  4. Why not just compromise. Make the NPCs appear to be doing things. Mainly fiddling with consoles but not moving all over the ship. And of course droids can stand there like zombies.
  5. B) (Has the originals on tape.)
  6. Are you calling the PC some shmoe?
  7. Reread his post better. He was talking about the forums.
  8. Yes there is a cap it's just higher than 20. It just has to do with number of posts.
  9. Ahhhhh. I don't have EGM. But screenshots this early really mean nothing. They use all kinds of placeholders and test stuff by doing crazy things like making NPCs 12th level Marauders(prestige level) with no levels before it. I think she looks old because she is old. But she could be a Sith. That could be the big twist. Don't know enough to argue either way.
  10. I thought she was wearing a brown robe? (Runs off to check)
  11. Nah. What they should do is for every light point gained the DS action should give 4 or 5. So when they find a missing child and return them for no reward they get lets say 4 LS points. But if they were to have done that same quest but demanded a reward or something they'd get 16 DS points. That's not really make the DS more 'seductive' though. <_< No but it does make slipping easier and reflects the fact that it is easier to gain a bad reputation than good and is also a lot quicker to fall to the dark side than to redeem yourself. The seduction part comes in getting a good amount of credits while good players only get LS points. I still think creating dialogue options that reflect the characters alignment is the way to go. The LS should be hard to follow and easy to fall from, but the LS should be somewhat rewarding if you reach the top of the LS/DS scale. On the other had you could have DSers being superior to the way of the Light, until they LS character reaches high levels of LS points making them more resistant to the temptations of evil. I've had to argue just about a million times that limiting dialogue options is a horrible way to reflect anything LS or DS. It's unrealistic, horrible for people that actually like to RP and a waste of dev time since it'd be tricky to implement and contribute nothing. Especially since there are a million easier ways to make DS more rewarding and easier to become including but not limited to giving more DS than LS points out and making playing LS hard by giving smaller rewards and giving DS points for stealing from innocents. Oh and the worst thing you can do is make high level LSers more resistant to the DS. Having a godly amount of power at your fingertips can only make the DS harder to ignore and it is quite clear that anyone can fall to the Dark Side. Dooku was a powerful Jedi Master but he still succumbed to the dark side.
  12. A novel isn't aimed at two people Chemix. No I am making XP rely solely on completion of quests. How you choose to fulfill those quests is up to you. My "Way" is anything that is not overtly violent unless you want the DS points. Combat is still available to you but gives you no more benefits than using skills to get around does. Why would he need to run to an alarm????? The comlink is right inside his helmet. You can portray it harshly in the game and it should be portrayed the way it is always portrayed in SW. LS is hard.
  13. The purpose of that station is to get good deals on the stuff you sell and to buy some really kewl items.
  14. No no. Atton Rand is in KOTOR 2. Peragus Mining Station is the first level of KOTOR 2 and Atton Rand one of the first NPCs you'll pick up.
  15. I also advocated massive amounts more damage from mines. Or the door trap can be a special electric field that seriously f's you up. Also said the alarm should spawn in extra enemies that give no XPs and no items. Also suggested making combat difficult in KOTOR 2 unlike KOTOR1. There was also a lot of debate on whether or not force heal should be nerfed but nothing decisive.
  16. They were very subtle and you had to start most of those conversations with your party members. Just as kewl as the romances though was learning from Dakkon then surpassing him and then teaching him! Something like that in KOTOR 2 would be great. Give me an apprentice dang it! Gosh, we'll be many levels stronger than Yoda and not ever train one dumb padawan.
  17. One of the first NPCs you get on Peragus Mining Station. (The first level) He's a scoundrel and for some reason already hated by practically everyone. I'll wait to reserve judgement on him.
  18. I guess you are referring to me since I started a thread on skills and suggested the keypad idea. But I never said destroying the keypad should open the door. I said using your lightsaber to open the door should set off an alarm and/or a trap because there should be keypads in military installations. Destroying the keypad should have the same result but not open the door and you'll have to "bash" it open afterwards since you obviously can't use security on a ruined keypad. I said lightsabers were the perfect key so they needed to introduce some features that would stop people from using it to open everything. Oh and good luck getting into the industry,

  20. Kewl yes. But never going to happen. I'll settle for upgrading my swoop bike. Hey that's a vehicle.

  22. Just like a novel some people will enjoy a game and some people won't. I'm sorry if you don't want to be DS just because you don't play it the way an LS Jedi would BUT that's the way it works. Or should work. I have varied interests too. I own Half-Life and I own BG. I expect two very different experiences from them. From the former I expect fairly shallow stories and characters with lots of fun challenging combat. But from the latter I am looking for a strong story, a PC I create, repercussions in dialogue, quests, rewards etc. for what I do Blah Blah you get the idea. If you havent played RPGs much before why not take the word of people that have probably played way too many and see how you like playing a game with intelligent gameplay and difficult moral choices. I am not saying you need to stealth every time every where. Ive already said many times there is a time and a place for combat but for LS Jedi combat is to be avoided. Jedi aren't warriors. I know they are at war but they do not seek out situations where they are forced to kill. This is why they have so many powers. The lightsaber is supposed to be the last resort. Ive already said that you should get some DS points for being so bloodthirsty HOWEVER I also accepted this would probably be hard to show in a CRPG. So I would settle for repercussions for not playing it smart. LIKE ALARMS that spawn in a whole lot of enemies with no XP or items gained from killing them. So there. No DS points. Now you are encouraged to play it smart but you can still remain LS even if you don't. Oh by the way stop saying stealth belt. My very first post says how the belt should be gotten rid of.
