  1. Well, that's for LA to handle, not Obsidian. If I had to guess, I'd say that Obsidian are gauging people's excitement and maybe even what they might be able to change for the PC and International releases, as the US Xbox version is now out of their hands? I'm still hoping for more items and maybe something else for both those versions. Only seems fair if they have the time to put it in.
  2. You are correct. HK-47 does indeed shut down if his master is terminated...Hmm...raises alot of interesting questions...
  3. Well, Bastilla_Skywalker, all the information is in the Tales of the Jedi comic series. There are both stories from the Sith era 5000 years before the movies, as well as from the Republic era 4000 years before the movies. Specifically, you learn how the Exar Kun War(remember, the one Jolee's wife died in) played out, and the people who were involved in that conflict. I think it's a really good collection of stories. I've got them all.
  4. I'm from Denmark. I live in a town called Vallensbaek, just outside Copenhagen. Great to see the diversity here
  5. I don't remember my first one, but the one that's stuck with me was Daemond Bauch. Can anyone guess where I got the idea for that?
  6. You just anwered yourself. We know absolutely nothing about her. This makes her the most misterious character in the game  (I like misterious women ) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hehehe. Exactly I don't know...there's just something about her. No, not in my opinion. I'd hate to have either her or Revan as a baddie. Mostly because I'm very fond of the Bastila character and I'd *really* hate to have to kill her. Besides, as a dedicated romantic, I thought the best part of the first game was her finally saying "I love you too, with all my heart" to my Revan on the Star Forge...
  7. I would recommend the ATI Radeon 9800Pro or 9800XT. With the new generation appearing here, these cards are slipping in price and still pack considerable punch. Hope this helps.
  8. Well, to be honest, given the lack of media(prior to the launch of the new site), I don't blame people from looking last at LA.
  9. Oh, it looks good. But I can't help being a pessimist, as I was somewhat let down by Ep1 and 2. They had great trailers, for sure. They just lacked the...spunk of the Classic Trilogy, I think. But, it'll be interesting to see, for sure
  10. I'm in the University. Studying for a Master's Degree in Engineering with a speciality in Communications Technology. And I work at a hardware store on the side, to help get me through the studies. Sounds like a great purpose and a nice dream, Bastila_Skywalker...Hang on to it I'm sort of an amateur biologist, I've always been fascinated with marine life. Whales in particular.
  11. The Handmaiden looks very interesting, as do Visas Marr. But the one I've found myself the most interested in, namely Atris will apparently not be a party member or have a possible romance plot, which I find somewhat disappointing, if it's true. But it looks like a good bunch, though Bastila will always have a special place with me
  12. First time through KOTOR, I used a green-bladed sabrestaff. I like green, though the orange from the Heart of the Guardian crystal looks very good too. I hope they bring that one back.
  13. I'm registered over there under the same nick as here. Met alot of good people there and had some great debates in the good old KOTOR days. Haven't been there in awhile, though.
  14. Thanks, Akari. You've been a good guy to all of us, and especially us PC gamers who were very frustrated a few months ago. I do hope you'll work on other sci-fi RPG's in the future, just with more honest publishers. Cheers, mate
  15. Heh, Bastila. But that's probably a syndrome of me having a fic going on where just that is a possible ending.
  16. Call me a softie, but the reason I'll start out with an LS game is because I want to try and romance Atris.
  17. Alot of people are speculating that Sion is the dark side voice you hear over at the Official Site. Nothing has been confirmed, but it would be a reasonable assumption.
  18. Well said, Gotag. Personally, I don't think the game will have problems getting me emotionally involved, as there were moments in Planescape:Torment, that almost had tears forming in my eyes. I do have faith in Obsidian's creative talent. However: In terms of the PC version I hope that Obsidian uses every hour of every day from December to February with hardware testing and bug fixing. I say this because with KOTOR, bugs such as the Carth-bug were eliminated for the PC version. But the PC version flat-out refused to run on alot of platforms in the retail version. Bioware had to release a beta patch for alot of people to be able to even get to the character creation screen. And these were normal PC's, not just custom-rigs with special drivers etc. So, I do hope they dedicate all their efforts towards making the PC version running perfectly, post the December Xbox release. And that they will continue to support KOTOR2 through patches, where neccesary.
  19. Yes. Sorry, I should've been clear about that. I'm into action and adventure games. Though space games are one of my favorite genres as well. Oh, as I do like my PC for those reasons as well, Hades. Though lately, I find myself using the laptop for work and my regular one for gaming and "fun stuff". As I said: I got the consoles because they offered very good platform exclusive titles.
  20. Well, to be perfectly honest, I'm thinking of going all the way and getting a PS2 for Metal Gear Solid 3. That game looks incredible, and I'm a huge Metal Gear fan. Solid Snake has the coolest voice, ever. Any other PS2 games anyone'd recommend? I do think it's overkill to buy an entire console just for one title.
  21. Well, to be honest it took me quite awhile to decide to get a console. And then: it was only because of both Microsofts and Nintendos recent price-cuts. I bought a major upgrade for my PC last February, incliding a gigabyte of RAM, a new HDD, a motherboard and a nice Athlon64. All that set me back around $750, because alot of the hardware was new. But even then, I had a good video card, and plenty of other HDD's, DVD drives, etc. from my previous PC. I like my PC because I can gradually upgrade it. Now: When the Xbox and PS2 were first released, they retailed for around $3-400, at least. To me: That's too much of an expense for a newly released platform that can never be upgraded. Besides: When those two were released, there weren't any games out for either that really intrigued me. Now, when I got my Gamecube this summer, I got it because: Price: It had dropped to around $150 for the console, plus a game and a limited edition item. To me: that was a solid offering. In addition: the GameCube offered alot of platform-exclusive titles, such as Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Metroid Prime and Eternal Darkness. All great games, that would never be released on other platforms. At the time: the Xbox had good titles, but it was around $50 more, and most of the titles available for it, that interested me, were also available for the PC, so I considered it a needless expense. But when Microsoft dropped the price of the Xbox here in September, I changed my mind. I figured it was finally in my price range, and after some digging around I found titles such as Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, and Crimson Skies that were, at the time: Platform exclusive titles. The games sell the platform, no doubt: But I find that it's really the exclusive titles that do this, not a game such as K2, that will be available on the PC anyway, and with more content than the "clean" Xbox version. Obviously: if you have Xbox Live; you can get the PC content as well. I don't think I'll get the Xbox2 when it's released. I think I'll do as I did this time around and wait until it drops into an acceptable price range, and the games for the platform have been designed. So I know what types of games this platform will focus on. I just don't have the money to go and get these things when they're released, which is why I regularly upgrade bits of my PC. I'm not biased against consoles, I just find them too darned expensive when they're first released.
  22. Hehe, it is indeed that. Personally, I'm not biased against any platform, I have a gaming PC, an Xbox and a GameCube. I haven't yet had motivation for getting a PS2, but that might change when Metal Gear Solid 3 is released. That game is awesome. If I'm biased against anything it's publishers who don't do global releases, but meh. They'll get theirs, eventually.
  23. Whatever guys, whatever. I just thought you'd be tired of seeing Adria's "thread locked" sign by now.
