Agreed. It is quite stupid. Also when there is a good modern C&C game, like Alpha Protocol, old school nerds shun it since it isn't low-tech enough, not sporting a pitiful isometric engine or other archaic features. It's a wonder how and why a company like Obsidian even exists these days.

Wait.. I thought Kickstarter was supposed to prevent the release of partially completed games. It seems there's no evil publisher to blame anymore - what's a gamer to do?

I've just installed it. I'll try it out within the next fews days. This is the only Kickstarter game that I backed, solely due to Brian and his work from Bloodlines, and I must say, they had me at friggin' chicken.

Lol no it wasn't. Innovative/creative story elements/design. If only the tr00 rPg KiKcStArTeR gAmEz of today had an ounce of the creativity Stick of Truth had would I actually bother to back them.

Stick of Truth - More innovative/entertaining than most games. I can only imagine the hype it would've received if it were an isometric game with a worn out setting. Yikes.

Funnily enough, that's the attitude that drove many Kickstarters. The games were made just as much in protest to modern gaming as anything else and they promised nothing more than to be a shell of nostalgia.

It's always nice to get FP view when possible. I'm not big on Rockstar games as they always fail to come close to reaching any sort of potential but it looks like I'll be getting GTA 5 when prices drop for sure.

Oh no, and then it is even the weakest Fallout game. Well, if you rule out Fo3 that is. It's funner simply walking around in FO3 than trying to play FO1. You can't even walk without mouse clicking in that game. Wtf?

It's buggy, unpolished and feels kind of cheap? If you just follow the main story, you can easily beat it within a week. But there isn't much reason to play it if you don't like it as the game is pretty much an add on, set in the same location save for the added Swamp map, faction play and gear mods. The end game will also leave you scratching your head as it's quite poorly done.

Finished Bioshock Infinite. Not bad/not great. As expected, the people hating on it at release did so as backlash to the rave reviews more than anything. It's not as good as the first two installments, simply due to the era it's set in. The way the game wrapped up the trilogy was about as good as one can expect in a game, though somewhat self indulgent. Now onto the DLC, back to the era where Bioshock belongs..

SR3 just felt like Just Cause 2 with an actual story and bigger variety of the samey missions, and I hated JC2. Not saying it's horrible, but definitely something I'm not into anymore. That's not the point. It is easy but it's more like, why is that even in a game? It's not fun. Doing it once was more than enough.

Still sounds about as much fun as the insurance fraud mechanic. I just can't get into sandbox games anymore but obviously a lot of people still like them.

The only Saints Row game I played was the 3rd and it's just another jack of all trades open world game that quickly becomes uninteresting after the start of it. I finished the game but will never play another, which seems to be my attitude towards most games these days.

Really? Have you ever played Max Payne 3? Please don't. That game screwed up my eyes for an entire night. The whole game was based around this stylized disoriented bs, and that ruined the little fun I expected to get out of it. Game designers just fail so hard when trying something new, it's no wonder every genre spits out the same game ad nauseam.

No intentions of ever playing Wasteland 2. I can't believe people still like this sort of game. Bleh. Doubtful I'll play PoE either, unless it's really, really good, and even then I'm not sure. Dragon Age, never had interest in this series, but with that engine, the game could be decent.. still not sure I'll ever get it.

Stick of Truth is such fun. Obsidian nailed this game like a **** in Mr Slave. This might even be the best game made by Obsidian, all things considered.

Just keep telling yourself that and maybe it'll come tr00fles.

Got Stick of Truth the other day. As expected, good fun and I'm just at the beginning. Hilarious, the lack of buzz this game got just because it's not set in typical/overdone post apocalyptic/space/futuristic/high fantasy environment. Hope Obsidian's able to do more non-traditional Rpgs in the future. So much more fun and creative.

AP wasn't particularly well integrated on the PC either - just something you have to live with. Give up full PC integration or give up the gave completely I guess. Though as others have stated in regards to the 30fps lock, I'm not sure why you'd need to play this game at 60fps even if it looked right.

Lol.. it just sounds like some general lame complaints. Like saying FNV is a bugfest and "shorter than I thought" - it really holds no worth. Gaming "reviews" are so opinionated they're completely worthless.

I'm the opposite. Top down RPG's are fruity and counterintuitive and can't hold my attention - only Torment was able to bring a level of interest due to writing/environment. I have more fun just walking around in ES than I do in playing nearly all isometric RPGs.
