  1. I love the Concept of a Shapeshifted focused Druid, Though, I wonder, do we really need all 5 Transformations ? What's your opinion on the Subclass ? I'd rather choose & Focused my Gameplay on One Form rather than having all five personnaly. Moreover, in my mind, going into a Shifter focused Class, I kind of don't want to rely on "Magic Spells", you know. Developp my Character more on the Passive side of the Ability Tree, where in that case, lacks for some more Passive Options to choose for. I don't really like Leveling up & being forced to choose a Magic Spell, that I don't wanna rely on because of the Nature of my Class, because there's no more Passive Options left to choose from... So here's the thing regardind the Shifter Subclass : I'd like Josh & Devs to take kind of the same approach towards this Subclass. More Options : When Shifted - A variety of Active Abilities if you're aiming at an Active "Micro-Management" Playstyle. And Options to be Passive. Natural Tankiness [skin Upgrade], Regenerating Over-Time [similar to the Fighter Recovery], DPS oriented Passives [upgraded Claws, Auto-Leap when switching target (1 meter range)], Etc. Lol I don't know, just iterating here. I know it kinda implies they'd sort of have to create custom Ability Trees for Forms but, wouldn't it be worth... Anyway, for now I guess my main concern is to be forced to choose a Magic Spell, when I don't want to. I imagine i could try to Multiclass a Shifter with a Fighter [unbroken if I wanna Tank], but I don't want the penalty of Lower Power-Level, Etc. EDIT : Even when Multiclassed, still forced to choose a Magic Spell at some point. [Hint : Any Form + Monk's "Swift Strikes" = Shred your way through Ennemies.] Dedicated Shifted Druid that can Access the highest potential of its Class, Passively or Actively. Also, I'm a Shifter, shouldn't I be able to "Toggle" ? And comeback to my Form ? It shouldn't be regarded as a Consumable thing that is lost because you used it... I'm a Shifter, I'm a Master at it.
  2. Made a Quick Search but seems to haven't been mentionned. Put on a Hat > Choose to Hide it > then your Character is bald.As if the hat was still there (since we're automatically bald in that case). But the intention behind the Hiding Feature is to have Hair displayed back, right ? Anyway, just adding this to your small 20k+ Bug List. Good Luck Guys !
  3. Yeah, I made a quick search aswell, but I thought I'd post that particular Situation. What's weird is that NPCs actually take Damage from somewhere only God knows about, while you're knocked down. Rogue Riposte Ability maybe ?...
  4. https://twitter.com/TheDexGames/status/938596749505126406 Sorry I couldn't manage to Embed my Tweet [Didn't Work]. But basically, you can aggro an entire Village, like Tikawara, & probably the whole City of Neketaka, & everyone will die... You can recreate this anytime : Keep 4 of you Party Members safe next to your Ship. With one Character, Aggro / Kill someone (Run accross the Village to aggro everyone). Let them Knock you down (One Injury) They'll continue Attacking & Kill themselves over your Dead Body. When everybody's dead, Combat ends, you "wake up" (with one injury), Loot everything & CYA NERDS ! Ahah :')
  5. [Twitter Top Tendency earlier today] This guy died today... How the hell a guy that has sold over 110 MILLIONS RECORDS has been virtually unknown overseas ? Thats crazy... Such a Powerful Voice, damn
  6. Sounds Ok, would prefer 5 Ranks overall. Only Fighters allowed to Rank 5 seems quite restrictive though. A Defensive Focused Paladin should be able to acces a Lvl 5 Shields Proficiency for exemple. As a Rogue should be allowed to acces Lvl 5 Dagger / Stylettos / Pistols... Maybe no restrictions at all, for any class, as long as you invest in it. Instead of a new active ability, or passive one... It a trade-off choice you'd make. As Bhaltazar said, I also meant a bonus to Accuracy when Ranking Up in a said Weapon, even a slight Bonus. As for Modal, make it Evolve / Ranks up ? Rank 5 sounds too complicated for me. And I only think Fighters should get access to the highest level because their passive abilities will be shared in generic pool in next patch. So it's fair for them to grant some advantage in weapon proficiency imo. Talking about bonus to weapon of proficiency, there is already an ability called Weapon Focus that serves the purpose. And people are talking about the penalty of the modal is too much to use, so reduce penalty when one have higher level in weapon proficiency seems better to me. I see your point, & I'd be totally ok with it, if that's what would be chosen in the end. But still, Proficiency System needs to be Way Deeper than "Pick One & Done". A sense of Evolution is missing...

A Defensive Focused Paladin should be able to acces a Lvl 5 Shields Proficiency for exemple. As a Rogue should be allowed to acces Lvl 5 Dagger / Stylettos / Pistols... Or the melee Wizard summoning weapons (which was awesome to play btw), could specialze in Quaterstaff / Etc. Maybe no restrictions at all, (regarding Max Rank) for any class, as long as you invest in it. Instead of a new active ability, or passive one... It's a trade-off choice you'd make. As Bhaltazar said, I also meant a bonus to Accuracy when Ranking Up in any given Weapon, even a slight Bonus. As for Modal, make it Evolve / Ranks up looks also great.
  8. I'm a little disappointed, no offense of course : Regarding the Glorious comeback of Weapon Proficiency, when they annouunced it, I was really exited & looked forward to it. In addition to that, I was LOGICALLY expecting the Traditional System of "Ranks" within it. Instead, you get to choose a weapon, & there you go, you're an Expert... I was really expecting to Evolve all my Characters, From : Novice = Shooting at my own testicle while aiming at a Ennemy with my Gun. To GrandMaster = Where I get to accurately aim at an Ennemy Testicle. (Sorry, I had to find something to illustrate my point... ) I find it overwhelming that at Level 5 (Only Lvl 5 !), I'm already proficient in 3 Categories of Weapons / Shields / Etc... What should we expect for Level 20 ? EACH Character of the party, Proficient in 12+ Categories ? With 12+ Modals ? It makes no sense at all to me, I really don't dig that... Aside from the fact that probably no one, will switch between all these Modals over the course of One Single Fight... When I think about weapon proficiency, I expect to choose One / Two Weapons, Three would be the Absolute Maximum, & even then, I don't think I'd want three... I wanna choose something that fit the Playstyle I'm aiming at, with a particular Character, Specialize him, Stick to it & get Better at it. If I made a mistake, or want to change over the course of the Game : Inn > Respec > Happy.
  9. I have a really dumb interrogation... First : Huge shout out to the Team(s) trying to balance the Game. Good Job to the Community aswell for their reports ! Second : On that Subject though, Deadfire looks like a Big Giant Pain in the *ss to balance for the poor Devs & QA Testers. I really wonder why everything has been so unbalanced from Pillars I to Deadfire. I mean, did you guys had to recreate all the rules, stats, spells & other stuff from zero ? Or did you get into this from a "good" starting point ? Like : Did you came into Deadfire with the lastest 3.0 Patch (3.04 I think) from Pillars I, where everything was "Relatively Well Balanced" ? So Pillars II would just need some adjustments to fit its new systems ? Its weird lol, because from the outside, Pillars I & Deadfire are, generally speaking, kind of the "Same Game". But it seems that just because it's named "Deadfire", all of the hard work that has been made in the past, balance wise, has been shifted, torn apart & thrown into a Giant Mess of Bugs (15k - 20k Reported Bugs so far). Gosh, I pity you... Good Luck on that Journey !
  10. Good Stuff : + Everything that makes POE be POE ! + The look & feel is back & better than ever ! + Dimitri made incredible Hair Styles ! + World Map ! (Can't visit the Defiant in the Beta ?) Not so Good Stuff : - Stars for Recommended Stats are easily missable - Culture Point isn't added/removed in Character Creation (at the Bottom Résumé) - You have to click on + ou - to get a description, (can't click on Wisdom or others), I know "Mouseover" works but I'm clicking as a reflex. - Shadows are kinda Pixel Art (no offense, probably WIP) - Lots of Tool Tips doesn't show up - When Leveling up : Do I have points to spent ? If so, how much ? Where do they appear ? (On Active Abilities screen, not clear.) - Druid : Lvl 2 Spells doesn't show up In Game (UI doesn't deploy itself for that Spell Lvl) - EMPOWERED : What does it Empower ? How am I supposed to know ? It is not clear (need description /w Stats). Should I empowered this over this over myself ? - Recovery (but it has been adressed) Just a round of stuff I've noticed ! I'm enjoying it !
  11. Josh is a funny guy : "You'll have access to a "Reaaally" Small Area of the World Map in the Backer Beta..." Ahahah !
  12. But, but.... Tomorrow is already "Today" here ! ...
  13. tune in tomorrow at : twitch.tv/obsidian for Announcement !
  14. TOMORROWWWWWWWW !!! Tune In at : twitch.tv/obsidian Around "4 PM" (PST) Around "1 AM" in EU (in France at least).
  15. No no, just picked it from the Steam page, (pure Copy - Paste). Also, I've Edited the Original Post, touching on the First Game.

EDIT : I just checked, for Pillars I - You needed to Download about 12 GB (11,9 specificaly), but Disk Space Required was about 25 ~ 26 GB. I don't know if it takes The White March - Part I & II, into account though... Anyway, this "14 GB Free Space" information may just be the "Download of the Game" (Could even just be an estimation, & is not accurate at all). So who knows what Deadfire's full size will be in the end. So many Questions... Is this the week we'll hear about the Backer Beta ? Surely hope it is.
  17. I agree on your second point, maybe it's a concious decision. Not sure if I understood correctly your first point though... You mean, if an Ennemy Fighter comes to you (as a Wizard), but your still using Ranged Attacks, right ? In that case, it is also very odd that an Archer shoots arrows at an ennemy that is upclose to him, instead of planting an arrow in his eye socket... But that's still in the Game, so I don't think that's relevant here. But I got your point.
  18. Oh ok, I struggled finding the correct words to describe the difference... But Eh, you got it !
  19. Absolutely ! Note : I said "Two-Handed", but in Deadfire you can wear a Staff & a Dagger (or anything else) at the same time so... (doesn't really matter) But yeah, my point is mostly about the lack of "Ranged Magical Staff" in general... like that M*th**F***ing Gandalf you know...
  20. Hi Everyone ! [& Devs included, if you're coming by ! ] Josh was recenty talking about Quarterstaffs & I wanted to talk about Magic Staffs (in D&D type of Game). For 20+ Years now, we've always had those "Two-Handed Melee only Staffs". Moreover, most of them where somehow, kinda Sh**ty in my opinion. But here's the thing, we've never had Big "Ranged" Magic Staffs, that shoots Magic Bolts of whatever you want (Let's say Minelotta's type of projectiles, would be a perfect exemple for that). Pillars Of Eternity was the perfect Game, & perfect Setting (with Archmages being around & quite common in Eora), to finally introduce this ! But it's not here, & I think it lacks a lot. It would bring more Diversity, Unique Playstyle, Unique Visual Animations, Awesome Epic Loots for Mages (Unique Skins for big Archmages fights), diverse types of damage, (just random guessing here but for exemple : Ice, Corrosion, Fire, etc). Instead we continue to get these Short unappealing Sticks, Wands, Rods, or whatever they're called. I have to insist on "Unappealing" because... Really, these things are not that cool. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From a Visual standpoint only, it would feel more Rewarding, & especially "SATISFYING", to see Aloth (or PC) wearing one awesome Magic Two-Handed Ranged Staff, instead of those Sushy-Grabber Sticks we're always getting. Plus, I'd assume it would be wayyy easier for a developper to make a Gorgeous Unique looking Skin for a Big Magic Staff, than it is to make one for a Short Wand that we can barely see In-Game anyway. I'm really wondering why bother making unique visuals for Sticks, that we can't see most of the time In-Game. But anyway... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I asked Josh about this & (Thanks to him), he responded : But again, "Rods" translate as Short Wands (Baguette Magique) to me, like, something small. I don't know if you get the difference I'm pointing at, between : Une "Baguette Magique" & Un "Bâton Magique" So, there you go, I think Ranged Magic Staff lacks a lot, & are very interesting. In terms of : Mechanics it can bring. Auto-Attacks Animations (you can create really Stylished Moves & Cool Projectiles). Probably Easier to work with, when it comes to create Unique Skins. Are Visually, a lot more Satisfying & Rewarding to wear on a Character. Repeating myself, but Pillars was the perfect New Game coming around (at the time), to introduce this. I hope they'll take a look at it, iterate on it, & maybe consider this in the future. Thanks for reading ! PS : I think visually Unique Mage Robes were lacking aswell, but hopefuly they'll do something about this in Deadfire !
  21. There's also a Livestream planned soon, they say it's about Fan Art but... Maybe it's where we'll hear about the Backer Beta, I surely hope so ! I'd rather not be too much hopeful, I'd set myself to disapointment if there's nothing but Fan Art. PS : Fan Art is Cool ! Custom Portraits specificly.
  22. Don't worry it is still Q1 2018, it's been said in every Interview (IGN, PCGamesN, etc) it hasn't change. What changed is it's getting harder & harder to wait for this, "Monthly Updates" doesn't help much now. At this point I just check what Josh brings in on his Twitter account, & wait for the Backer Beta to pop out from nowhere. & still, after that we will have to wait for March (Around there) to finally get it in its full glory... Hard to be patient & passionnate about something at the same time.
  23. Yeah, Many thanks to Josh for this hidden (Great) Update 42. It sounds really cool.
