor not interesting to me. Sorry but i have been pc gaming since like 1990. For me it does not qualify as a RPG. For that matter the Witcher 3 does not too, Controller recommended in a rpg? A set main character i cannot create myself ? Sorry don't see any appeal in that. But yeah its much more rpg than an action game as Bloodborne, so it should not affect pillars as its released on a very limited and inferior platform only. I feel really sorry for you that you feel that way But that is the mentality that PC gamers are known for - it's not on PC, therefore it's not worth my time. We've gotta change that, or people will think we're all a bunch of elitist douches.

  19. The strategy guide has shipped from Amazon, but no game or key yet. With my luck it'll probably be a 1 month extra wait, just like it was with Bloodborne - I won't be getting that until April 27th because it was delayed.
  20. I hate to say it, but that's pretty much how any Action RPG works \ Risen did things a little differently by making timing so important and giving little to no visual feedback, and people complained incessantly about that. The Witcher had a little bit of tactical feel to it, about as much as you could expect from non-turn-based gameplay, but it's really quite shallow in the end.
  21. It's not, really. Amazon delayed Bloodborne until April 27th. I cancelled my order after they did that, I'm just going to pass on that game altogether I think.
  22. Hopefully it'll be soon, they haven't even shipped the physical games yet. If you only backed a tier that netted you a physical copy and not a digital+physical (e.g. collector's edition), it looks like you're going to be screwed.
