  6. Enchanting System has been completly revised for Deadfire, but it has not been fully presented yet. Something we know is that : A Flamesword can Evolve her "Flaming Properties", like Propagation or Immolate an Ennemy. [things like that, but not necessarily what I mentionned here] Technically, I believe Josh said that : Every Weapon you find, CAN'T be a Flaming Weapon. Meaning if you just find a regular sword, it seems that you can't make it a Flamingsword. If you like Fire, you'll have to find it first & then evolve it as you want. [Weapons like this are kind of "Unique", you know] More infos are in the Q&A Session on Obsidian's Youtube Channel, but it will take you some time to watch'em all. But that's what I understood from what Josh said about Enchanting so far.
  7. Because I don't remember seing her in POE I, & she may appear in II ? Who knows... My turn for a question : Why being so rude exactly ? I sincerely apologize if this single post ruined your entire evening... By the way, Concept Arts, can be used for an Entire Franchise : Pillars I, II, III, IV, V, VI, & so on. Below, some exemples that didn't make it into Pillars I, but maybe will, in Deadfire. Maybe a concept for Clothes, but that'd be weird. They used to design Outfits like this : Given the amount of details in her Art, she really looks like she's a "Defined" Character. Dunno... EDIT : Speaking of Iselmyr, pulling her out of Aloth's body/soul > Tranfering her Essence in whatever receptacle/body, [Like the one in Original Post], & having her as a new Full Companion in Deadfire's Expansion sounds kinda cool. But I like his twisted mind.

I just watched the first Pillars Of Eternity campaign video, and this Concept Art was shown back then : It's not specifically said if it's a Concept Art from Pillars Of Eternity in the video, but I wonder if this/she could be an Archmage, or even : An Iselmyr Concept ? She kinda looks like a Druid aswell. The "Greenish" color palette kinda reminds me of Llengrath, don't know why. Was she in Pillars or from an entirely different Game ? Anyway, I remember I loved this piece of Art back in the day, & always wondered if she was from Pillars Of Eternity.
  9. Well, Pillars I gives them the opportunity to make something entirely different now. So I don't think they should regret anything. The vision they had came to be, and they should be proud of it ! Especially for a Kickstarted Game. Many have failed in this endeavor before them. All they want is to Improve the overall quality, but in terms of "Tone", both games will have a special place, and stand as their own entity. They'll always pursue improvment, from I to II, and from II to III.
  10. The Theme was pretty damn serious aswell [hollowborn Childrens, etc]. I took it seriously from the beginning, once exposed to the setting, and had no problem with it. Plus, there was some humor. Even if a God is crushing everything around, I believe Deadfire will have lighter moments [& they already talked about it]. Really, soul-less babies is way darker for me than chasing an angry god. There was no [real] place for humor to be omnipresent in the first Pillars. I Have to say, I liked it.

When it comes to Obsidian & people around here, [On their Forums], I believe most of the Community here have kind of a "Take Your Time" mentality behavior like you, [And I'm part of this mentality too]. Even if I can't wait to play the game, if they decide to delay the release window, I won't blame them but still support them. I'd tend to believe Obsidian if they say It's for the best.

  15. The Watcher of Caed Nua will be the Main Villain at some point. & you, the Player, will have to stop him. The choices you made AS the Watcher in I & II, will affect the world where your new protagonist evolves. So you can see the consequences occur, made by the Watcher (now the Main Villian). Over the entire Game, you will believe that you ARE still the Watcher of Caed Nua, but in fact, the real Watcher (from I & II), created you, by taking a part of his own soul. He put it in a hollowborn body, as an experiment only he, (The real Watcher) knows what the purpose of this, was. Big twist is that you believed you were THE Watcher of Caed Nua the entire time, but you were not, only a reminiscence of a past Live. And now, you have to fight for your own life, searching for answers from your Creator. Why did he created you, what was his goal ? Your Goal is to Seek & Destroy your Evil Creator. (or talk your way through) To summarize, your New Character will suffer from the consequences introduced by the real Watcher. Pitch for Eternity III.
  16. No no, just things they saw that caught their attention or something like that. Whatever that is, just a point on what has been said about the game & where they intend to make it go. Just keep it simple.

Was thinking that a future Update could be set around : Most of the Feedback you've received from the Community & how it is regarded by the Devs.Like : "We've seen your concern about [X], here's what we think of your proposals". About [Y], we think you're right, here's what we intend to do to adress it". On [Z], we don't believe anything needs to be changed, here's why". Just to share, where you're at, what is being regarded, Etc. What are you thoughts on Community proposals, be it right or wrong. I don't really know how difficult it would be to do this but, answering everyones concerns by hand on each individual Forum Threads, seems unfeasible. Better off setting up a Stream or an Update & "globalize" All/Most of the informations you've gathered & what you can share. Just my two-cents. If I had to point most of the things being discussed : Pace of Combat / Spellcasting. Difficulty. (PoTD seems to be the most discussed around various Threads) Classes. (Paladins Order, Wizards, Shifter Subclass, Etc. What people wanna see changed) Resolve vs Strengh/Might. (Devs State on this) Anything Devs wanna brought on the table. If it's possible to give us a sense of what is : A Priority at the moment. B & C priority, as far as you can think about it.
  18. Hmm, that's quite inconvenient, as I'm about to buy myself a 21:9. I guess it implies them painting/adding more to these backgrounds to fix this. It probably happens everywhere there's a Parallax Layer involved too, like on top of Neketaka mountain (Serpents Crown). So... Quite a lot of work.
  19. That might be a Solution, yeah. Though, if the Shifter really have to Focus on Non-Spellcasting, as it's currently presented now, [which, I like it that way personally], then it just needs more Passive choices [at least], or Custom Actives. Overall, I really think the Shifter, [this Subclass specifically], needs a Reworked Tree. Aside from Spells, having 4 choices when every other classes have ~10+ Options is a problem. My comparison with Tyranny's Kills-In-Shadows may sounds a bit like "too much", [& I agree], but still I'd really like the Shifter to have somekind of similitudes with this Character. It'd make it truely unique & fun to play. I mean everything is in its Name, it's a Shifter, not a "Nature Wizard"... Which is what a regular Druid is honestly. In the end, just "Revising" it, is all I'm concerned with. I hope they'll take a look at it.
  20. I wonder if we'll get an Update before PaxSouth, & if it will be streamed. I hope so, they might reveal something. More of the game like Ship related stuff or simply confirm a release date. Or an eventual delay... Seems like there's a lot of stuff to be done on Deadfire, considering the amount of feedback on many subjects in the beta.
  21. When equiped with Two Pistols, the character Fires only one of them, then reloads it, then fires the second one, etc... Wasn't the concept of this to fire both of them, then Reload ? I might be mistaken though, but I think that's what was intended no ? If it's not, there's no bug then.
