  1. My character gave up after that dialogue. In Deadfire she became an Assassin.
  2. I was not a fun of the Health/Endurance system, but I prefer how it was in PoE1. There are other things involved, of course, but I really liked to go to a dungeon, Durgan's Battery for example, and carefully select my spells and resting only when absolutely necessary. I know this is just my experience since most people would simply rest spam. For me a better way of preventing it would be to lock the party in a dungeon like in the beginning of PoE1 and restricting the number of camping supplies. Maybe adding things like enemies respawning when you rest or forcing rests only once a day. And yes, I know other people wouldn't like this...
  3. I'm considering not using any mods and roleplaying my way through less quests to reduce the xp gain. I'll finish the game earlier and replay with another character, choosing a different path.
  4. But considering that Skaen is Woedica's lapdog and you can't have a god of the oppressed without oppressors, then I guess hypocrisy is in his portfolio as well. He's Steerpike from Gormenghast imo. also dont see "hypocrisy" here myself, just the dialectic. A matter of opinion, but I think all his talk of punishing the oppressors is bs. See how he treated my character in PoE1:
  5. Skaen is not against doing good. As long as you do it by inflicting pain on the oppressors. But considering that Skaen is Woedica's lapdog and you can't have a god of the oppressed without oppressors, then I guess hypocrisy is in his portfolio as well.
  6. I totally agree with this, but there are many games released with bugs or even unfinished, so they must have pressing reasons to do it.
  7. It looks much better than the teaser.
  8. I suggest taking Durance for healing, Aloth for the spells and maybe Eder so he can try to knock them prone. If Grieving Mother has the Body Attunement ability (-7 Armor) then definitely bring her along. Good luck!
  9. Don't forget it is also interspecies. And since I'm planning a chaotic Dragon Disciple, well... I think it will get depraved for sure. I pre-ordered the game but I have been waiting for them to fix the more serious bugs. And I will wait until the later parts of the game are working well too.
  10. Don't worry. Soon it will be "Those damn AIs and their pet kids"
  11. this x 10000 lmao. im depraved enough that i actually found it kinda hot. There is an option that certainly heat things up.
  12. Hmm... what if Aloth reawakened and what we see now is yet another personality? Which is another way of saying that restarting at level 1 isn't a problem. Most companions did that in PoE1.
  13. The stonepiercer ones are different and can heal themselves. Check the wiki: https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Eyeless Make an attempt with all possible bonus: - +2/+3 on each attribute from food. You can find most of them in the food section of the crafting menu. For resolve you'll need dragon's eggs or meat. Buy if you don't have. It's expensive, but money shouldn't be a problem if you reached this part of the game. - For perception you'll need the food sold in the Stalwart's tavern. Get the drink there for +3 armor too. - Rest in the Stalwart's tavern (+2 Mig, +2 Con, +2 Dex) or in Dyrford (+2 Mig, +2 Con, +2 Int). - Get the "massage" bonus in the Salty Mast for your protagonist. - Check your potions and scrolls to see if there is anything you could use. Including those scrolls that increase Survival and Lore skills. They may allow your party members to use better scrolls for a time. And with higher survival they will heal more with Second Wind. - Use a scroll of defense in the beginning of the battle and recast if necessary. - Spells that lower defense are a good option too, like Nature's Mark and Stag's Horn. - Increase your accuracy with Scroll of Valor or potions of Eldritch Aim. - Buy scrolls of Hail storm in Stalwart (the Orlan cart vendor near the mines) I think they are vulnerable to prone so have any fighters use knockback and equip someone with the belt that gives this ability, if you have it. The spells Slicken and Calling the World's Maw might help with that too. You can try the Paralysis scroll too. Use figurines/summons, but not all at the same time, and try to keep your party far from the Eyeless. Concentrate in one first and then the other, to prevent them from healing. Which companions are with you?
  14. Oh, sorry. PotD stands for Path of the Damned, the highest difficult (although you can also play PotD with Trial of Iron and it will be even more difficult). If you are playing on normal, it may be that you are not good enough to defeat them at the level you are now. Nothing to worry about, some battles can look impossible if you are not familiar with the mechanics and specially if you are at a lower level. Coming back later when your spellcasters have a new level of abilities will certainly make it easier. And maybe you'll have more items too. But it could also be a bug. Did you check the Eyeless' life during the battle? Are they getting hurt? Maybe you are close to defeating them. If they are, try to use abilities and attacks that target their weakest defense to cause more damage more frequently. They are immune to fire, in case you didn't notice. Edit: what about your party? Are you eating consumables before the fight? +2/+3 in each stat can make a considerable difference. And there is also the +3 armor from the drink sold in Stalwart's tavern.
  15. There are at least two endings (actual endings at the end of the game) that could not be imported into a Pillars 3. What will they do for those players, if they do make a third game? For Pillars 1, I can only think of one ending (actual ending at the end of the game) that didn't make sense for importing, the one in which the Eyeless destroy everything. Sawyer confirmed that they retconned that ending if you imported such a save. (You could of course die in either game, kill Lady Webb in Pillars 1, or reject Berath's offer at the start of Deadfire, but I don't think anyone expected those to be imported...) Just pretend there was another ending and the Watcher had a nightmare. It would have been nice if there was more reactivity from the PoE1 end. For example: if you empowered Woedica, she could stop Eothas and the Wheel would only suffer minor damage. But who knows what will be the story in PoE3...
  16. Their picture implies that Ondra's and Wael's challenges as well as 4.0 will come in 2019. And there is also that "more to come" in the lower right. The lines for both of those things curves into Dec 2018 though. True. I keep forgetting about these lines, they are really thin. But the dashed line towards 2019 is there too.
  17. He should be careful. One day people might consider this as bad as James Gunn's tweets.
  18. If you don't like Pallegina, choose the option to have her disobey orders when you create a legacy. Then have fun in the dialogue when you meet her for the first time in PoE2.
  19. Are you playing on PotD? Last time I played I was in PotD and they were nothing like what you describe. I imagine it is a bug. Did you try coming back at a higher level?
  20. I prefer to start at level 1 than at level 17. The explanation for the Watcher going back to 1 is ok, but don't ask me about Eder, Aloth and Pallegina...
